Sylvia was On The Prowl.

She was hungry, and tired, but most importantly - she was TIRED of being HUNGRY. Supposedly, she had duties. Allegedly, there were senshi on their side, somewhere out there. But she couldn't remember names - her entire life in the city up unto the point of her corruption (no, she corrected herself mentally, her awakening) was really kind fo a blur. It was annoying. And she knew the perfect way to work out her anger issues.

Except there was nothing her size to fight. For once, the streets of Destiny City were unusually quiet. Sylvia felt faintly alienated on her own turf, a fact that worsened her mood, and so she strode down the sidewalk, yowling angrily at houses, storefronts, fire hydrants - whatever. She was probably saying some very foul things mentally, but was careful to keep her tirade in a range that the average Earth cat could manage.

Which was, again, infuriating.

Sylvia was so caught up in her own raging thoughts that she almost didn't notice the energy signal emitting faintly in the distance. It was strange, yet so familiar... Her ears perked up, her foul mood temporarily forgotten. Hmmm, what could this be? She broke out into a run, meowing plaintively. Perhaps she could catch their attention.

After the ordeal with Acubens, Lesath had moped for a good day or two, then was back out on the streets, draining energy from every civilian she met. To say she was angry was just a bit of an understatement…but, she wanted to do something to get rid of the stress that just kept building up and building up.

She was stalking another one of those drunken fools, hand curled around her mirror shard when she heard it.

A meow that was very long and sounded rather lonely. The dark mirror senshi sighed then ducked away, going towards the sound…and the slight feeling of energy. Well. Now that was interesting. Perhaps it was Dahlia back again…but…surely she wasn’t ready to go to the next level of power, no...

As she got closer, she squinted, looking around for the feline making such a noise. “Kitty. It’s okay. I’m here. You don’t have to sound so grumpy anymore. Come on, we can talk.”

Because, any cat that had an energy signature had to be one that could talk. It was just common logic.

"Meow. Er. Meow me- oh, ******** it."

Sylvia sauntered out from behind a pile of rubble, eyeing the senshi disdainfully. So, this was one of theirs? It felt...strange. Not quite corrupted, but...something different, maybe. She filed it away for later, settling down on her haunches and licking a paw daintily. Grumpy, eh? Grumpy. She huffed mentally. She'd show HER grumpy.

"I don't recognize you."

Nevermind that she didn't know anyone around here; no need to let her in on that.

"This is my street."

She glanced around slyly- nope, she had no idea where they were. Whatever. She fluffed up and then resettled her fur, determined to look every inch the feline queen she was in her own mind.

Lesath grinned, looking down at the black and white cat with an appraising eye. Well, her coat was lovely, the colors were stunning, and she seemed very clean, but…no, she lost points for the half missing ear, cats who rough housed were never as pretty as the ones who really prided themselves in their looks, like Dahlia did.

“Is it your street? And, I don’t recognize you either, cat. I didn’t realize you could own your own street. That’s quite impressive for something of your…size.”

So she was being a little snarky, but the cat seemed to be snarky as well, so perhaps the two were a good match, in the long run at least. Either they were a good match, or this was going to end in a cat fight of epic proportions.

And nobody wanted to get into a cat fight with what looked like a very seasoned alley cat. Lesath didn’t want to lose half of her ear, after all.

Sylvia squinted at her, a narrow band of vibrant green with wildly dilating pupils.

"Yes. My street. I was here first."

A snort. She glared at the girl reproachfully. "Just because I'm not, well, a big silly blundering thing," paw wave in her direction, "doesn't mean you can talk to me that way hiss hiss." The last bit ended in an actual hiss, but the cat seemed to let it go at that, licking a paw irritably and smoothing the fur atop her head.

"Now, can I help you? Do you normally stand in the middle of the street talking to cats? You could at least feed me, might make you look less crazy." Her rumbling stomach somewhat ruined her snide tone, and a look of extreme discomfort crossed her otherwise grumpy features. Kitty needed food badly, and it was just feeding into her unruly temper.

Lesath sighed. “Well, I’m here now too. I don’t see you doing much on your…ah. Street.” She reached down and offered a hand to Sylvia, wanting to at least make some amends with the corrupted feline.

