Avalbane McCarthy ☎xxxxxxxxxxxThe • Winter Ball had been much more than Avalbane had expected. Different People, Birds, Dancing, it was all so tedious and hard to keep up with. Luckily it was only something that would happen once a year. Of course she enjoyed herself, but she was so tired afterwards. She just wanted to sleep. That is exactly what she did. Avalbane went to her door room, C8, and lost the heavy dress, the leather shoes, one of the gloves, and dropped on the bed. Quickly she was off in a dream, one that she would enjoy tremendously. The dream itself consisted of her being carried away on a white horse by Juno. She was wearing the most beautiful dress and the sky shone the most brilliant colors of blue and purples. How could someone forget such an amazing scene? It was almost like Juno was the white night that would sweep in and save someone from horrendous situations. All that needed to change was the fact that this was all a dream.
Avalbane's door was filled with only her and all her pink items. There was a blue chair that looked like a seal in the middle of the room. Different stuffed animals scattered their way around it. Her bed had a rather large teddy bear positioned on it, on that she snuggled with at night. Next to the bed, on the right side, was a short brown bookshelf. Instead of books, it contained mostly sketchpads filled with her drawings. On the other side was a pink end table with a little lamp on it. The walls had some boards with drawing and pictures tacked to them. It looked like a normal young girls room, except just past the seal char was a blank bed and blank room. She had not wanted to intrude on her roommate, whenever they got there. She had only been at the academy for three days and already there was so much going on.
She had just slept on top of the covers last night. The morning sun shone through the blue curtains hanging over a window. The light hit some of Avalbane's face. This caused her to roll over and snuggle with her stuffed bear. It wasn't time for her to get up, not yet. She just wanted a few more hours of sleep. That would be fantastic.((I hope it is ok I just made it the next morning after the winter ball. I figured violet had just arrived just like Avalbane and hadn't had a chance to get her own room yet. Correct me if I'm wrong. XD; ))

Violet had been staying in the area that the aliens were given when they first arrived, after the crash. Not that it wasn't nice accommodation, but Violet didn't really like it having previously at her own academy been in a dorm room with a very good friend. She fell asleep that night after the ball, tired and slightly confused, her dreams consisting of home and family.
Once she awoke the teacher from Nova had came to find her, telling the little alien to collect what belongings she had with her. It didn't take Violet long to pack up said items as it was only a field trip they were taking when the ship crashed so all she had on her was; her school outfit, backpack, school supplies, school books, toothbrush/hair gel/ makeup, gym clothes plus two more outfits and two sets of sleep wear, something similar to an ipod only waaay more advance, her charm making kit. . Well those and the new dress she had gotten from Alex for the ball, the gown was lovely and folded neatly in her arms at the moment. Moving down the hall Violets attention peaked as listened to her teacher explain that the adults in charge of repairs noticed it might take sometime for their ship to be fixed so the students of Nova academy were going to be given rooms to board in for as long as they were at Sidekick academy. Amazing, Violet was swept away with the generosity of the people here on Earth, they were very nice...or at least all the ones she had met were.
Walking along side of her teacher with a lazy grin, Violet petted the fabric on her dress, thinking of the ball and of her roommate, if she had one that is..what would her new roommate would be like?
The ball had been...curious, so many new things, new people and new experiences, being kissed by Mr. Hack was certainly a strange surprise. Violets thistle skin tinted a bright green as she blushed on the thought, silly human traditions.. Yes she had picked up a little on the mistletoe bird later on in the evening of the dance. With a deep breath she cleared her mind, smiling to herself in hopes that her roommate at least didn't mind her being an alien..
Violet paused at a door when her teacher did looking over the number that was on it, C8. It kind of looked like a ...what did humans call that again, she searched her memory of which lacked a great deal of information on human things but she did come to the slightly unsure answer of a smiley face. Violet giggled as her head tilted to the side, green locks giving an abnormal sway with the tilt.
After her teacher explain this was her new room, Violet stared at the door turning to watch the older alien go on down the hall before turning back to the room and giving a lazy, sheepish knock. "...Hello? " came the low sweet call of the thistle colored girl, it might be a little rude to just walk in she reasoned. After a moment Violet took a hold of the doorknob and turned it one way then the other before pushing it open and slowly entering the room. Beady black orbs filling with a look of amazement at all the pink, cute items in the room. Violets black orbs danced delighted over all the room, staring at the blank side and smiling, reasoning with herself that must be her side?

