He was deep in thought his white eyes staring into the forest. His mind was flashing between the past and the present trying to make scene of it all. His memories were both happy and sad some of them filled with anger and sorrow. As he stared off into the distance he could not help but wonder what the true meaning of life was.

He could never wrap his mind around his mother and why she choose to fling from one to another. She seemed happy for the time being but when it ended..when the stallion left..he hated to think of the partings she had to suffer. He has promised himself as a foal to find happiness no matter what it took. He would never fling like this mother but become a role model a stallion who would be forever mated to a single mare. The mare that could break the walls around his heart to make him hers. His deepest wishes were to have a happy family with many foals and members.

His brothers would always be welcome of course and his mother..and whoever she was with. He needed someone to break the chains around his own heart someone to set him free..someone who could make him feel love like his brother Alex had. That was all he could ever want and wish for though he would never admit it. He was a bad boy and a rebel who could ever love him? Who would take the time to try? He longed to find the mare who he could trust his life to someone to protect till the end of time..protect and love

The dainty mare moved quietly through the forest, her hoofsteps falling softly on the ground. She moved with the inherent grace of her Mother; a natural fluidity of movement paired with elegance of form and figure that set her kin apart from the commonplace. All the Lifemated pair's children seemed to possess these traits- even her brothers, stoic and unyielding, moved with dignified agility. A gentle smile tugged her lips upwards as she thought of her family.

They were close-knit and yet gracious and helpful, never turning away any in need despite keeping to themselves for the most part. Of the 7 children, no child receiving more care or affection than the others.
Kailey had known from a young age that she was somewhat dotted upon, being the middle child (and only female) between two Knights-in-shining-armor-in-training. It was not long before another son and daughter joined them, though she knew that she had a special place in her brother's hearts. All of the children were taught their manners, though their good spirits made such things come easily... She found her brother's antics charming; she knew that they were practicing their Gentlemanly qualities and Coming-to-the-Rescue-techniques on her, and was a willing accomplice in most of their games.
It was a hard choice, to leave her family's quite meadow and travel the lands in search of new experiences, but she knew that she needed to experience new things in order to mature as an individual. She loved her family dearly, and leaving them was the hardest thing she had ever done. She could go only with the promise that she would see them again, and often planned little detours in her travels to meet up with her brothers or sister, or even pass through her childhood home (her parents still lived there) in order to maintain her enthusiasm for continuing her travels. She needed to know that they were safe, and happy, or she could not go on.

She sighed, and then excused herself with a soft murmur.

So much love, within their family. Sorrow filled her heart for those who had never experienced such amorous warmth, but she did not pity them. To do so would be to look down upon them, to pride oneself in something as uncontrollable as family dynamics, to be arrogant... such things were not in her nature. She could hope only to greet everyone with a smile, to be friendly and ensure that she, at least, would not contribute to their unhappiness.

A flash of pure white caught her gaze, and she paused. Turning towards the object with interest, her mind continued to wander.

She admired her parents. They were such strong individuals, had been through so much and finally found utter bliss in each others arms... she longed for a love like that, a love like the one her parents had found. Not brotherly love, or sisterly love, or the love a parent holds for its child... the passion that could only exist between soul-mates.
She had never known the tug on her heartstrings or the rush of adrenaline that her parents had described of their first encounter.

How could they possibly know when they met the one they would spend the rest of their life with? What if she had already met her soul-mate, and they had parted ways without knowing.. what if she chose the wrong path, moved down the wrong mountainside and always passed him by?
What if...?

What if hers was a soul that had no match?

He slowly shook his mane out after loosing himself to his thoughts for so long. He shifted to stretch his sore legs and spread his wings long and wide. He took a step forward unsure where he should go or even what to do. The days passed endlessly one after another all the same he was alone now. He could always seek out his mother but that would only leave to another parting of ways..He knew his brothers must be off living there own lives and he needed to do the same.