“You want some food? I can get you some, if you’d like. I’m not such a bad person, you know. I’m really not.” She hesitated, then scratched behind the cat’s good ear. “My name’s Lesath. Dark Mirror Senshi of Moths. What’s your name, hm? We’re both on the same side. We shouldn’t be arguing. We really shouldn’t. There’s no point in it.”

It wouldn’t do her any good to get a corrupted cat on her bad side, they were important, Dahlia had showed her that much, and it was about time she met a new one, so…don’t mess it up.

“What is it that you want to eat? And do you want me to buy it, or should I try and cook it?”

"I, well, er." A hand came into her view. Oh, hands, they were wonderful, they - and before she could stop herself, she'd rubbed her head against it, arching her back and even purring a little.

"Ahhh, well, I guess you can have this street too," she amended. Plenty of room, and it wasn't like she knew where they were. "You can call me Sylvia. I don't, uh. I haven't been in the area for very long, you see." She paused, wondering how much she could admit to this senshi. At the mention of food, she perked up considerably, tail standing straight instead of lashing about irritably.

"Oh, I'd eat just about any- well. Anything rare." The last thing she'd had was pidgeon, and it had been awful and stringy. Humans, however, had access to supermarkets; which had rows and rows of lovely red meat. It was too bad the local one had installed doors that were more cat-proof.

Ah. Now she had little miss kitty…little miss Sylvia, right where she wanted her, in a purring mass of adorable kitty flesh. Lesath glanced around making sure there were no prying eyes around, then let her senshi form drop, with Raven Moore standing in her place. “Okay. Do you want me to go get you some food then? I don’t mind at all. I have some money on me. I can get you…I don’t know. Do cats like chicken? Steak? Tuna?”

She leaned down, scooping Sylvia up, still scratching behind her ears. “You’ll have to wait outside of the store for me though, sadly, I can’t pretend you’re like…a stuffed cat scarf or anything. Though, that might be kind of funny.”

Sometimes, Raven figured she liked cats a lot more than dogs—even if her dog was one of the cutest little monsters in the world. Cats were just so…sophisticated, and regal. Plus, they purred, the purring was wonderful.

"Tuuuuuna," she purred, barely noticing as the senshi turned normal. She was lost in elation.

Tuna. A magic word. She might be able to snag chicken, or even rarely, beef, on her own, but tuna came in cans, and a can opener was a cat's arch nemesis. Slyv sighed happily. This day was really turning around. She didn't even protest at being picked up - the blissful scritches continued, after all, so what did it matter?

"Of course, outside, yes," she replied almost distractedly, licking her chops already at the though of tender fishy morsels.

Raven laughed and began walking through the store. “Okay, I think we have a winner. Now, next big question. Will you be wanting the boring canned tuna, or do you want like, the fresh tuna…like, the sushi tuna that you grill and all that jazz. I don’t mind spending a little extra on that if you want. Then you can come back to my place and eat it.”

She was quickly growing quite fond of the little feline. She was adorable when she wasn’t being a snarky b***h…kind of like herself. Most of the time. She could be adorable too…when she wasn’t being a snarky b***h.

“Sylvia, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. And just to let you know, You will be welcome at my house any time you want some tuna or any other type of food. My doors will be open to you.”

If tuna was a magic word, then fresh tuna was probably the secret to the universe.

"They make that?" Sure, she'd seen chopped fish behind the display glass, but that was usually about the time someone saw her and came chasing her out with a broom. "That sounds...wonderful." Maintaining an aloof demeanor was getting increasingly difficult, and at her mention of friendship the feline could only summon up a very weak guffaw.

"Well, that does sound...lovely..." Food, yes please food, "but you know, I'm my own cat. I can take care of myself." She tried to look dignified, whilr hanging limply in the senshi's gaze like a catnip-addled kitten.

She probably failed.

"I might...drop by, occasionally," she admitted.

Raven laughed, shaking her head. “Well, sounds good. I’ll be sure to stock up on tuna then. Just in case you decide to drop by someday.” She carried the cat to the grocery store that wasn’t too far away and finally set the feline down, walking into the store.

Well, this was an interesting end to the night, at the very least. She had just befriended a guardian cat, by promising tuna. Part of her hoped the cat wouldn’t come around too often…she didn’t want to go broke buying the fish all the time, though…it might be nice, to have an ‘in’ with a guardian cat. It couldn’t be a bad thing, after all, right?

She would see what happened as time went on. But, for now.

Now it was tuna time.
