Now, this will change over time to fit our members more. I do not want our combat system to be a complected thing where everyone has to remember their skill level on a certain thing and pair it with how many dice they get to roll. I want to make it easy to use.

Everyone will get one number. Yeap, one. This number will be your highest "skill" number. In combat, only when not against npc, you will start a post of "meeting" or sizing up your opponent and that is where the skill number will start to come into play. In your first post, there should be no action taking place, but you will start a "post action" of drawing a random number.

In your next post, lets say you make an attack. You'll need to draw another random number with the same post as the attack. That number will determine your attack's power.

If you are posting in a mission, you should roll every post just in case. In the village OOC talk should initiate a need to roll. You and I didn't need OOC talk because we knew Togeko was going to attack him for the post you were about to make.

Here is what everyone starts out with for your skill:

Gennin- 1-20
Chuunin- 5-80
Jounin- 10-150
Sannin- 15-300

Skills can be grown by doing missions and training.

Let me break it down in a visual post system.

This will be poster #1. And he is sizing up his opponent on his first post, making observations, deciding to fight, or wandering into a trap.

Notice that his highest skill level is 10 so he draws a number between 1-10. He got a 6 so whatever comes his way, he can block up to 6 points of it.

For the sake of being even, we'll give #2 10 skill points as well.

#2 attacks... let say he throws a rock at #1.

He too draws a number. This number acts as two different things. First it is the power of his attack and second it is his blocking ability for the counter attack or any other attack #1 does in his next post.

Since #2 got a 4 and #1 had got a 6 before it, #1 can block #2's attack completely.

Let say he swats the rock aside as if it were a fly.

Since #2's block for this post's attack is only going to be a 4, #1 will decide to try something stronger.

#1 decides to strike at #2 with a kunai.

Again, #1 will draw a number again.

Ah ha! #1 rolled a 4 and #2's block was 4. That means they tied right? Wrong.

The number 4 means #2 can completely block anything 4 or less. So #2 gets off Scott free.