Avalbane McCarthy ☎xxxxxxxxxxxA • noise was ringing in her ears. Was it the sound of the horse's feet clomping against the ground? Maybe it was the sound of the metal on Juno's amazing uniform? Or possibly it was something else? The noise seemed to infiltrate her mind even deeper then her dream, causing her to slowly open her eyes. The light rays penetrated her eyes as they tried to open, it was almost like being blinded. The door opened and a voice rung out in the silence. This female's voice was definitely not something in her dream. Her eyes opened up completely as she realized someone else was now in the room.
Raising up quickly, the cover feel from her top half. She turned towards the door and tried to see who was there through the bright light. At least the light seemed bright to her, especially since she was sensitive to the lights. "U-um, hoi?" She could make out a small figure, one like hers, but nothing more. One of her eyes closed and she squinted the other at this female figure. The girl standing in the room was similar to one she had seen at the Winter Ball.
While staring at this girl, she realized this much actually be her roommate. The female was too young to be a teacher or instructor. "Ah. u-um, failte. or um, 'ey. y-ye me roommate?" This might have been a rather silly question, but the green haired girl did not have any bags with her really. There was beautiful fabric drapped over her arm, but that was all Avalbane could see. Although she had just used the word failte instead of welcome, Avalbane had not thought about how most people would not know what that meant.

Beady black orbs landed on the moving figure that occupied the bed. Violet let a lazy smile slide across her lips, her hair still swaying though she was not moving at all. Violet entered the room further at the 'hoi' taking the girls words into consideration along with her looks the thistle colored alien was starting to think that her new roommate was in fact an alien like herself. "Failte.." Violet mocked the word back to the other girl smiling a little wider at it as she moved across the room in an unhurried way, sitting her dress and backpack down on the empty bed before depositing herself.
Roommate. Yes she was her new roommate, although ...Violet couldn't help but feel a little nervous and strange. After all she was new here, didn't have any belongings besides the dress and her backpack...she just didn't feel like this was her room...yet. Maybe the feeling would pass with time? She slid her eyes shut for a moment seeming to think before responding.
"Roommate. Yes I..am, my names Violet.." She opened her eyes with the words to give a soft stare at Avalbane. Hoping she had gotten that introduction thing down, thanks to the few English words she had learned from her teacher while here.Violet also had what she picked up off others in passing, though soon she would start the English classes offered here at the academy and if lucky find a friend that would help her along.
Her legs pulled together and she smiled at the other girl placing her hands over her knees awkwardly, not know really what to talk about or say at the moment as she waited for the other girl to tell her, her name. "..I'm from Nova..Academy. " Violet added in with a soft, sweet giggle just to give a little more about herself to the other. Her eyes landed on the rainbow like pattern around the other females eyes, admiring the colorful markings.

