• [ GROWTH • information ] •

These growth regulations and requirements are in effect for all Lunarians starting from February 10, 2012.

Complete your requirements -> Apply for growth -> Get growth approved

  • The first step on your journey to promotion is to complete all the requirements set. The requirements listed in this thread are the bare minimum requirements for growth. Completing them all does not guarantee you a growth until staff approves your growth application, based on your character's personal growth and your current in-thread and guild activity. We value character growth more than the amount of words you can write, so please take your time.

  • Meet the word requirement, and make sure it is quality. Journal entries, solo RPs, and solo battles (if you choose to do them) should generally be plot-driven, highlighting character growth. Journal entries must also be at least 500 words, and solo battles must be at least 1500 words. We will be checking this when a form for growth is submitted.

  • When you feel as if your character is ready, fill out your growth form and submit it for approval. A member of staff will then check to see if all your requirements are met and judge whether your character has developed enough to allow growth. We will either lightly critique your form and ask you to fix a few things, or approve your growth. The whole point of this process is to ensure that our excellent RP standard is kept.

  • When your growth is approved, you be entered into an available artist slot, based on your preference. Growth slots will open roughly every 4 months - this is subject to change depending on shop volume and demand.

[ Types of RP ]

  • Private Roleplays - A closed RP between your character and one or more other character. If the RP is with a non-owner, up to two owner/non-owner RPs can be counted for the owner's growth requirements, per stage. Only RPs started after the quest Lunarian has come into existence can count for his or her growth requirements, however.

  • Open Roleplays - An RP which any character may join. These are shop-run, and there is always a central event or theme.

  • Battle Roleplays - These can be done either alone, or with a Lunarian of the opposite faction. Only up to half your battles can be done solo. This is because we want people to battle each other; RPing your battles out gives you a better chance to develop your character. There is a total word requirement of 1500 words on your character's part for each battle roleplay.

  • Metaplot - These roleplay events will happen rarely, to advance the plot of the shop. They will sometimes feature multi-point battles as well as special prizes, so participate while you can. Unless otherwise stated, you must have 5 posts in the metaplot RP for it to count towards your requirement.

  • Journal Entries - These should be in solo RP format. Roleplay Summaries CAN count as Journal Entries only if they are adequately written and contain valuable reflection on your Lunarian's part as well as some form of “after” story. There is a minimum requirement of 500 words for entries you would like to count for growth.

  • NPC Roleplays can be requested

• [ FIGHTER • growth requirements ] •

This post will describe the Fighter growth requirements. They are
slightly different than that of the Soul Conduit requirements.

Academy Student

All Lunarians start out here. Just average youths attending classes;
however, it is at this stage where your Lunarian begins to choose their
path in life. To serve the Legion? To serve the Retainers? Should they
become a priest? Or maybe a captain? Your little peasant begins to
work their way up the chain from here.

[ requirements ]
6x Battles
4x Regular Roleplays
5x Journal Entries
Consistent Thread and Guild Activity

Fighter

So your little baby is growing up all big and strong and decides to kick
some a** on the dark side-- light side? Whatever. They're all revved
up here with some starter's gear, practicing hard and getting their
game on. Fighters tend to be those more daring and adventurous.

[ requirements ]
1x Roleplay with NPC
10x Battles
6x Regular Roleplays
8x Journal Entries
Consistent Thread and Guild Activity

Captain

Yeah, after some long, hard and grueling work, your fighter finally made
it here. They're all decked out and shiny now, looking hot in a primped
up version of their old, geeky starter's gear. Armed with a weapon
specially made for them, they're ready to kick butt and chew bubble gum.

[ requirements ]
3x Roleplays with NPC
15x Battles
1x Metaplot Participation
12x Regular Roleplays
20x Journal Entries
Exceptional Thread and Guild Activity

Tenryujin

It is said that for every Lunarian born, there is a star in the sky tied to
their soul, characterized by a spirit animal that represents them. Upon
achieving a level of mastery in their chosen vocation, the Lunarian is
able to absorb the spiritual energy of the star and regain some of their
ancestral power. Their bodies change immediately when this happens;
fingers become dragon-like claws, their scales cover more of their
bodies. Spikes and even horns can form, as well as a tail. As a Tenryujin,
their powers expand considerably.

[ requirements ]
There is no stage beyond that of the Tenryujin.

Soul-Conduit

Or maybe your baby wants to aid in a less angry, rageful way. They want
to make peace and love and-- well maybe not, but they know they don't
want to kill anybody. Here, your Lunarian faces tough trials of
self-discipline in order to gain control over the spirits around them.

[ requirements ]
1x Roleplay with Mizuki (NPC)
8x Battles
10x Regular Roleplays
12x Journal Entries
Consistent Thread and Guild Activity

Priest/Priestess

Now I'm sure your babe has been getting tons of ridicule for wearing a
dress all the time but you know what? He's at peace with himself and
you can't stop him. You need him anyway, how else will you heal
yourself? And how will you ever interrogate the other side without his
soul-ripping abilities?

[ requirements ]
2x Roleplays with NPC (non-Mizuki)
3x Roleplays with Mizuki (NPC)
10x Battles
1x Metaplot Participation
