Thule had gathered a decent amount of energy for the night and she had also managed to get the hang of this mirror walking. Go through one, come out at another! So tonight she had delivered her energy and made it her business to find all these hidden mirrors. After all the last thing she needed was to run away through one and then get caught at the other side. She was sure the white mooners would catch on soon and start destroying mirrors and so it made sense to her to at least try and figure out where they all were.

She had just emerged from one when she heard some noise. She stopped, crouched down by the mirror and listened. It was just a couple, romantic sort it seemed walking through the park. Stupid romantics. However she knew there were more mirrors around here and so she went looking, under each bush, around trees and even up in the branches. She wanted to know these mirrors so she could find them when she needed them.

In all honesty, Devlin probably shouldn't have been so lax as he walked through the park that night. A bag of fast food hung from one hand, while the other dipped in and out as he munched on some of the fries. A straw from the soda poked out of the top of the bag, ice jostling in the cup as he walked. Wasn't too often he ate the stuff, but he was returning home from an outting with a friend who'd offered to pay. Who was he to turn down free food?

The random people bumming around the park this time of night might agree with him.

He paid little mind to the few and far between others he glimpsed strolling along. A few seconds of darting eyes to them and back around him and back to them and back to straight ahead and a last glance at them and off to the other side-- but no one was threatening. There were no problems. So far as he was concerned, just had to keep walking till he reached the other end of the park, swing a left, and continue through the rest of the mental path of his to home. Not a long trek, and would probably work off the fries at least. The burger would probably require a few more long walks.

After a couple passed him by, Devlin walked in relative silence for a short stretch. Leaving behind the gleam of yet another light post, movement in the foliage made his eyes snap towards the source. Least. He thought it was the source. Curious, he whipped off the salt and grease from his fingers and pulled out his phone. A few taps later, the flashlight app was on and directed towards the greenary. If it was a pissed off animal or hobo, he could always throw the food at them and run.

"Turn the light off!" She knew it wouldn't be a senshi or well anyone powered as she couldn't feel them so she had no issues just shouting at them. Only then did she stand up and walk out in front of the boy she couldn't see because she had a light pointing in her face.

"I dropped something. Who are you and what do you want?" Demanding wasn't she? It just tended to be her way, really she should just knock him out, take his energy and be done with it but for some reason she didn't feel like being quite that mean. Strange but true.

"You know its dangerous to be out at night... especially in the park." She thought she could try the whole danger thing but he was a guy and well she was a girl. Possibly not the best route to take.

A girl's voice was... not exactly what he'd been expecting when he blasted the light on the rustling plants. His brow rose, head cocking to the side. A few warning bells went off in his head, the fact this chick was rummaging around in the dark like this-- what the hell was she wearing? Wasn't she cold in that? Sure it wasn't the dead of winter but c'mon. His eyes darted around her ensemble, catching on the bits of metal--were those eyes? Was she really wearing eyeballs on her outfit? The hell?--and the whispy stuff and just all around wondering how was she not freezing what the hell. Wasn't the most unflattering thing on her. He could appreciate a skirt and heel combo.

Her explanation and subsequent demands made him snort, though. His mouth had been open to ask her what she'd been doing, but he moved onward from that now that she'd so graciously offered a lame answer. "Don't think the creeper in the shrubs should be askin' the questions, babe. The hell's with the eyes?" Introductions nor explaining his reason for walking through the park were interesting to him at the moment, he was more curious about the damn outfit. "You in a show or somethin'?" Theater folks did seem to have a bunch of random costumes. Of course, he'd heard tales of costumed people running around the city, but why would they be in the park? He'd go for a damn bank or something.

Devlin did lower his cell to not at least be blinding the girl, but saw no reason to turn it all the way off. Just in time for him to roll his eyes and cast her the most unamused no s**t expression in his arsenal. "You're the one in the ********' skirt and heels and you're tellin' me it's dangerous out here? Least I've got a ready distraction." At this he held more aloft his fast food bag, shaking it slightly to show it still held edible contents as the fries and drink sloshed around.

His eyes bounced back to where she'd emerged before scanning the area behind her, then around them to see if anyone else was coming. "Need help findin' whatever y'dropped? You don't even have a light." A large part of him felt her claim placed very high on his bullshit meter, but he was still a little curious what excuse she'd pull to send him away. An even smaller part was honestly wondering what would have a girl dressed like that out here at this hour.

Busted.

"Right. First off, what eyes? Secondly I could kill you in a matter of seconds if I wanted so I would stop with the comments and thirdly I dropped this." She held a bag in her hand and as she opened it she held a piece of a mirror in her hand. However she put it back in the bag and put it away again. He had food and a coat and damn she was cold right now.

"You want to share some of that food and you can ask as many questions as you like. It's ******** freezing out here." No she didn't care too much about her language, she was not really one to care much about what she said at any point. "Oh and no I am not in a show... long story really, one that most wouldn't believe." She stood as straight as she could and then remembered how short her skirt was and so tugged it down a bit. Oh the joys of these outfits!

It was extraordinarily hard to not just burst out laughing at her snap back. Devlin couldn't stop himself from grinning, even if he leaned his head down slightly to try and hide it a little. Kill him? What was this girl on? Some sort of ego trip? Or could she actually throw some punches? Certainly worth the stop, just that one comment. "Easy, girlie. No need to get your panties in a bunch." Straightening, the teen took a few steps towards her, using his flashlight-cell wielding hand to gesture to her chest, forehead, and ankles. "You even pay attention when you get dressed? Those eyes." His own two pair had to really stop checking out her skirt and hell combo, but he gave an appreciative smile before adding, "Not that you don't look damn fine in that, but why'd the ******** you wear that out here in the park?"

Now that he was a bit closer, he peered curiously at the bag she'd held up, the light from his phone having glinted off the glass she'd held up. "Break something?" Without being sure what it was from, he could only begin to speculate. Still wasn't sure what the deal was, or why she'd have to be out here so late for it. But they were answers, and his curiosity was running rampant. Enough so that, when she made her demand, Devlin's grin grew and a laugh rippled out from his lips. The fast food bag was offered towards her, closing the distance a tiny bit more so she could actually reach it without much effort on her part. "Have at it. I've apparently got a ******** of questions." Her language was casual to him--he certainly had more than enough of a mouth of his own. To being cold though, the guy could only shrug. He was quite comfy in his sweatshirt and jacket over it. The perks of dressing for the weather.

As the girl continued to speak, he only had more questions popping out of his mouth, "Give me the SparkNotes version? Hell, I've got time." And food. And a jacket. He was not above bartering.
