A couple of you may know we recently had a fire at the house. Those of you who remember my name much from here may remember that I am a tarot fanatic and I have an extensive collection of decks. The insurance adjuster asked me to make a list of the decks I lost on a nifty little form she has. I am turning the list over tomorrow and was going through it one last time. I realized that I had just given the names to some decks and just the common name to others.
The following is a partial list of things I was asking the insurance company to reimburse me for.
Alcohol Greenwood Glow in the Dark Robin Wood Sacred Circle Celtic Wisdom Merlin Avalon Glastonbury Medicine woman Halloween Druidcraft Shining Woman New Orleans Voodoo Metamorphosis Unicorn Dragon New Vision Revelations Secret Forrest Cat People Lord of the Rings Vampire Black Mary K. Greer Circle of life Universal Goddess Mermaid Deviant Moon Pearls of Wisdom The Star that Never Walks Around Paulina Legacy of the Divine Sacred Rose And last but certainly not least I almost asked the insurance company to reimburse me for
Karma...
You can bet when I quit laughing I am going to put "tarot" after every single one.
I just had to share. For those of you who didn't know. All the humans plants and animals got out totally fine. I am wondering however about the ghost

Holy motherfluff! That's a lot of tarot decks! Reading the list without knowing they were all tarot decks sounds rather funny though... I hope that you guys are alright...how bad was the fire? As for the ghost, well concidering they're a ghost they should be fine right? O.o

I lost about 75% of my collection. I still have somewhere between 35 and 50 decks.( close to 200 total) A lot of my favorites I had downstairs because I use them and look through them more often. I did however have some collectible ones that were stored not far from where the fire started. So far though the insurance adjuster has been great.
I had a HUGE laugh at what I was asking for. People have been teasing me asking how much I expect to get for New Orleans VooDoo, Saying I should ask for the New Vision first because I need that most and how do I expect an insurance company to ever believe that I owned Glastonbury! I love my friends.
The fire was not bad considering. Only 3 rooms and the attic were affected, but then there was a lot of water damage. We talked to the contractor today and the house will be pretty amazing I think when they are finished. I hate being away from the house though. I am really attached to it.
Thanks for your good wishes all.

There is a weird room in the house, its 4 ft wide and 12 feet long. I think when the house was built it was a dressing room. We had a computer in there, it was set up like a little office. The fire either started in the computer or in the outlets. The house is 100 years old, so I think it was the wiring.
There was no hot water in the house they put us in. Well now thats fixed, but the heat is not coming on.
We just keep dealing as it comes along. Its going to be worse on Cat, she is here all weekend, at least the rest of us have work where it gets warm. Cat and I might go get coffee later and drive for a bit, but to get really warm before going to bed.

Ah right, yeah if the house is that old then that seems to be the most likely problem. Well I hope you guys warm up soon and that everything is fixed up promptly.
