He has light brown skin with short white hair and dark drown eyes. TAB TABW a r d r o b e ↴ TAB↪ some times fashion is important Masato wears a custom-made brown, black and white flack jacket with a high collar that blocks his mouth. Underneath he wears a brown t-shirt and a necklace given to him by his mother. He wears a pair of black and white gloves that also act as arm guards that reach to just below his elbow. The hands of his gloves are black withe the arms being white with several black lines running around the glove. He wears brown cargo pants with his black weapons pouch tied around his right thigh. Wears standard black ninja shoes and has weighted shin guards.

The wakizashi that is the counterpart of his mother's katana, given to him by his father the day after his graduation from the academy. He keeps it strapped horizontally across his lower back, handle facing his right side.

Masato was brought up in a family where both his parents were ninja. He had always wanted to be like them, his dream to become the best ninja in the world, or maybe one day start his own village and spread the influence of the ninja further. His mind remained made up even after his mother was mortally wounded on a mission days before his acceptance into the ninja academy. She had given him her family necklace, saying that it had always brought luck to the bloodline male that wore it, she also told him never to give up on his dreams or settle for less.
Even with his mother's death, Masato continued through the academy, passing with flying colors. While quiet yet friendly, Masato never made many friends but had a few people he could talk to and hang out with from time to time. His determined stance and focus on everything he did was a reflection of his mother's last words. Though most knew of his mother's death, they never understood why he could remain so cheerful. Little did they know he had merely compartmentalized his sorrow, showing his true emotions only when he was alone. Growing up with his father alone was hard though, he was out most of the time on missions, so Masato had to take care of himself, not feeling any negative feelings towards his father.
On the day of his graduation ceremony, Masato's father couldn't make it but had left a note early that morning congratulating him on his efforts. Needless to say Masato kept a proud smile as he received his headband and has since kept it attached to a special spot on his flack jacket, right on the chest area. The day after his graduation, his father gave him the wakizashi that was part of his mother's weapon set but refused to give up her katana out of respect. Masato understood and did not complain, feeling honored that he could wield the one of the weapons his mother did.