One hoof after another he started to walk deeper into the forest his white coat shining on the sun letting everything and anything know he was there. His tail was slowly swishing behind him as he made his way though the trees careful to watch his step as not to hurt himself or step on a harmless creature. Suddenly though something caught his eye and he slowly backed up. There seemed to be a flash of gold in the forest..gold? That was not a common color..

Slowly turning he walks up to the tree line and notices that the gold is a blanket of some type and that blanket seemed to be attached to..He stared for a moment shaking out his mane. There was a mare in the clearing who seemed to be deep in thought as he was. Just watching her gave him the shivers but the good kind he felt something stir inside of him but what it was he had no idea. He could not help himself from staring at her though the trees her delicate frame..the way she stood there deep in thought.

Who was this mare? What did he suddenly feel something deep down in his gut? Slowly he made his way out from the trees not wanting to startle her or make her run. He had no idea who or what she was like but he was drawn to her like a bee to honey. As he approached her he tucked his wings in tightly and slightly lowered his head to show he did not mean to harm her. He did glance up though and found his eyes locked in the most beautiful color he has ever seen. He tried to break the stare but he felt memorized by her..

Finally he managed to pull away turning his head down knowing that he was not polite at all. What would this mare who he just met think of him staring at her like that? An intense gaze that seemed to come from within.

Not that her soul was particularly unique, just that...

A curious flutter interrupted her thoughts. It traveled upwards from its origin in her core (her physical center, or the core of her being?) and blossomed into a charming blush that colored her pale cheeks.

Her thoughts had all fled away in a rush, leaving her with only the understanding that the pure-white object was indeed a living creature. A Soquili... a... stallion.
He seemed sturdy, solid. There was no mistake; a pure white stallion, lush black-tipped wings and an ebony mane the only mars to his snowy hue.

He approached her in an almost docile fashion, and she knew from his unobtrusive posture that he did not wish to intrude. Her not-quite-lavender eyes were warm and welcoming, a smile blossoming as she dipped her head in greeting. Her mane fell across her face, and she peered up through her bangs... for some reason she could not name, she did not wish to break eye contact with this stallion. His soul-searching gaze. Though it seemed to pierce to her very core, it did not feel invasive. She welcomed his gaze.

An image of her parents gazing lovingly at each other flickered through the periphery of her thoughts, and her blush deepened. Why would such an image come to her now?

"Pleasure to graced with your presence." she murmured, her melodic voice a sighing caress. Her words were those of etiquette, a pleasant greeting that allowed the other to beg their leave with a stilted response or a quick nod and retreat.

Oh, she hoped he did not wish to leave...

Never before had he ever felt this way around a stranger..never that he could remember. What was it that made him so transfixed on her image? Was this..was this what it felt like to fall for one on first sight? Had he just fallen for this mare who he knew nothing about? ......Was this what his mother had felt for his father? he stood there for a moment wrapping his mind around the whole idea what was happening. Did his mother love Pavi so much that even when she knew they would part..she enjoyed what time she had with him before they parted? He still would always wish she had found her forever stallion but if they felt love..deep enough love..he could understand.

His gaze drifted back to hers as he took her in once more. Her mane and her drape around her back. She was...beautiful the thoughts came rushing in and he was unable to stop them. He could not help but wonder what her first impression of him was. Did she feel the same link? Or was she already planning to turn tail ? He hoped she would stay..if she left he wold forever be searching for her the one who he only saw but never truly met.

As he started at her his thoughts were broken by words. Her voice was like music to his ears he wanted her to speak more or even sing. He felt a new rush of emotions and an unexpected smile slipped from his frowning face. His tail was slightly moving and he felt the need to spread his wings enough so they lightly touched her back.

"My name is Titan..It is wonderful to meet you..I do not know who you are but i have feelings i cannot explain"

He looks up at her again his face again in deep thought.

"Please do not leave..I wish to know you.."
PostPosted: Thu Feb 09, 2012 5:59 pm

Leave? Oh, did she have to...? she paused, tilting her head at the thought in an inquisitive manner. He had requested that she NOT leave. And... oh!

