Communication is important to everyone. Regardless of path. And also regardless of who you're communitcating with. The everyday person communicates in some way to everyone they interact with. Whether it be through actual speech or through their actions.

Communication through the Internet is a little harder though. You don't know what the persons' tone of voice is or see what their body language is. Wording can help try to get across what a person is saying. Also how you type can be taken into account of how you come across to others. But the underlying problem with all forms of communication is interpretation. A person can say one thing while the other person thinks they mean something completely different by it.

Then you have communication in your path. Its still very, very, VERY important. And one has to remember that its a two way street. You have to listen and be open. But not too open to where you'll believe anything and everything. The phrase "If you stand for nothing, you'll fall for anything." comes to mind when I think about that (leading to me thinking about Sucker Punch and then House every time I say it like that).

So let's discuss the importance of communication in any aspect.

I guess emotes can sometimes substitute for real facial expressions in certain contexts when writing on the internet...

That's true. I didn't think about that. But then you also run into the problem where you might not have the emote you're looking for to get across the emotion you're trying to express.

Yes indeed, that gets annoying.
It's funny, when you hear me speak and try to communicate with someone it just doesn't sound as coherant as it does when I write...I guess that's why I love writing and my high school teachers loved reading my writing.

Communication is dangerous. gonk

The computer is already damaging to your eyes, you don't also want to be too open with people on the computer. lol
Cell phones give you tumors, microphones and loudspeakers have that high pitch squeal that can cause deafness and if you say the wrong thing person to person you can get shot.

I think those lonely old men working in cubicles 500 feet above the public eye have the right idea. xD

Yeah until the building comes crashing down. cat_whee

But yes communication is dangerous. People aren't always aware of that.

9/11 is bad. gonk
Also, I believe that Hitler and the Legion of Doom is selling Yellow Cake Uranium to unwed teenage mothers using the Great Lakes as a base.

On the bright side of things, sometimes communication can get you laid.
Or get you a job. Or get you a job that qualifies as having been laid. lol
