This handbook is designed to help people who are new to RPing get a basic idea of what we want when you RP with us. Don't worry, if something is wrong we will let you know and help you fix it.

What’s Role Playing?
Role Playing refers to the creation of and assuming the identity, at least fictionally, of an original character to play a certain role, hence the name. A role playing game is where a group takes on the role of their characters and act as they would under the situation presented to them. Based on the rules of the game and the actions that the characters take, the role playing game will eventually shape the ending. There are many different types of role playing out there, and it's Important to understand that just because you don’t like one kind of RP doesn't mean you won't find one you like.

The Levels of RP:
There are three levels of role playing: literate, semi-literate, illiterate. The illiterate role player uses text speak, doesn't care about grammar, and usually has poor spelling skills.
Example:
i gonna kill u
*shotz & killz w/ gun*
However, a longer post can be illiterate, too, if the RPer continues to use text speak and poor grammar. Run-on sentences are usually a sign of this.
Example:
joe walked through the woods he wanted to kill the man who killed his family "u killed my family u will die" he took out his guns and aimed them at the man and shot him two hundred times he then jumped into the air and sliced the man's head open like a melon
Notice how, yes, you have more of an idea what it happening, the sentences are all jumbled together and you can barely tell where one sentence ends and another begins.
Semi-literate role players may miss-spell or make a grammatical mistake, but in general are good at role playing.
Example:
Blake looked around the house searching for the keys. He had to get moving. His phone rang and he picked it up, answering as he finally located the keys on the coffee table.
"Hello...?"
While it gives an excellent idea of what's happening, along with adequate grammar, many feel like a post this short isn't worth it. An active imagination is a key part in roleplaying, especially when posts are required to be longer.
Finally, the literate will usually post one or more paragraphs and very little grammatical or spelling errors, and experienced ones actually have their own style, recognizable by friends and foes alike.
Example:
Aingel pushed through the woods, cradling the assault rifle in his hands. He had been on the trail of this man for days on end, and he wasn't giving up yet. His eyes scanned around him, waiting for an attack from any side at any point. Under him, the leaves barely made a sound as he padded over them, his dark uniform making him look more like a shadow, or some sort of liquid black mass flowing through the foliage.
His mind went back to how he got this job. Money had been tight, and his team was having trouble making ends meet. Then, this contract showed up. It seemed easy enough. The only requirement was that they kill this man. Well, it wasn't, and Aingel's team paid the price. Now Aingel was the only one left, and he would make this man pay.
Finally, Aingel spotted him. The man had stopped running, and was leaning against a tree, catching his breath. Without a sound, Aingel raised his rifle to his shoulder and sighted the man through the scope, aiming just below the man's heart. At this angle, the bullet would tear through both lungs, leaving him gasping in a slow, painful death. And Aingel would enjoy every second of it.
"Payback's a b***h, buddy."
With that, Aingel pulled the trigger, ending his three day long quest of vengeance.
As you can see, literate is the longest and most refined of the three, and that's what we shoot for. But what else are we looking for, not in the post, but in the poster?

What We Are Looking For:
If you are semi-literate: We want your skills to continue to improve your literacy and excel, and hopefully you will make your way to literate. If you are Literate: We want to see you continue to contribute to the RP community and provide excellent Tier 1 content to further serve as a good example for ones less experienced than you.

An Example of an Acceptable Tier 1 Post: "It should only take me about a half an hour at top speed. Space isn't an issue, but this girl burns fuel like my SUV, and refueling on the ground is a pain. I'll call in a tanker on the way back so I can do a midair-"
The alarm came without warning. At about the same time, a shoulder-launched missile streaked up from the treeline, and homed in on the Stallion, which was too slow and heavy to react. The missile slammed into the tail rotor and the effect was instantaneous. The Stallion began twisting out of control, its tail a mangled wreck as Aingel fought the controls.
"I'M HIT! I'M HIT! Mayday, mayday, This is White Dove Three Two going down hot! Repeat, White Dove Three Two was lost tail rotor and is going down!"
Aingel tried to keep the spiraling chopper under control, pushing the stick forward and using the airflow over what remained of the tail surfaces to stop the spinning. He relaxed slightly, and turned to tell Osheen to secure the minigun and rescue rope so they could get back to base for an emergency landing, but then another missile hit, this time slamming into the Stallion just behind the main rotor, shredding the gearbox. With the sudden loss of power, the Stallion plunged like a stone, slamming into the foliage below and skidding for several hundred feet before coming to rest in a clearing...

Formatting posts is actually quite easy:
Size it (Size 9 please)
Center it. (Center the text)
Color it. (Chose your color)
Bold your dialogue.
Use Italics for thoughts.
An RPC picture is encouraged, but not required.

Our Rules of RP:
Some ground rules...
Be realistic: Don't be overly dramatic, and don't make your character a one man army.
Use proper punctuation.
Grammar and spelling do matter.
Follow ToS: No RP Creator wants their RP closed because YOU decided to make a sex scene. Take it to the PMs if you really want to finish it.
Make sure your RP profile is approved before participating in any roleplays in this guild.
No Godmodding. Godmodding is "playing God," whether it be controlling another character that doesn't belong to you, changing the setting, refusing to die, etc. Godmodding is not tolerated and will result in you getting kicked from the RP, or even the guild, unless you can provide a proper explanation for your actions.
And finally, have FUN.