"It is a privilege to meet you, Titan." she smiled; never before had she meant those words so truly! She considered the rest of his words, finding it odd that her mind was operating in such a halting fashion. "My name is Kailey." Could she attribute this... mental mush... to those fluttering stirrings that came from deep within?

She was elated: this pure-white stallion, this Titan, with his piercing gaze and earnest speech, did not wish to depart. What's more, he wished her to stay! And he had expressed his desire to know her.

Know what? Her mind flooded with images as her soul bared itself willingly, as if wishing him to know all that was her in an instant. Of course, such things were trapped within her mind- he could not actually see all the information that came spilling forth! ... could he?

She tried to suppress the flutters enough to keep her voice somewhat steady. "What do you wish to know?" It was odd for her to pose such a direct question, but entwined in those simple words were hope, passion, dreams...

Titan. She reveled over the name. So this was what bliss was called. This was how happiness was spelled.
This encounter... Fate? Chance?

Kailey wondered if, perhaps in a different life, she would have questioned this sudden onslaught of emotion. Wasn't it strange, for two strangers to appear to act as one with mutual... feelings they couldn't explain? She knew nothing of him, apart from his name, and that something within her said that he was Right. Instinct? Attraction? Blind adoration?
She did not know... and somehow, she was not afraid. She was not suspicious. She was not unsettled, or perturbed. She was... curious. Anxious (what if she did something wrong? Oh, goodness... she would not seek to keep him against his will, such things were an atrocity, but then he had approached and stayed of his own accord...) She attempted to gain control of her mind, smiling shyly.

"Thank you."

Taking a step back he lets his gaze drift from her only for a brief moment. Her voice brought him back to the present and he inclined his head to her smiling his eyes filled with unseen emotions. His mind was racing faster than his mouth he had so many things he wanted to say but so little time to ask them. Her voice once again filled his thoughts and his mind was flashing though him and her being lifemates being the perfect couple that would never stop loving and caring for each other. He was being true to himself he felt at peace just being near her all his worries and fears sweat clean. He nodded at him for a moment his braid touching the ground as he did so..as it always did.

"Kailey..what a wonderful name for a mare.." he starts to drift off into his thoughts again seeing that she had no run. She seemed harmless one that might possibly understand him. He gazed deep into her eyes to find a spark of what she might be thinking. Any smile or blush on her face might reveal she was thinking the same thoughts he was. He was smiling again daring to walk up and brush her side standing hoof to hoof with her gazing down upon her face. Was it normal for him to feel this way about a stranger? What was bring these actions to the surface? Were the walls of his heart..were they..could they..be breaking? For someone else other than family..

"I wish to know who you are..Why i feel this way about you..What is it that draws me to you?" His tail is now still and his breathing is slowed as he taking in every moment of this sweet bliss. Would she be his forever? Could he understand her and her him? No other had ever evoked these feelings and after today..there would be only her in his dreams..in his mind..no other mare would feel equal to this perfect stranger.

It felt as if he had known her in another life as if there were something long ago. It was odd but he did feel that way..perhaps his mother could tell she could see the spirits after all he never doughted his mother even though none of his brother could see them including himself. Not accounting for his actions his eyes closed and when they opened his face was on hers side to side gazing into those deep violet eyes. He felt as if he had entered an entirely new world and even stranger he knew she would not pull away he could feel it inside of him..he could tell she was feeling what he was the pull..the pull of love

"Thank you for what..? My dear..do you feel the way i do?"Please i hope you do not find me odd..please dont leave..now or ever..We are strangers but i feel as if i could guard you forever and protect you from harm..Kail..you are and always will be my love at first sight..i never thought it possible..my mother always told me thats how she met my father..i hate to admit it..its true"

Side by side. Constant companions, perfect partners- the words rolled through her mind unbidden. It felt so right to be so near...

The dainty mare nodded, absorbing his words, accepting his touch while contemplating her current state.

She knew that it was inappropriate for a grown stallion and mare to be so close. But something that felt right couldn't be truly wrong, could it?

She had heard of voodoo, dark magics and other such legends of the two-leggeds. Tales of crafty souls deceiving others, taking the guise of a lover or a friend and wrecking havoc on the lives of the unsuspecting. Manipulation, schemes, false pretenses... Lies.

