This can be tweaked and changed as necessary, but do tell me what you guys think. Also, the name for the school I came up with is just a place holder, until we have a better name. Quote: For Oliguard's School of Magic and Dreams, the absurd was an everyday occurence. From singing combination locks and sentient dodgeballs to giant biting apples and calculators bent on world domination, for the permanent residents of this place such things were commonplace. They were all well used to random people popping up out of nowhere to take a test they probably hadn't studied for, fail it because their pencil kept tap dancing out of their reach, only to never be seen or heard from again. ( A permanent student of this school would have known that the best way to stop a pencil from tap dancing, was to threaten it with smooth jazz.) Most of the residents of the dream realms had gone to this school to prepare them for a future in one of the other realms, and Oliguard was well-equipped to prepare them for just about anything. Then one day, a few of the staff started to notice that things were not quite right. The science teacher was on her way to her private quarters one day after classes, when she saw that the attack apple she had stationed at the entrance had started to act quite docile, and in fact, was missing its sharp pointy teeth! The nurse had started to take note of many strange things to. No students had reported in with spouting lunchtray related incidents in over two weeks, and the beds in the infirmary had nearly stopped floating all over. From what it looked like... everything was becoming normal. In order to stop this from happening, the science teacher had started to construct a device that would, in theory, imbue their realm with magic again. She had asked some of the staff and many of the students for help with the calculations and construction, but most of the students were more preoccupied with homecoming than they were with anything else! To top it off, the PE teacher, normally just as focused and bright as the science teacher, was more concerned with turning homecoming into some kind of pageant, and thought working on the machine could wait. The science teacher was furious with the PE teacher, and would often end up fighting with her. Meanwhile, the nurse noticed that time was running out for the attempts to stop normalization...

I think it's a great premise, and you can definitely work off of this! Now, think about things that can happen each day, and what will solve the problem! biggrin

Alright, let me type this out in here so everyone knows about it. This is the plot I have so far. Day 1: It starts out in the science teacher's class, whom from here on out I shall call Olivia. Olivia is distressed by the findings of the nurse and her own observations about the state of their realm, so to fix it she has built a device that should, in theory, re-imbue their realm with magic. She's trying to get the students, as in the guests, to help her but the PE teacher's student assistant, is to excited for homecoming pageant to focus on that. The PE assistant is generally distracting and annoying, so most of the students shouldn't be focused on the what Olivia is trying to get them to do. Just when Olivia is starting to get well and truly furious with her student's lack of attention, the PE teacher comes into her class and gets nearly all of the students help him with the pageant preparations. This causes Olivia to snap, and she tries to jinx him, but due to her emotional state and the normalization, she ends up knocking herself out. This causes the PE teacher to have a near panic attack, so he gets some of the students to help him take her to the nurse's office. When that is done, and he's sure that she's settled in, he takes the rest of the students to the auditorium to help him work on preparations. While he is distracted, Olivia's student assistant sneaks off to go work on her machine while she's out for the night. And that should wrap up the main plot for day 1, but we can add more as we go along. Here, we are just trying to make sure everyone is introduced, and that people know what the main plot will be.
Also, I'm sure this has grammar errors and stuff like that, but I'm kinda tired right now, so I'll fix that later.

This is for day two. This is just what we discussed and it's far from final, and I want to include the nurse more as well, but for now, my brain is running on empty, idea-wise. Day 2: Olivia wakes up in the infirmary unable to really remember how she got there, until she consults with either the nurse or the nurse's assistant. She feels frustrated by the PE teacher's lack of concern, but then she gets an idea. Get the PE teacher and more of the students working on her machine by simply telling them that she added something that would improve the pageant, if only she could get it to work. She then finds her assistant still tinkering away at the machine, so she clues the assistant in on her plan and then they both take the thing to the auditorium. Meanwhile, the PE teacher and everyone are still working on homecoming prep. Just as he's wondering whether or not he should go check on Olivia, she shows up with her assistant and the machine. He's delighted to hear that the machine will improve the pageant, so he tells about half the students to help her work on it. However, working in close proximity with her makes him nervous as he has a crush on her, and so he takes several mysterious breaks during the day, each of which being preceded by a rather nervous look or a trip up of words. Olivia notices these, and vaguely wonders what's up with him, but is to focused on her machine to give it to much thought. Of course she will still interact with the guests, but alot of it will be she will be multitasking in a sense.
And that's as far as I've gotten for day 2. Day 3... will be typed out later when we have day 2 more decided.

Alright, here is my rough draft. I'll clean it up and give it's own thread when it's finished. Quote: Day 1: We open with things starting in the science class. Olivia is trying to get the students that are in class, and the ones that are coming in, to focus on helping her with a machine that will, in theory, reimbue their normalizing realm with magic again. However, the PE teacher's assistant keeps distracting most of the class from the task at hand, so most of the students are to focused on other things to care. Olivia gets angrier and angrier, until finally her rage spews over when the PE teacher, Felix, comes into her class and gets most of her students to come with him to help with preparations for the homecoming pageant. Olivia angrily fires a spell at Felix, but because of their realm's lack of magic, and her own lack of focus, she only manages to knock herself out. Felix panics, and gets the science teacher's assistant to help him take Olivia to the infirmary. When that is done, he takes all the stundents with him to the auditorium to help him with preparations for the homecoming pageant. Later on that night, when Felix is very distracted, the science teacher's assistant sneaks off to continue working on the machine. Day 2: Felix returns to work early, after checking up on Olivia in the morning. Later that day, Olivia wakes up, and talks to the nurse/nurse assistant, and learns she has been out since firing off that spell. She forces herself to remain calm this time, and asks the nurse to go around the school to make observations about what is going on in the rest of the school. Olivia returns to her class to find her assistant still working on the machine, but finds there are no other students around. The assistant gives Olivia the idea to to say that the machine will help with the pageant, if only to get the students helping Felix to help her as well. Olivia and the assistant then carry the machine to the auditorium. When they arrive in the auditorium, they find the students hard at work. When Felix notices them Olivia tells him that she has modified the machine slightly so that it can help with the pageant to. Felix is delighted and assigns about half of the students to help her. So it goes throughout the day. Felix would sometimes leave the auditorium for fairly long lengths of time, leaving Olivia to wonder vageuly what is up with him, but she is to preoccupied with directing the work around her, to give it to much thought. Throughout the day, the nurse will give reports to Olivia and Felix about the state of the school, and this makes them both slightly more worried, which culminates at about midday, when both Olivia and and Felix seem to lose their powers! They appeal to the students to help them and the strangest, funniest solution seems to give their powers back temporarily. The loss of powers seems to light a fire under both teachers, and Felix leaves the audatorium for a bit not long after getting his power back. Olivia openly ponders what has gotten into him, but soon returns to work, at a near frantic pace, fearing losing her powers again. Felix returns about midafternoon, and find that preparations for the pageant are nearly complete. He seems to be pleased with himself, but he still feels a bit guilty about not helping Olivia with her machine more. So he he sends his assistant to get his notebook from his study, which has some of his own notes on the realms in it. He then tries to get up the nerve to help her with the machine himself, but ultimately loses his nerve and simply asks even more students to help her, while he finishes the pageant mostly by himself. Meanwhile, his assistant returns, and looks rather smug about something. The assistant tals to him about some pictures of Olivia s/he found in Felix's notebook, and this causes Felix makes the assitant sweat not to say anything to anyone about them. Felix goes through his notes once, and then finishes up the last of the prep, before he falls asleep for the night. Olivia, ever the workaholic, ends up passing out on next to her machine, so therefore the students are forced take her body to a quiet section of the auditorium so she can rest.