Avalbane McCarthy ☎xxxxxxxxxxxThe • female seemed to be friendly. She had a smile on her face at different times and her voice wasn't harsh or loud to Avalbane's ears. Of course the moving hair was something anyone would have to notice. It caught Ava by surprise at least. Her glowing peach eyes seemed to dart up towards the tufts of hair floating around in the air by themselves. Was there gel in it? Or what? Did her powers have something to do with hair manipulation? That would make perfect sense. Right? All the pale girl knew was that her roommate wasn't human, that was obvious. When the words were spoken back to Avalbane, it made her smile quite brightly. Did she understand her Ennian language or was that just her assuming what was said? It honestly didn't matter, it was nice to hear the language spoken back to her.
Watching as the other girl moved across the room and down onto the other bed, Ava put her hands in her lap and looked over the supplies. There wasn't much there. Much at all. Maybe she had an alien backpack that was special and made everything small and compact. That would have been rather handy when Avalbane showed up. She could remember that time perfectly since it was just a few days ago. Her arms were full of art supplies and she could barely see over the bags and things she carried with her. That was actually the first time she met Sharp Shooter, her knight in shining armor. But now wasn't the time to think about that.
The answer that came next was exactly what Ava had wanted to hear. She had finally gotten a roommate. Well finally would have meant a long time had passed, but to Avalbane, it was finally. She was so excited about this that her expression showed it all over. There was no way anyone couldn't see how happy she was. Even being shy and antisocial, she couldn't hide these feelings. "Yer 'av a...umm..r-really perty name." It was hard for Ava to say that, it just felt awkward, but hopefully it didn't come off that way. She did truly believe that the name Violet was pretty though. Too bad her skin wasn't the same color, it would have been obvious why she got that name. The part about being from Nova Academy confused her. What did that mean? Was she a transfer student? Was she leaving? What was Nova Academy? She was confused. "M-Me names Avalbane." She looked away for a moment feeling Violet's eyes on her.
She had to ask about Nova Academy. Had to. "Waaat is n-nova academy? Umm..ye 'eadin' back?" Avalbane kept diverting her eyes to different areas, feeling a bit semiconscious as the girl looked at her. Could she tell that Avalbane was illiterate and couldn't write? Could she feel how socially awkward Avalbane was? Her scars and looks had nothing to do with why she kept looking away. She knew how she looked and loved it. Though it did bring up the curios thought as to how Violet would act when she saw Avalbane's metal leg. Would that be normal? Good thing the cover was over it. Another good thing was that Violet was far enough away to not feel the cold air rushing off of Avalbane's body. The room was still probably colder then the others, but at least she didn't know who it was doing it.

The response she got from the other girl was most pleasing, Violet was indeed happy that this roommate was hers, so far at least. The mocked word had been just an assumption or rather just curiosity, however she wasn't sure but she might have heard it before, or maybe something like it from an older alien around Nova Academy? Or perhaps in a meeting she had attended back home, before her days at the academy? It was hard to tell.
A thistle hand reached up and Violet took hold of the longer lock of green near her face, stroking over the lock, a bit of a nervous habit of hers..
A sort of calm sweetness seemed to radiate from her once she started to settle down. Violet admired the other girl, taking note of the scars but seeming more interested in her hair, the colorful markings and the way her eyes almost seemed to glow. Yes, not a human Violet hummed to herself. Violet had to wonder how long the other girl had been here on earth, her English seemed very good compared to the words Violet could come up with, all of which were mostly mocked of what she heard or just the basic, VERY basic things that Nagataur, her teacher had taught her and the other aliens how to use.
Violet slouched slightly on the end of the bed, pushing her backpack up towards the top of it. Her eyes glittering in a soft amused laughter at the excited expression the other alien was giving her, at least expressions seemed to be similar here so it was a little easy to figure out the mood of things at least for Violet. She was very glad that things seemed to be going well. "Yer 'av a...umm..r-really perty name." Violets head tilted in a cute manner and she blinked at the other alien, taking a moment to try and figure out what the other was saying to her and smiling with a nod. Name, so that meant that she liked Violets name? Yes...it would appear so!
"M-Me names Avalbane." Violet listened and noted the exchange there, grinning lazily as the other girl turned from her, thinking that Avalbane appeared to almost be as shy as Napoleon. "Avalbane's...pretty. " Came a cooed reply, Violet also liked the other girls name it was unusual in the way that she had never heard it before and she liked unusual. Her hands fiddled at the lace on the dress. Anyone that knew Violet well could tell she was still a little on edge from the crash and all the new things, her whole nature had shifted somewhat from the friendly calm to the slightly shy and fidgety.
It was hard not to stare at Avalbane because Violet wanted to know all about her and the things that Avalbane knew about this plant! Biting her lip she realize that if the girl was in fact as shy as Napoleon then she shouldn't stare so much sine it might make her uneasy, Violet shifted her eyes around and landed on the seal chair with a giggle, such a cute thing! "Cute?" Violet asked before flickering her gaze back towards the other at the question.
Her lips pursed in thought as she mulled over an answer that would be acceptable, or rather she was trying to gather the words she knew and form them into a useable sentence because by Earth means, Violet to was illiterate and couldn't write. Violet lifted her skinny arms and motioned around in a rather unhurried gesture, "School...for Aliens." Alien is what she had been called when arriving right? It's what Nagataur said they were called here. A frowned formed for a moment as Violet considered the last of the questions she didn't have an answer for that. The ship had crashed here...and the Floofies were still working on the ship not to mention her teacher had told them they would...be here for awhile.
Violet gave the other a rather hopeless look and offered, " here for awhile?" The temperature of the room was well noted with the Naddlian, considering Violet was weak to cold, but it wasn't to uncomfortable for her so she didn't pay to much attention to it.