This was none of those. She knew it to be true.

Her voice was soft, "The name means rare beauty." Her father had told her that once, a teasing glint in his eyes as he shared the meaning of her name. Perhaps her parents had known something she had not when they had named her at the birthing ceremony.
Her mother said that it was for her ethereal gaze, those unique eyes that resembled her grandmother's but were a shade apart.

She returned his smile in kind, as she was sure she would reciprocate so much more throughout their lifetime.
The thought gave her pause; a shared lifetime, with a stranger? The word did not suit him... from the first glance, he was at least an acquaintance- nay, a friend. Friendship bloomed from mutual events, shared experiences... she had no history with this stallion. She had a future. But then what to call him...?
Titan. A unique word, and only for him. His name. So simple! Yet she almost wished there was something else, another word, another phrase... that suited this rare stallion.

She set thoughts of classifying her emotional detours aside, and focused on the here and now.
So open and honest...

She glanced down, then gazed at him through her eyelashes. "Thank you for.... you." The words would have sounded awkward, if they had not been spoken with such quiet grace and dignified admiration.
Some day, she knew she would know exactly what she was thanking him for. She knew that there would come a time when she knew all that there was to know of him- his past, his family, his hopes and dreams. And she knew that he would know all of this of her, as well. A sharing of tales, a melding of spirits.

You are and always will be my love at first sight.

"I know not what call of fate has brought us near. Destiny seems such an airy word for something that feels so real..." she paused, searching his eyes- the window to his soul. "Please..." she took a breath, steadying herself. "To injure yourself to keep me from harm would damage that which you seek to protect beyond repair. If what you seek is a partner in life, then live a long life to fill." She had made much the same warning to her self-sacrificing brothers.

"I do not claim to know what your Mother felt, but if this is that then I am happy..." Happy was a simple word, it did not do justice to the bliss of hearing the word love flow from this stallion's lips. She knew of love, she experienced the ups and downs of loving her mortal family, but she knew too that there was a range to this emotion as there was to all others... and now she seemed to be experiencing something beyond what she had ever felt before. "... My parents are Lifemates still." She was interested in his family, as an extension of him. She wanted him to speak, to listen to his words. She wanted to share.

"What is odd is that we have not met before..." True, she had spent most of her young life with her family, and had only recently begun her travels. But wouldn't two beings who seemed so perfect together be drawn together by forces beyond their reckoning long before now...? Or had their personalities not matured enough to allow their lives to intertwine? Did time apart make time together that much sweeter?

Silver laurels shimmering upon her fragile neck, she lowered her head and touched her nose to his. An offer of shared breath....

Forever, love.

Never again would he feel this way never again..This was a rare chance for him to show who he really was..not a rebel but one who would stand and fight if it meant protecting those he loved. He felt that way about this mare like he would do anything if it meant that she was happy and safe. Was she a friend..? It felt like more than friendship like she was taking his heart without asking..but he loved every moment of it. If she asked he would give her his heat if it meant staying by her side forever as a lover and friend.

Slightly inclineing his head he spoke her name softly letting the words flow out of his mouth. She was more than beautiful..she was..divine she had not run but she seemed to be closer to him not farther.

"Rare beauty..?' he spoke his voice as soft like the wind "You are the most beautiful mare i have ever see..you are rare..but i like that"

A smile forms on his face and he lets out a gentle laugh playing out on the wind. His eyes are filled with the glint of playfulness as he is still smiling. He could see himself being b her side till the end of time. He hoped he could..love her fulfill her deepest wishes and desires. He wanted to be the one who would be there for her till his life ended..he would never stop loving her.

"May i make you a promise..? I will never leave you..If you were to fly away from me..i would always..never stop seeking you..I loved you before i ever met you.."

He shakes out his mane slowly spreading his wings to there full length letting them rest on her back his face to the side of hers. Side by side two lovers..strangers who let fate lead them.

