It hadn't been a good few days for the dark-coated lion. Having followed the scent of water to its source, a large watering hole with a good selection of prey lingering around the edge, he had been sighted by two rogue brothers. It turned out that they had claimed the watering hole for themselves and were not about to share with anyone, even someone just passing through. The fight had been vicious, Kato not being the type of male to allow himself to just back down quietly. He supposed he got that from his mother, a cheeky lioness who had the fighting ability to back up her sassy mouth. Even single rogue males used to be careful around her, and that attitude had been passed on to her son.

Sighing, Kato stopped walking and twisted round to try and lick the still bleeding wound on his flank. He had given as good as he had got, leaving the brothers with bloody wounds from nose to tail, but two against one, when all three were evenly matched, had seen him chased away from the watering hole without a meal. Now, some time later, he really wished he had gotten at least a drink from that damn place before challenging the brothers...

"Dumb luck they had to be there." He grumbled under his breath.

"There is no such thing..."

The starry pelted lioness slowly stalked out of the brush she had been hiding in, steel blue eyes holding a soft, steady gaze on the other. She had been following him for awhile now. Interested in the fight that had come about, and then the pitiful followup post scuffle. Seemed she would be needed in assistance after all, especially when he was boasting statements like the one prior!

"There is only dumb actions and equally stupid reactions. You should think a bit more before you act. Don't you agree?"

Hesper however, did not wait for the lion to reply, and instead bowed gracefully, keeping her eyes on him. It wouldn't be good to open herself up for an attack now. However, it was always a good idea to let one know who you might be, and why you were around them. Competing the bow, Hesper straightened up and gave a soft smile. It seemed to somehow brighten her entire face, and then she spoke, softly, as she had before.

"I am Hesper, I have been following you for awhile now. I had came for water myself... However, unlike you... Was able to drink. You fight well, though you should have used your mind before your body. So. I offer to help you, possibly out of pity, possibly amusement.... or just out of friendliness. Take your pick."

The sudden voice behind him made he stop and turn round, body tensed for an attack. But when the lioness slid out from behind a near by bush, Kato frowned, head tilting slightly. He certainly hadn't been expecting to meet a female out here... certainly not one that wasn't under the bully-brothers paws.

He had to admit though... she was beautiful.

Huffing at her cold words he arched his neck, drawing himself up to his mature height. He was not overly big for an adult, but he was certainly not small either, being of good size and solid bone. After she straightened, he dipped his own head in greeting. Let it be said that he had learnt his lessons from his mother well, for she had brooked no arguments nor bad manners in her kids.

"I'm Kato." Arching a brow he snorted under his breath. "Thanks for the compliment. But what kind of help are you offering? I doubt you are looking to go back there and beat up those brothers with me." No matter how good she may be n a fight, it would still be uneven odds, for she was female. He had been taught that females were just as dangerous as males, but they were still lighter than most lions.

Regarding her intently he shifted a paw. What ever her reason for following him, she was interesting. It was the first time he had felt curiosity over another.

A slow smirk appeared on the Hesper's face as Kato straightened himself to show just how large of a lion he was. That didn't do a damned thing to her though, just gave her better idea on how to use him and his body to her advantage if the need arose. She was surprised, and very pleased that he bowed a greeting, though. Such manners were hard to come by in the lands of the rogue.

"Kato. Short, simple. I enjoy it."

She did not reply to his other remark however. Instead she slowly drifted her way closer to him, circling her way around him after eyeing ever piece of him up. He looked worse for wear than she had first caught sight of. Distance did have its disadvantages after all! Once finished with her research, Hesper stood in front of him, almost too close for comfort. Then replied;

"You are thirsty, possibly hungry... and more than likely lonely as well. Those lions, the two brothers, are gone. Chasing a pipe dream I planted into their nasty heads. Something about and oasis in the desert and twelve horny lioness waiting to be pleased."

Pausing to enjoy her dirty work, she watched her companion's face. Trying to see if possibly he would catch on to just where she had sent the two idiots. It was all good fun after all.

Thrice in as many minutes she surprised him. Complimenting his name? Not that it mattered to him if she liked it or not, though he couldn't help the tiny grin that curled across his muzzle at that fact she had liked it. Watching as she circled him he allowed the smile to grow into a wide smirk, one brow lifting as he watched her in turn until she stood so very close to him. She was a strange one, that was for sure.

Suddenly he burst out laughing, an impressed light shining in his eyes as he regarded her with new approval and interest. "The Ongozana’Ke? You didn't." With a loud guffaw he shook his head, the lazy smirk having broadened as he looked her over, impressed now. "Well, little miss know-it-all... I'm not going to disclaim any of those three." Grinning he raked his gaze over her again, food and water would be great, but she had included lonely as well... and he hoped she intended to stick about and fix that third item just as she seemed intent on helping with the first two. He certainly wouldn't mind keeping her sharp-tongued humour at his side for a bit.