Avalbane McCarthy ☎xxxxxxxxxxxAvalbane • was a little surprised to hear someone say her name was pretty. It wouldn't have been such a surprise if she had more human, well alien, interaction. While living in the slums, she tended to play by herself and not freak out the other kids. That or the other kids were rather angry most the time. They didn't like the same create things she did. Maybe this girl, Violet, would be interested in these things. She wasn't like the kids Ava was use to. Well, no one at this school was like the kids Ava was use to.
The conversation had shifted to something else and the questioning tone in Violet's voice made Ava look to where the girls eyes were pointing. Oh! The seal chair! Of course! That was something rather cute that Avalbane was able to bring with her. It was one of her favorite things. "Ah aye! so'tiz me sayle chair. yer can sit in it if yer want. oi don't mind." She really didn't mind. Most of her things were able to be enjoyed by more than just her, she just never had someone who wanted to. Maybe her new roommate would enjoy those items as well.
The answer about being an alien made Avalbane smile and turn to look in Violet's eyes. "An alien? me too!" Her voice had raised somewhat and she was excited now. She knew that Violet was an alien, but she wasn't sure how she got here or anything. It seemed that she was new here. Although Ava had been here for a couple of days now, she knew that new feeling. This would also be the first person that she had admitted she was an alien to. "Well, for as long as yer stay, oi 'ope yer enjoy it an' we stay roommates. also, oi nu 'oy it feels ter be new 'ere. maybe...well maybe oi can 'elp. oi jist arrived at dis school a few days ago. maybe we cud go explore together? dat might be fun. if yer...if yer wanted ter anyway."
Avalbane had yet to run around and explore. She was given a small tour on her way to her room but that was about it. This would be a good time for two new students to run around and explore. Maybe they could pretend they were saving people or something. It didn't matter what they did, Avalbane just wanted to help Violet feel better. It would help them to get to know one another also.

