Beginning on the beachy shores of the lake of Hogwarts, several exquistely decorated boats can be found at dock, ready to guide couples through a dark and elusive tunnel, brimming with Valentine decorations and low burning candles, for a romantic sea adventure.

"Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world." Tristain giggled lightly as she set off into a slow jog towards the edge of the lake, towing Jayden behind her. She could just make out a several shiny boats, and some kind of covering over the water, and thus she ran more out of curiosity than a desire to get onto the lake. Not to mention that she had already told Jayden that she had an idea in mind for entertainment, however white of a lie that happened to be...
Suddenly she was hyper-aware of the fact that their hands were touching, and her body nearly came to an abrupt halt. She managed to keep her legs moving, albeit slowly, despite the sudden electric shock that pulsed through her petite frame. She was now happy to be in the lead - happy that the Gryffindor had no way of seeing her face this time as it blushed the brightest red yet, hues of pink and violet shading her thin cheeks. "In seeking wisdom thou art wise; in imagining that thou hast attained it - thou art a fool."

Jayden Michael Cloud Mood: Happy What I am doing: Finding out where Tristain is taking me What I want to be doing: Nothing else Jayden followed, a casual smile on his face, still trying to figure out where she was taking him. There were many various attractions that the two could go to on this beautiful, starry night. They all were love inspired, so really, anyplace they went to would be quite the romantic rendezvous. He kept his fingers intertwined his, really loving every second of the soft touch. He never had gotten this...flirtatious...with a girl before. It was...refreshing. This was probably because it was Tristain of all people however. He would not feel any fire, or attraction with any other girl that he has met over his time at Hogwarts. He couldn't imagine himself ever being like this with anybody, but Tristain. It just fit...the two of them...like little puzzle pieces in those huge jigsaw puzzles.
They walked on, Jayden occasionally trying to look in front of her to see where they were going. Soon enough, the were approaching the edge of the lake, where he thought to be the 'tunnel of love" was placed. He watched as the young woman he was with pulled him casually, at a moderate pace that he could keep up with. He wanted to know if she was taking him there, but he thought he would wait and find out. She was obviously trying to surprise him in some way, or maybe not. Whatever she was trying to do, the only thing he knew is he would get to spend his time with those beautiful blue eyes locked in his, something that he could only reproduce in a dream.

"Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world." Finally nearing the lake, Tristain whispered, "Will this do?" Slightly embarrassed when she realized the romantic setting for the boat ride, though it was too late to turn back now. She had told him she knew where she was going, so she was forced to stick with that story.
She waited patiently for him to answer, not wanting to board one of the boats if he felt uncomfortable with the attraction. Her blue eyes grazed the candlelit water, mesmerized by the colors that danced along the glass surface. She had never imagined that the Black Lake, its calmness once sinister, could be transformed into something so lovely...so romantic. If nothing else, the view would be something to enjoy. "In seeking wisdom thou art wise; in imagining that thou hast attained it - thou art a fool."

Jayden Michael Cloud Mood: Happy is an understatement What I am doing: Boarding a boat ride What I want to be doing: Nothing else "Of course it will," he said, no sarcasm in his voice whatsoever. He looked forward to this boat ride actually, the romantic feel really taking over the usually saturnine, enigmatic lake. He actually started to blush a little bit. This was definitely a first for him, for he has never had a reason to blush before. He couldn't believe that this was happening to him. Why was he blushing like this? He deemed it an unknown cause and just followed Tristain, who was currently approaching the boat. He kept his hand in hers tightly wound. He wanted her to know that he was with her for the ride and he would thoroughly enjoy it. Fortunately for him, he would not even have to say it because the fact that he was following her and not attempting to pull away most likely made her imply that fact. He would never attempt to get away from her, those beautiful eyes of hers keeping him locked to her. She could get him to do pretty much anything...anything she wanted to do. He would not want to contest, for those hypnotizing eyes of hers kept him there. But something else kept him here as well...something nice...maybe pleasant. He couldn't pinpoint what or ever where it was, but it just didn't let him go anywhere but forward. He was surely okay with it though.

"Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world." Hiding her flushed cheeks, Tristain led them to one of the boats at the edge of the water. Keeping her right hand in his, she used her other to grab the boat's edge and heave herself up into it, leveraging herself with Jayden's supporting hand. Then, her smile now brilliant, she pulled him by his hand to help him inside, though she was fully aware that he could have done it himself.
Giggling as the boat swayed with their imbalanced weight, Tristain quickly took a seat on the small bench, forcing her eyes out to the water as the ride began. The lightweight boat slipped beneath the cover of the enchanted tunnel, slowly sweeping through a darkened corridor, with the only light coming from the row of decorative candles. The water swished soothingly around them, making for a very, very romantic atmosphere. "In seeking wisdom thou art wise; in imagining that thou hast attained it - thou art a fool."

Jayden Michael Cloud Mood: Unexplainable What I am doing: I don't even know What I want to be doing: Nothing more than this Jayden got into the boat and sat extremely close to Tristain, for that was the only way the boat would allow. He looked around, the beautiful atmosphere around him really shooting chills into his spine. He looked over to Tristain, only to find that the positively beautiful atmosphere brought out the fire in the girl's eyes, the sparkling pools of water now showing a deep blue that one could even drown in. He then had a particularly bold idea that may or may not work. But...he honestly thought it would flow. He wrapped his one arm around her shoulders then pulled her even closer, almost to the point that her head laid comfortably on his shoulder. He started to blush, for the feeling that he had not been able to place came back. He just loved this moment so much. Maybe he was being a tad too flirtatious, but he was just being impulsive. He followed what his instincts told him to do. He would not second guess himself...not again. The mistakes he has made when second guessing has added up over the years, taking a toll on his demeanor on life.
He waited for Tristain's reaction to the flirtatious move, but he fully expected her to pull away. He didn't think that she thought of him more than an aquaintance, but he figured he would try since they were on this ride. He always ceased opportunities, and he was quite well-known for that very fact. He watched now, waiting...wondering...wondering what was going on in the mind of the girl he has these unexplainable feelings for. The romantic surroundings definitely helped his cause though.

"Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world." Tristain's heart fluttered as she felt Jayden's warm arm suddenly wrap itself around her shoulders. Her body didn't know how to react - and neither did her mind, for that matter. She froze, unsure of whether to accept the gesture or not, and even more unsure of what it meant.
Despite the quickened pace of her heartbeat, her first reaction was to pull away, though she hesitated for a moment. The contact made her uncomfortable - not because she didn't like it, but because she did like it, and she didn't know what that meant.
The silence suddenly felt awkward, but she decided to break it, and settle for leaving his arm around her, though she tried viciously not to focus on how much she liked the heat that now pulsed through her tiny body. "So..." she began, struggling for a random topic. "when you told me that flying class would be a breeze, I definitely wasn't expecting it to be so...true. Turns out I'm actually enjoying it, though, thanks to your advice and encouragement of course." She giggled quietly, surprised to hear how confident her voice came out, and the sincerity in her words. "In seeking wisdom thou art wise; in imagining that thou hast attained it - thou art a fool."

Jayden Michael Cloud Mood: Ecstatic What I am doing: Romantic Ride with Tristain What I want to be doing: Sitting on the botat. Jayden listened, making sure he soaked in all the details that she had said. He was glad that he helped her become a better flyer, for that was the point of that whole lesson. That means he was successful. He smiled at her with a sincere one, his green eyes then meeting her solid blue ones once again. He waited for her to finish the rest of her sentence, and then he decided that he should most definitely respond back to her.
"I'm glad to be of service.to you Tristain. You did do quite well during flying. I was watching you, for I wanted to see if you needed any help," he admitted to her, keeping her in arm. She was so warm and so nice. The feeling she instilled in him was...divine. He never felt anything like this before, which really led him to wonder what these feelings were. He felt as if he was in the sky, flying above all of the clouds. He wished he could feel this all the time, but it was only a result when Tristain was present. He really needed to know waht this feeling was.

"Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world." Tristain blushed immediately, her cheeks flooding with fresh, warm blood as he admitted that he had been watching her. The feeling was nice, like when Colton protected her, but also something more. It was...flattering.
"Well actually..." Her words began dry and timid, but she forced out an extra ounce of courage as she continued, now nervously bobbing in her seat beneath Jayden's arm. "I was thinking about asking if you might be interested in...tutoring me?" She molded her words into a question, and then felt the sudden need to elaborate. "I know it's too late this year, but I was...see...I— I was thinking about trying out for the quidditch team next year." She sighed in relief when she finally got the words out.
Before he could even hesitate to answer, she hurried to explain even further. "Now that flying doesn't scare me nearly as much, the concept of the sport seems so much more enthralling. I want to keep it a secret from my brother. I think he would be pleased, but not until after I made the team. If I told him I was trying out, he'd think I was nuts, that I couldn't possibly survive such a brutal sport, that I might get hurt... But maybe if I made the team, he could be...proud of me." Her voice was empty by the time she got done rambling, out of breath from forcing out so many words in so little time. "In seeking wisdom thou art wise; in imagining that thou hast attained it - thou art a fool."

Jayden Michael Cloud Mood: Not explainable What I am doing: I don't know What I want to be doing: Nothing else Jayden looked at her in disbelief, for he never expected someone like her to take a liking to his favorite game, which was Quidditch. And not only that, she was asking him to tutor her, as if he was some sort of pro. It made him actually feel quite good about himself inside. He had never been held in such levels by his own family, but that was because they were all super flyers, especially Devin, who was quicker on a broom than even Josh was. He then looked down into the beautiful girl's blue eyes and addressed her question, smiling down at her, his eyes shining brightly because of the moon's light reflecting off of them.
"Of course I will tutor you Tristain. I am glad you hold me in such high esteem. Do you know what position you want to try out for? Each Position really uses different methods of flying," he explained to Tristain, the words coming out softly. Jayden wasn't by any means soft-spoken, but what this girl drew out of him was something different...a different side. A loving side, something he really has never felt and could not explain at all. He did not understand it at all. He did not know what this feeling was. His emotions, acting yet again on sheer impulse, led him to use the hand on the arm draped around her. WIthout really knowing what he was doing, he interlocked his fingers with hers, his palms gently resting on the back of her small hand. Soon enough, he realized what he had just done, causng his face to become just about as pink as the boat. He did not mean to be so impulsive, but now he waited, wanting to know her reaction. Now that he has done it, there really isn't any turning back. He looked on with sheer nervousness, expecting to be rejected.
Sheer nervousness took over his body, leading his stomach to start to ache. He really hoped she did not reject his hand, but it was fully expected. He sat there, his head facing off into the water, for Jayden tried his hardest to hide his sorrowful face. He expected the worse...and he may just get it. He took it too far this time, and as each second passed, his heartbeat rate increased, almost reaching an uncontrollable rate.

"Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world." "Will you really?" Tristain exclaimed with excited disbelief. "That's perfect, Jayden! I was thinking about g—" Her eyes bulged as she interrupted her train of thought with silence when she felt Jayden's fingers interlock with her own. Aside from the disturbing increase in the pace of her heartbeat, the warmth felt even more pleasant that his arm being around her. She felt unreasonably safe in the grips of his protection.
Her swimming eyes of blue dropped to the new connection for just a moment before she realized how obvious she was being. Hastily now, she rushed back into her sentence as if she hadn't paused, completely unaware of Jayden's panic attack that was taking place at her side.
"...thinking about going out for the chaser position," she continued in a quieter voice, although her insides were nothing close to calm. "It seems like the best fit." Her eyes moved to the never-ending jade forests within Jayden's eyes, trying to nonchalantly read whatever was there. "In seeking wisdom thou art wise; in imagining that thou hast attained it - thou art a fool."