Eyes twinkled as she enjoyed his laughter at her cleverness. One who could appreciate her clever mind. Hesper could most certainly get used to something like this. Even with his droopy ear he had passed her test for handsome. Just, needed to use his brain a bit more. Certainly she could teach him some of her ideals on that sort of thing.

He had been wrong with his guess though. Ongozana'Ke would have been fun, but she had a more malicious idea in her head, and after but a few minutes of picking through their heads, found they never heard of the lions of fire.

"You are right, I did not. I sent them to the land of fire. The Motoujamii-Simo lands." Blowing her bangs from her eyes, Hesper waited for Kato to express his thoughts on what she had done, but grew restless halfway through.

"Strange how they never even heard of the great warriors. Surely they will be dead by the end of the night. Serves them right." Ears perked at his nickname for her, Hesper almost growled, but let it go. She was more interested in the latter of his response. He wanted all three; very good. A way to make herself useful and leave him in debt to her and possibly a way to forget and feel pleasure for a night...

Glancing over Kato again, she decided, maybe a few nights. That'd work better. "Well then, I think we shall get along perfectly, Kato."

Her reply quieted him, expression turning from amused to puzzled as she refused his idea. But her explanation swiftly followed and for a moment he looked stunned, then simply smiled, shaking his head, respect in his eyes. "Damn girl... That is truly cruel. They were decent scrappers but they will be no match for the Firekin." And the fact that had never heard of the red coated beasts surprised Kato. His mother had warned him many a time about straying too near the red pride's desert, and had instilled a healthy wariness for the creatures in her son.

Mentally shaking old memories away he regarded the lioness before him, that lazy smirk still curled across his muzzle. "I do believe I agree with you. You are quite the fascinating female, Hesper." He purred, pale eyes slitting with pleasure at the prospect of her continued company. She fascinated him and he was curious what else was going on behind those unreadable eyes of hers. Surely she was like no other lioness he had ever met and he was intrigued.

Chuckling lightly at the swiftly changing expressions, Hesper replied;

"Exactly. If I am to send them anywhere, it is to the mouth of the deadliest beast. I would be horrified if I found out they took over the area I sent them. So, why not send them where they will be unable to do so?"

It was a rhetorical question that did not seek an answer, so the blue pelted lioness only paused for a short time. If Kato did reply to it, she was most likely only be amused by it. Smaller brains did amuse her after all. She had been one of them, before her enlightenment in the rogue lands.

Analyzing the situation she had brought upon herself, all she could feel was pleasure. This whole event was going swimmingly. After some nourishment she would try her paw at helping him clean some of those messy wounds up. Then... What ever happened would probably be in her favor. Sleeping alone always brought the demons on. But the company of another chased them away.

"But of course, one could only hope to be fascinating in front of a handsome creature, such a yourself." Eyes flashing with amusement and something hidden, Hesper twitched her nose. Her own lazy, sexy smirk curling on her maw.

"Shall we get started? Your wounds will need tended too as well. And I know just the thing to help."

Kato nodded at her words, for they made sense. Though he had to marvel at just how far forwards she had planned things, he wouldn't usually bother himself with such convoluted plans. But then he knew he was far from infallible and was not awfully worried by her superiority in the matter.

Instead he focused on that smirk, and the intelligent, amused light in her eyes. She was one of the most fascinating females he had met, on par with his mother in the possession of feminine whiles and he was intrigued by her. Her grin was answered by Kato's own, the lazy, confident smirk of a male in his prime. He was not your usual hormonal-driven rogue, but there was nothing wrong with keeping a few of his cards hidden and it never did well to advertise one's awareness in such a situation.

At her words he dipped his head politely, motioning with a paw for her to proceed him. "I highly doubt you need to worry about your image, my beautiful stranger. You are the most captivating creature to cross my path thus far. You have my whole and devoted attention, so lead on and I shall follow." He flashed her another smile, blue eyes sparkling.

Hesper grin broadened at his words, he was good at with compliments. She could get used to that. However, her mind was like a trap. And, althought the compliment was nice, she knew she always had to keep up with her image. Had she not attempted to do so, she would look rough and tumble like most roguelanders.

"Perhaps."

The words slipped out coyly as she winked at him. He could mull around with what that meant while they travelled towards her temporary home. Perhaps he would come up with additional sugared words for her ears only. She certainly would enjoy that.

Looking back at Kato, and the surrounding area. Hesper felt a sense of accomplishment. She had gained some fun company and toyed with two idiots all in one day. Stepping forward, Hesper left out one happy sigh, her feet guiding both her and Kato towards their new desitination.

Finished, unless you want to post one last time. If you would like an additional RP between them, I am completely fine with that.