"I never believed in fate..but what else could of brought us here? My mother was always right.." he gazes at her for a moment "I also would like to thank the world for you my dear"

he extends one leg out to gently prod her own hooves. "I seek you and only you as my forever mare..please dont ever leave me and i wont ever leave you..I wont ever damage you..I wish to live side by side in love for the rest of our lives..I barely know you but the fact that i love you"

They would never part till death..even then he knew they would still always be lovers

"Your parents have raised you well..If they are lifemates..can we do the same?"
PostPosted: Sat Feb 11, 2012 11:56 pm

The sound of his laugh lifted her spirits. She felt the need to laugh with him, and their voices mingled in harmonious splendor.

"May I make you a promise?" Her eyes sparkled merrily as she leaned towards him "I will never seek to leave your presence, nor will I willingly depart."

As so many things this day, she knew this to be true.

When she had left her parents' meadow to seek growth, to mature, to experience the world... she had not expected to find one such as he. Though she had often dreamed of finding a love like the one her parents shared, to attain such rapture in a single moment was beyond her wildest imaginings...
And she found that, living these moments, it was hard to believe- despite her steadfast knowing that this was real. That this is real. That it would be her reality forever more.

Nestled in his embrace, the gentle touch of his feathers upon her back a welcome caress, she savored these first few moments of their life together. "We have a lifetime to learn all the little details about each other... all that we need know now is that we are together. That we will be together... forever."

"Nukido... Lifemate. I am forever yours."

He felt as if he could just leap into the air and soar for miles. Something had been freed from the inner depths of his heart he had found that mare he had been searching for without ever knowing it. His heart has brought his deepest dream to light and fulfilled them. He embraced her letting his wings infold her to his side enjoying the feeling of being close to someone he could always call his own.

"May i ask you your life..? Do you have a big family? I have two brothers..My father has now left my mother but he does visit once every few months..i suppose he is busy starting a new life"

He felt the need to know everything about her now that they would be always together. He needed to know what she went though in her life growing up..what she was going through now.

"A lifetime..that sounds better than i ever thought it would..We will never stop learning things about each other..Each day will be a new adventure"

He smiles at her withdrawing his wings and moving away some so she could follow him. He felt the need to show he the places he had always known. It would feel different showing them to someone new but she had to know. He would take her to his mother and then one by one his two brothers. If lucky she might even meet his father who was off on his own now.

"I will never let you go and i will always protect you. You are my life and my future and i don't intended to change that..I believe in this love if you were able to break the walls of my heart just with your eyes..Whatever you need you will have it"

He nods at her shaking out his long braided mane his white eyes in a playful expression. He slowly creeps up to her and touched his nose to his and then he runs off into the forest showing that he to can be fun and loving at the same time.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 12, 2012 6:10 pm

Her heart fell for a moment before she realized that his antics had been an invitation to play- come, follow me- not a means of escape. She set off after him at a canter, her spirits high and joyous. She was as graceful in the powerful movement as she was walking serenely through the forest.

She would follow him anywhere.

"I have a large family. My parents have 5 children, now grown- 3 stallions, 2 mares (my sister and myself.) We are very close." Her smile was a pure expression of love. "However... we have not met our grandmother, nor any of our extended kin." Her father had chosen to live a quiet life with his Lifemate and children, raising his foals away from the family drama (he had not spoken to his own mother in quite some time...) and less-than-pleasant individuals who were blood-kin but not beloved family.

She felt sorrow for his mother, and hoped that the parting of Nukido's parents had been one of mutual consent. "I would love to meet those who are responsible for your presence in this world." A quick flash of panic momentarily unsettled her blissful demeanor. What if they didn't like her? What if she did something wrong? What if...
She calmed herself by glancing over at her soul's match.

"As I am yours, you are mine." She spoke the last word as a caress, the syllables rolling off her tongue in a sigh.

She thought then of her own family, welcoming Nukido. Her father, polite and courteous. Her mother, warm and inviting. Her brothers, trusting her judge of character and yet still weary of the new individual who sought to court their precious sister. And her sister... bright and vivacious.
The image of them surrounding her heart's companion was enough to make her overflow with joy.

