I watch it. You watch it. Unless you don't. But then why did you click the topic? Do you also have a need to click on any new topics that pop up just so they're not new anymore? I do. xd So what I'd like is to watch some anime, and I'd like you to suggest some for me to look into. I prefer my anime how prefer my processed meats, filler free. Waiting for one episode a week drives me up the wall, so I'm also looking for complete seasons, nothing ongoing, though in the past exceptions have been made. I prefer dubbed just for the convenience of not having to read constantly, but subbed is fine if it piques my interest enough. ninja So if you're bored suggest some anime, or just discuss some anime, I'm up for most things, and everyone else is free to jump into any discussions or recommendations. Just don't troll, one persons favorite might be another persons dislike, and that's fine, if everyone was the same we'd be no better than sheep... With their unnecessarily fluffy coats, emotionless square eyes, and that bit of grass they always seem to be chewing. I suddenly think I don't care for sheep. neutral Here's a completely random selection of anime I've enjoyed: Gurren Lagann, Trigun, Tower of Druaga, Code Geass, Ga-Rei Zero, Fate/Stay Night, S-Cry-ed, Darker Than Black, Gundam 00, Higurashi Eden of the East, Heroic Age, Full Metal Alchemist, Soul Eater, Tales of the Abyss, .Hack//Sign, Ghost in the Shell, Kara no Kyoukai This is by no means all the anime I've seen, just a few from the top of my head. I just wanted people to have a general cross-section so they know what kind of things I enjoy. Also, before you ask, YES I like Bleach and Naruto, but I've pretty much stuck to the manga for those two because the mass filler makes me rage. I don't really read other manga, but I'm not above trying one either if you suggest one. I guess that's all I have to say for now, I hope people respond. xp I seem to have an unhealthy urge to end everything I say with an emote. gonk Suggested so far!Durarara Umineko no Naku Koro ni Shiki Ghost Hunt Akira Kite Ergo ProxyPlanetes 008th MS Team School Rumble Baccano Highschool of the Dead Vampire Knight Noein Escaflowne Movie Blue ExorcistClanned Hetalia Gantz Tiger & BunnyAlso check out my anime list for more info, It's dated, but I'll see about updating it soon. razz

I think you would enjoy both Shiki and Ghost Hunt, as well as Umineko no Naku Koro ni, if you have not already watched it because of Higurashi no Naku Koko ni. Umineko and Shiki have yet to be dubbed (Eww..dubb...) Ghost Hunt already has. Shiki and Ghost Hunt are based off novels by the same author, Fuyumi Ono, she also wrote the still publishing novels and finished anime Junni Kokki/Kokuki-The Twelve Kingdoms.
Shiki is similar to Higurashi in the aspect of a town and a mysterious disease, in this case though there's vampires, and there's this sort of slow, working towards something feeling. From the three I mentioned, this is my first pick for a recommendation.
Ghost Hunt has comedy, slight romance, horror, since it deals with ghosts, although I didn't find it particularly scary. I enjoyed it because it has a bit of everything really.
Umineko is from the same creator of the Higurashi visual novels, it deals with repetition of deaths due to witches, I will say no more since it could spoil the story for you.

I had already heard of and have been considering Shiki and Ghost hunt. Now that they've been endorsed I should give em a shot. Umineko I had not heard of, with a quick look it seems interesting. They're all going into my to be watched list, good suggestions. 3nodding I understand why people dislike dubs, but they really are more convenient for me. I know some things just translate over poorly though, I was extremely disappointed with the Gurren Lagann dub for example, I can't stand to watch it unless it's in Japanese. I feel like they do a decent enough job on a lot of them. sweatdrop Should I put suggestions I like up in my first post? Might be better than notepad, then people would be able to see what's already been suggested easily, and I could cross them off as I complete them. I think I just convinced myself. confused

Oh! And if you've watched various animes, I suggest making an account on this website, this is MY anime list, there's various features though, there's reviews, date or airing and when it ended airing or if it's already done airing, character listing, their voice actors and actresses, tittle of opening theme and ending, small summary, and if you click on the characters, it shows a short bio of them, as well as which animes or mangas they are part of. Those are just a few things I'm listing. Overall, it keeps track of your mangas and animes, which episode you're on, which you plan to watch and which you dropped, same for mangas. 3nodding ultimate anime information website in my opinion. myanimelist.net/profile/HazukiSama

I haven't been keeping up though, I find it harder and harder to find animes that suit my taste, since most are harem.. gonk

I've seen all the miyazaki movies so that covers mononoke. I've also watched all of wolfs rain and samurai champloo. I think I watched three different animes about Tenchi, each one seemed to be an alternate timeline or something, it was hard to keep track of and they all kind of blur together for me when I try to think back on it. crying Aside from Gankutsuo and Planets, Ive heard of all the rest, and have been interested, so I'll throw em up. xd Also I worked hard on my list. How dare you not read it. scream

How dare you not read it. scream 008th was kind of like Gundam meets Vietnam War. There technically weren't any Gundams in it at all, it was a little more about the common soldier. Really great ending too. Gankutsuo is basically a scifi version of The Count of Monte Cristo. Very cool, but it's more of a drama than anything. The art is really interesting in it, as well. Yeah, there were three main Tenchi shows, each set in different universes. I really liked the first two, but the third really kind of let me down. Planetes is a really interesting show about a crew of astronauts in the not-too-far future whose job is to clean up space debris in Earth's orbit. Basically all the clutter we've thrown up there starts to interfere with space development. Strictly a drama, but I watched a lot of it in a kind of marathon, and really liked it. Ergo Proxy is really cool. If you watch the first episode and don't love it, well... That'd be really lame. sad It's scifi with a really dark vibe to it throughout the show, and the art and action is really well done. Sort of peters out in the middle a little bit, but ends well. I'm still recommending Durarara, even though it might not be your thing. It's got a big cast of characters, which I like, and aside from being a little bit of a mishmash of stereotypes, it's a pretty fun show. I enjoyed it thoroughly, even if the end was cut a little short and felt like the show should have kept going for a while.

I always did mean to watch ergo proxy, things just always seemed to distract from it, or get in the way, it really sounds like just my cup of tea though. I've been hearing a lot about Durarara, and the plot doesn't seem bad at all, I'll definitely give it a shot. I thought Gankutsuo was familiar, I think I watched about half of it once, before losing track, probably due to Guild Wars. Everything else sounds good too, except Tenchi, Not sure I can bring myself to watch it all again, I seem to remember it being extremely long.