Running her fingers on the lace of her ball dress Violet peered around the room while talking to her new roommate. Everything in here was pretty adorable. When she paused on the chair and got a response to it, Violet grinned and mocked the word "sayle chair? " This sayle chair was something else something that she decided she liked, at the offer the girl giggled and nodded her head. Not yet to take up on it but would likely in the future. Considering she was probably going to secretly explore the entire room when the other wasn't present, not to mess with her things but just to see what was where and what was what.
When her answer about being an alien made Avalbane smile, Violets lips spread a little wider in return; pleased. She nodded her head gently at the question of her really being an alien and brightened tenfold when the other informed her of being one herself. Violet had to stray back to investigating the interesting rainbow marks on the girl wondering if this was an alien trait? Was that a racial trait then ! ? So cute, it made Violet wish that her own race had something more than being purple and well very lively hair.
"Well, for as long as yer stay, oi 'ope yer enjoy it an' we stay roommates. also, oi nu 'oy it feels ter be new 'ere. maybe...well maybe oi can 'elp. oi jist arrived at dis school a few days ago. maybe we cud go explore together? dat might be fun. if yer...if yer wanted ter anyway." Violet beamed an amused smile as the other girl continued on speaking, she talked a lot funnier than the others around here maybe it was just her alien accent coming out since she was speaking this funny Earth language? Either way, Violet had to admit she kind of liked the way the other sounded but didn't want to say that aloud in case the other was shy about it besides Violet was sure she sounded just as funny trying to speak Earthling. While trying to process what exactly had been asked of her, she rose with a smile and nod at the other.
Violets head tilted in a cute manner and she blinked at the other alien, "yes?" Was the only answer she could muster for the other girl and she hoped that it was a good one since Avalbane looked so happy right now and Violet did not want to ruin that. If she would have fully understood that Avalbane wanted her to explore and get to know her, then the yes would have been much more enthusiastic or well probably not considering Violets excited was more of a lazy chill attitude.
The cold was getting a mite more noticeable to the little Naddlian as she rose up and got a little closer to the other girl, as such she gave a few rubs over her bare arms wishing that her gloves went up a little further right about now. This planet shifting weather was strange it was always warm on her home world. Violet let her hands fall to her sides and smiled expectantly to Avalbane before repeating the word the girl used, "fun?"

Avalbane McCarthy ☎xxxxxxxxxxxAvalbane • hadn't really noticed Violet looking at the rainbow marks on her face. She was accustomed to looking at people in the eyes when talking, so it made sense that she would be looking at that area. No one had really asked her about that before, so it didn't cross her mind.
Seeing Violet stand made Ava make a odd face that was a mix of happiness and wonder. It involved pouched out lips that resembled the letter O and very wide shimmering eyes. It was an odd face indeed. Upon hearing the other's response, Ava almost leaped up and hugged her. Instead, she decided to play it cool. "Really? Dis shud be fun! Ah've only been shown de cafeteria. Maybe we shud start on de whole other side an' wonder raun? Oi don't even nu waaat exists 'ere." This would be like an adventure. There was the possibility of mystery, danger, wonder, tons of things! There was no telling what they would find on the other side of the building. What if there was a Unicorn stable? Huh? That would be crazy!
When seeing Violet rub her arms, Ava remembered how cold it could be around her. She was just about to grab her hand and drag her from the room, but touching someone else was something she promised herself she would never do again. Maybe if Violet had a jacket or gloves. Or just a jacket, Ava had one of those. Next to her bed in the floor was her regular clothing. Reaching down she picked up the plaid jacket and held it by the back of the neck, the hood hanging down, and offered it out to Violet. "De cowl dat yer fale 'as ter du wi' me powers. People tend ter git cowl raun me, so why don't yer wear dis while we run raun?" Hopefully handing her the jacket wouldn't seem odd. Ava didn't need it, she had on a stripped tank top and the rest of her clothes were in the floor.
Grabbing the rest of her clothes from the floor with her free hand, she put her shorts on, hooked the large white belt, and hopped out of bed. All while holding the jacket still. Her scarf was laying across her free forearm and she smiled at Violet.

