Aglaope's eye moved from left to right of the cave where she had made a new home for herself with Swimpdeep just weeks before. Upon their fateful meeting he invited the wayward mare back to his cave and lake to live with him so she would no longer have to be lonely. She had of course been surprised by this kind gesture but accepted in none the less. At first she had no ill intent in accepting his offer but after a day or two formulated a plan to use the male to bring others back to the cave. However, she hadn't planned on her heart growing attached to him. It was slight, but there none the less. Somehow he had managed to cause a breech in her outwardly hateful wall, letting a bit of the inner light shine through.
Now as she moved a piece of coral to the side of the cave for decoration she found herself wondering how he had managed to cause such a change in her. Had he noticed it? Did he feel the same? Aglaope sighed. Twitter patted. Just as her sisters had become. Though, she was nowhere near their level. Only time would tell if she would be just like them.

Swimdeep had been out all morning chasing fish around the lake. He figured his new friend would prefer a fresh catch to seaweed for breakfast and, having managed to get a hold of a sizable trout, was on his way back to the cave he shared with Aglaope.
Entering the cave, he noticed a few bits of coral around the cave. He'd never thought of decorating his living space before. Perhaps it was something only mares thought of and if it made her happy, who was he to discourage it? He swam closer to her, moving his head around to signal her with the trout.

Aglaope had just placed the final piece of coral when she noticed Swimdeep had returned with some fish for them to eat. A smile crept across her side of her mouth that still had flesh. "Delicious." The mare said as she swam over to him, slightly amused with how he looked with the trout sticking out of his mouth. Something within her had definitely changed and the longer she let it the more right it felt, despite having always been against falling in love let alone starting a family. However, looking at him her heart pounded in her chest. It was still a small feeling but it was enough for her to notice her changes. "I'll help." Aglaope finally said, taking the trout from him.

"Fank ooo," Swimdeep muffled out around the fish as he let her have it. "I've already eaten one before bringing that to you." He glanced around their underwater grotto. "This looks nice. Have you been decorating the whole time?" He nosed at a bit of coral. "It's like a garden. I love it."

"Ou deh?" She replied before eating the fish. The mare nodded as she finished off the last bits of the fish, realizing now that she hadn't eaten at all until now. Swim seemed to have a good way of timing things. "Yes. I thought it would make it a little more cozy." Aglaope replied as she admired her handiwork, not realizing that she hadn't actually asked him if he wanted her to decorate. "I'm glad you like it." She grinned before swimming around him for a moment. "I wasn't sure if I should add anything else." Aglaope added, coming to a halt at his side. Her clear eye focused on him as she wondered what kind of things he might like.

"i think it looks fine as it is. Very cozy," Swimdeep replied, still looking at everything. "Before it was a place I was just living, now it feels like our home." He nuzzled the mare, not minding that some of her lacked flesh. She was beautiful in his eyes. "Aglaope, since you did all this, I take it that you plan to stay here?"

Aglaope was pleased with herself and her handiwork when he said it felt cozy and even more so when he said it felt like home. Our home. Something about that made her heart beat fast in her chest, her stomach filling with butterflies. It was weird what love was doing to her. However, whenever he was around it felt right. His nuzzle was a bit of a surprise but welcomed with a nuzzle of her own. He was the first male she hadn't lured to his death or who had run away in fear of her appearance. "If you allow me to." Aglaope smiled lightly.

"For as long as you like," the stallion chuckled, tucking his tail around her. "Which I hope might be forever." He felt it, too, the connection with the mare. He had not put much thought into it, but looking at how she had decorated their home, the way he felt when near her. Yes. He was in love. "I don't really have much to offer a mate, but whatever i have is yours, Aglaope."

"Then maybe I'll just have to take you up on that offer." Aglaope replied, only realizing what he meant afterwards. "What?" The mare blinked a couple times in confusion as she floated there, his tail wrapped around her and her heart exploding in her chest. Had she heard him right? The mare shook her head in an attempt to clear it before a huge smile came across her lips. "I don't need anything else." She said before nuzzling him. "You're enough. More then enough my sweet Swimdeep." Aglaope replied as she lovingly nuzzled him once more.

Swimdeep smiled, moving to gaze lovingly into her good eye. "Then it's settled, yeah? You'll stay with me?" It was all he could do not to swim a marathon around the ocean... or spontaneously combust.

Aglaope couldn't help but not a bit when she answered. "Yes. I'll stay with you forever." She laughed a little before she wrapped her tail around him as well. Aglaope thought that this was a dream, it felt to amazing. Like if at any moment she was going to wake up on the rocks of her former home, in the one she had shared with her sisters. Thankfully, it was real.