Jayden Michael Cloud Mood: How to explain it? What I am doing: Holding hands with Tristain What I want to be doing: Nothing else at the moment Jayden could finally take a deep breath and put on a smile as she accepted his hand. At that moment he knew she was comfortable with him, for anyone that was slightly doubtful would've pulled away. He kept his hand there, feeling the warmth of her hand radiate into his and vice versa. He kept his hand there for as long as she wanted it to be. He smiled as she mentioned about playing his position. He loved that she wanted to play there, but he wasn't sure what Colton would say about that. Chasers were chased by bludgers and they got quite a lot of bruises. He hoped that she was ready for that, but he was sure that she thought about that before asking him this.
"It would be your best-fit, because you would be more agile than most. I know my family and I can teach you the skills necessary to play chaser. We all specialize in something. Josh's shooting is impeccable. Devin flies at extreme speeds. I have the best broom control. So you are probably going to be with me for awhile anyway, he said to her, smiling down to her, looking into her eyes once again, almost falling into yet another daze that only Tristain's sweet voice could sway him from. He loved looking into those sparkling pools of water, also known as her eyes, for they shot a feelings of pure chill right down his body. But it wasn't a painful chill, but one that was refreshing, like ice cream on a hot, summer day.
"So what brought upon this sudden decision to play Quidditch," he said, holding her hand lightly, letting her feel his gentle touch upon her hand. He hoped that she knew she was safe with him. He would not trust her in anyone else's hands but his own. He did not know why, but maybe it was because he had this strong penchant for the girl. A penchant that was so strong, he couldn't even use a word to place its immensity.
The boat rocked lightly, the lights in surrounding area reflecting back almost perfectly with the black sea. It was truly a beautiful sight, one that should be enjoyed. Fortunately, he was accompanied by the girl that filled his thoughts and dreams. He couldn't pick a better person to be with right now.

"Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world." As she did her best to focus solely on Jayden's words rather than allow herself to be fully enveloped by his touch, Tristain's eyes grew wide with surprise while the Gryffindor explained each of his brothers' specializations in quidditch. As he spoke, she realized that—before now—she hadn't been fully aware of how deep the game of quidditch ran through his blood. She enjoyed listening to him go into such detail with so much excitement, the green in his eyes shining even brighter and reflecting back the image of her long blonde hair against a background of peaceful black water.
A deep flush of color touched Tristain's face at the boy's question—as if he had sprinkled a handful of rose petals down the length of her cheeks. "Well..." she began, utterly sure that she wouldn't dare reveal her need for an excuse to spend more time with him, and to give them more to talk about together. He had become an obsession of hers, and as much as she knew how wrong that was, she simply couldn't resist the opportunity.
"Ya see...I used to...dance—not that that has anything to do with quidditch—I just..." Like silver bells, her voice grasped for a reasonable explanation, one that would still be at least somewhat true. "I guess you could say that quidditch would be its replacement. Being away at school doesn't give me much time for ballet, so I thought I could use a new hobby." The Ravenclaw crossed her legs, her right hand instinctively gripping Jayden's tighter. "And, as I mentioned earlier, now that I know I'm not such a bad flyer, I think this would be pretty good opportunity—to entertain myself and to make my family happy... If you think Colton would be proud—and extremely overprotective, you should see how my father would react, even if he is a muggle..." Her voice trailed off as her vision was replaced with a heartfelt scene of her father's you've-made-me-very-proud speech. She had always been able to tell that he had never really cared for her dancing, only attended her recitals to make his little girl happy. Proud? Sure. But not like the effect that her making the quidditch team would have. Aside from the unavoidable worrying, he would certainly be thrilled.
"Plus," she added, "I can't wait to see the look on your face when my team beats yours." The first year wore a defined grin, the kind that spread from ear to ear, flashing a set of pearly, well-tended teeth. "In seeking wisdom thou art wise; in imagining that thou hast attained it - thou art a fool."