Violet giggled at the look the other alien made, its was very cute she thought to herself. At the really she simply nodded her head in agreeance with whatever Ava was saying most of what she could make out of the Earthling words she decided she liked so why not agree? Besides Ava just looked so excited that Violet couldn't bear to ask her what she was meaning and ruin it all. So instead she decided to go with the flow and just smile waiting to see what happened next. Though recalling one of the words she did pick up Violet was wondering if Ava might be hungry since she had said cafeteria and if Violet remembered right wasn't that a place humans ate?
Chilling at the cool she tried to keep the goosebumps from her purple skin, rubbing over her arms a little more before pulling at her fingerless black gloves. Tilting her head she wondered if Ava was cold to? She was barely dressed after all. Oops, the thought made Violet blush as she finally realized the slight awkwardness of the situation. Coughing softly she giggled again adverting her eyes as Ava moved to get up. Violet stood still moving to tuck her hands behind her back and waiting a few moments before turning her gaze back to the other when spoken to. The explanation caught her a little off guard. Ah so if she was getting this right, Ava was responsible for the cold? Violet's beady blacks widened a little in surprise at such a power it could be a very useful weapon against an alien of her own kind. For a moment Violet was nervous thanks to her own thoughts, shifting back until she saw the jacket being held out.
Huh?
Was she offering that to her? Violet's head tilted cutely in curiosity before a hesitant hand reached for the held jacket, oh such a pretty thing. Curling her fingers around the jacket she smiled and pulled it gently towards her own body. Powers. The offering and the idea of showing her own power caused her to smile a little freer, some of the previous nervousness fading. "Cowl." The cold, it was just Ava's power! Perking up Violet nodded assuming she wanted her to wear the jacket and honestly thankful for the offer the purple girl took no time in pulling the jacket over her body and zipping it up. Being as small as she was she was compared to Ava, a good two inches shorter, she was able to snuggle into the jacket happily.
Now getting a little warmer Violet smiled lazily from within the hood of the jacket towards Avalbane. "Avalbane has cowl powers, um me power is .." was this right? She had to pause her own speech before shaking her head and closing her eyes concentrating she extended the long grey ghost arms from her back, stretching them a little and letting them float freely above her to show Avalbane what her power was, "hands control?" Wasn't that what they called her powers here? Biting her lip sheepishly she started to withdraw the ghost hands back into her back so not to scare Ava just in case. Hesitantly she asked, "go run round now ?" Hopefully Avalbane still wanted to go to the cafeteria or- or well wherever with her.

Avalbane McCarthy ☎xxxxxxxxxxxAvalbane • was happy that Violet willingly accepted her jacket. She knew that the reason the girl was cold was due to her and those darn powers. She really couldn't help that her body was extremely cold and her temperature wasn't normal. She also couldn't help the fact that her body released the cold stored up in herself like most people's bodies released heat. This was going to be an odd mix of things. Having her roommate not able to handle the cold and having her not able to handle the heat. Good thing was, that they could probably easily find a solution and an appropriate temperature for the both of them to enjoy. At least that would be easy.
Avalbane thought Violet looked pretty cute in her jacket, so at least that was a good thing.
The arm thing had surprised her, just a little. It was so amazing to see different people with different powers. She was actually use to her parents and her mother's cold powers. Everyone on Ennis had powers, at least most. It was nice to see something other then cold and ice based powers. She watched with complete curiosity until Violet pulled her arms back. However, instead of actually saying anything at the time, she nodded at her last question. They could go and wonder around now. "Aye, we can go nigh. we can both learn aboyt de school together." Hopefully it would be like a simple bonding experience for both of them.
Avalbane headed to the door and opened it, looking back just to make sure Violet was following. She walked out the room and pointed to the right, at a hall that branched off from the main one passed a set of double doors. "Dat is wha de cafeteria is. But we are 'eadin' dis way." She changed the direction her finger pointed toward the left. That hallway went down farther and then turned a corner, Ava had no idea what was down that way. "Ah," Avalbane started, "Yur' powers are really deadly. Oi loike yur extra arm things." Hopefully that didn't sound too weird.

Snuggling deep into the jacket she watched with curiously beady eyes as Ava went to the door and opened it up. Excited to be going to explore the school with the other girl she was instantly at the others side and out the door. Looking off into the direction that Ava pointed she furrowed her brows at the explanation.
What was...cafeteria? Violet made a mental note to check that way out and find out at a later date.
Starting down the hall she let her hands dangle down, the jacket sleeves covered everything but her fingers as her hands swung idly while walking. Peering down the hall Violet blushed a deep green around her thistle colored cheeks. Ava liked her arms! Giggling a little, Vi turned to face her roommate, grinning, "mhm! cowl powers." That was correct right? She just wanted to say that even if Ava's powers made her really cold, that they were cool too! Trotting down the hall ahead of Ava she slowly peeks around the corner then back to Ava like a small child that was too afraid to move on without the other, "goin?" They had to go this way? It...looked a little spooky.
