Please, have a seat.In this corner there is a cluster of little tables, numbered 4 through 6, each covered by a blood red tablecloth. At the center, a well shaded lamp dimly glows just enough light to read the small card on the table with sample questions in case you run out of things to say. The music is quiet, the lighting is low, and the setting is perfect for a few rare moments in time to get to know another person. This roleplay thread is for three matched pairs to come and spend a few minutes talking. You have fifteen minutes of IC time (that is 36 hours OOC time) to ask a few questions, so make them count. If you can't think of any, feel free to use the questions provided on the table. And remember, you only get a few minutes - don't waste it on questions like 'what is your favorite color'! This is your chance to find a connection between students; find something in common, or share something you've never told anyone before. Make it count! Please note: These three tables can hear each other! If you want to keep something private, make sure you're whispering.

Charlie had grabbed as much food as he could carry with his tiny frame. He plopped it all, sloppily, on table four and then took a seat to wait for the lovely Cady and her magical pants.

Wait. What was it that Shun signed up for? The Reaper furrowed his brow as a number of pairs showed up on the blackboard. He.. didn't really know what to make of this. Apparently he had to meet up with someone, however. This.. wasn't some sort of speed dating thing was it? He couldn't help but frown at that thought. He soon went over to Table five to take a seat. The guy hadn't looked at the board for too long but he knew his supposed partner had a fairly short name. It didn't look like anything he really recognized though. Well, he'd find out soon enough who it'd be, he supposed.

Steffani wandered over to table six apprehensively, still glancing around for the student she'd been matched up with. Enzo had been his name, but that didn't help the girl; she hadn't met any Enzo yet. She hoped he wasn't something horrid.
Sliding into the seat, she glanced around, placing her purse in her lap like a security blanket. She fiddled with the stitching there while she waited.

"Weellll, hello there!" The short young man slipped into the chair across from her without too much noise announcing his arrival. He didn't look much older than 16, but with a dangerous look in his deep set eyes and an obscene amount of freckles. "You must be this 'Steffani'. Lucky me, huh? Name's Enzo," He had a smooth, high voice, not quite done with puberty yet but somehow keeping it under control- at least more control than the roaches that toppled from his hat as he tipped it politely. Behind him, his massive upright bass had ignored his command, happily wheeling about the concession table with a handful of deep resonating notes. "Now, I don't want you to be worried, doll, I knows a lot of Reapers got a thing with undeads. I like 'em, personally. My mom was undead y'know. Real respectable people, creatures don't give 'em enough credit. Think they just rot and mess up the joint."

Steffani jerked when the Reaper made his way over, eying him from her chair as her hands stopped their fidgetting. She bit down a smirk, tilting her head as she regarded him without a word. He seemed to be talking enough for the two of them, why not? "That's me." She offered finally, nodding to him and smirking a little. "Nice to meet you, Enzo."
She glanced over his shoulder, watching an instrument wheel about the concession stand. She blinked at it. Was it the weirdest thing she'd seen? Nnnnot entirely... Still. Oh, he was talking.
"That's kind of you." She said, glancing up and smirking a little. "Good to know not every Reaper's a jerk." Admittedly, she hadn't met one yet who'd been a jerk to her, but the rumors weren't hard to find if you looked. "I'm happy to say I don't rot." She grinned a little. "I just replace my parts." Or she would, eventually.
For now, she quite liked this shade of green. Her Master seemed to, too. "Is that yours?" She asked, nodding past their table to the bass who was wheeling about the concession, seemingly for treats.

Cady almost forgot she was supposed to be going to a table, concentrating as she was on stuffing her face. She stopped at last, regretfully, and toddled to the table Charlie had settled at with her own pile of snacks. "So, is this like, another eating contest? Because that was FUN."

Charlie was in the process of battling a candy rapper off some chocolate when Cady had taken her seat. He wouldn't have noticed her if she hadn't have spoken. The wrapper came flying off the chocolate and smacked Charlie square between the eyes. "Owwww...." He moaned, "As long as its not an opening contest," He rubbed his forehead. "Say... Where'd you get those AWESOME pants any way?" His attention was drawn to the shiny thing Cady was wearing below the belt. He wanted a pair. Butt smashing in concrete seemed all the more possible with a pair of those on.

"Gladys gave them to me! She is this really old witch only don't tell her she's old that I used to live with. But then she sent me to school so I could Re Present my Peep Holes."
Cady shrugged, as if to suggest she didn't see how this was so important.
"I am like, the pokes-person for manticores or sommat. Except this is a big school and I bet there are more, only they probably died in the libreddy. All those books can be dangerous for a person you know?" She shifted suddenly, and pulled a crumpled card from under her bum.
It was covered in the dreaded words. She flicked it at the table, adding, "Gladys said it's to protect me from preverts, pet her phials and wossnames from getting to my unmentionables." The last bit sounded quoted, and she squinted before commenting, "Why would anyone pet a phial?"

Charlie sat there munching loudly on chocolate as Cady explained things that were a little beyond his understanding. He was half way listening at the very least which was a lot to say for Charlie who almost never listened to what anyone was trying to tell him.
"Re Present?" Charlie was excited thinking maybe presents were involved now with this party. He still wasn't exactly sure what it was he was doing here but it didn't matter. They were Re Presenting things or something.
"Pokes person? You better not poke me with that tail bro," There was a loud crunch as Charlie took another bite of chocolate, "Cause then I'll have to be cross," There was a serious nod and the demon took another bite of the candy bar.
"Preverts? I don't know what those are. Why would Glady want to protect your mini pets?" It hadn't accord to Charlie that unmentionables was another word for panties. "If anything you need protection from van drivers. Never trust a man that promises you candy and a van ride." Charlie was very serious, "Though honestly I'm not sure why. I guess cause their candy isn't very good or somethin... Who wants not good candy?" And the candy bar was finished off in one last sloppy bite.

"Hmm?" Enzo had already leaned forward to get a good look at that green skin, crushing a roach that escaped his sleeve absently with a thumb, "Oh, yeah yeah, that's The Boss. He's m'main man, figuratively speakin', heh. So! You been at the school long? I just transferred. Got anyone you stuck on yet?" Important questions were important.

Steff flinched at the poor roach's demise before looking back at the bass, nodding a little. The subject had changed, though. Had to roll with it; the clock was ticking on their little meet-and-greet. She smiled a little. "No, I just got here too." She said, leaning back. "I've met a few friendly Undeads from my dorm, but otherwise..." She thought back to the Patchwork from before, but shook it off.
Focus on Enzo. That was polite, right? Right!
"You transferred? Were you in another school or something?" She frowned curiously. Steff had just been a new student, not a transfer. Where would someone transfer from, if not from Amityville? Hmmm.

"You are so right." Cady shuddered. There was nothing so disappointing as bad candy. After prom she'd tried to smuggle some spookies to her dorm, and rediscovered them only a week ago in a pile of junk. They'd tasted of mothballs and disappointment. "What's a van?"
"And I am only allowed to hit people with my tail when I am in the gym or Re-" she stopped. Red wouldn't tell her anything anymore, would she?
Cady frowned sadly.