It seemed that she could not help but smile when he was around. What a life of joy and laughter they were in for! Tender moments and heartfelt confessions, sharing of knowledge and wisdom and friends and family.

"Whatever I need?" Simple things, enough to sustain her life. But now... she felt as if she could not exist without something more.
"I need you." Nearby, safe, utterly blissful. If you are hurt, angry, upset- I will help you to mend. Let me be there for you, as you will be for me... Always.

He was waiting for her to catch up hoping the moment would never end. Such feelings he longed to have he finally felt. He was listing to her words with deep interest thinking of how it would be to grow up in a family even larger than his.

"That is large..I thought i had many brothers but you have beat me with your own siblings" He laughs and then smiles "It is good to grow close to your family..Someone you can always count on and trust..That is how it should be" he nods at her now "You should meet her someday..who knows what you might learn"

He smiles back at her again thinking of his family even though he knew all of them..at least he had not heard of any others in the family. He was proud that her parents were life mated and that she had a huge family that took good care of her. He would have to thank them all for that someday.

"You can always meet my mother..She will be overjoyed to see that i have found my mare..Perhaps my father to if he happens to visit.."

He knew they would accpectt her if he was happy they were. As if reading her mind he softly spoke

"They will love to meet you..My Mother will be happy i have found someone who i can love forever..We are each others forever"

He walks up to her and once more puts his face to hers enjoying the moment.

"Whatever you need you will have..Whatever you want i will make sure you have it..Is there anything you want at this moment?" he pauses for a moment

"I need you to..more than you could ever know"
PostPosted: Mon Feb 13, 2012 7:21 pm

She laughed gently. Things were not a competition between them; she did not wish to "beat" him, figuratively or literally.

"Family bonds are some of the strongest that exist, if properly tended, for they are infused with love." The sage words of wisdom were more common-sense than philosophical blathering, but she felt the need to say them all the same.

She nuzzled him thankfully, amazed at how easily he seemed to read her moods and offer her comfort. "I look forward to meeting her, and any others whom you believe I should be acquainted with. My own family shall embrace you in much the same fashion... my brothers, though protective, could not help but notice our love. They would not argue against such a bond."

She considered his inquiry for a few moments, gazing peacefully upon him. "No, thank you... I am content." If this day never ended, she would be content for eternity.

"And yourself? Do desire sustenance, refreshment? Have you need of rest?" Infused with good spirits as she was, she was not fatigued at all, and she imagined he felt much the same- but it was concern for his health and happiness, not merely a polite turn of phrase, that spurned her to ask after his needs and wants.

Whatever he needed, she wished to assist him in gathering. Whatever he wanted, she wished to provide... or find one more qualified, who would produce a higher-quality product to better suit his tastes.
Were all feelings reciprocal between them, or did some belong solely to one or the other? It was as if the sharing of their spirits and the merging of their fates had resulted in an emotional union, as well.

He nodded at her words how true they were. He was very close with his family and he loved them dearly if they ever needed help he would always be there for him.

"You speak the truth..Bonds in family can never be broken..You must always learn to forgive if they do something wrong..because you can never change who you are related to"

He thinks of his brothers if they did something wrong he would always forgive him. If he turned his back on his family who would be there for them? He was bback in the present when he felt her touch, He spread out his wings wishing she could fly with him.

"If only you had wings my dear..we could soar the skies forever in victory"

He smiles at her "She may seem distant but she does care about all of us..I also hope to meet your family..no matter what they think i will never leave you"

He looks to the sky seeing the sun nearing its end. Had they been taking for that long? It felt like minutes not hours he did not want to leave her..Perhaps they could spend the night learning about one another as life mates should.

"Well..if you ever need something just ask.." he shakes his head " I do not require anything more than you..Perhaps we can spend the night learning about each other? The sun is nearing its end.."

He looks to the distance happy in his own thoughts. Fate was an amazing thing..or perhaps his mother helped him..was a spirit he could not see helping him? Did it lead him to her? He would never know..
