Dakota was thinking that it was time to make some life changes. Specifically ones that wouldn't end up with him getting killed in the near future. And he was thinking about his talk with Candace. He had said something that had made him think, that had questioning his beliefs on certain matters.

And who better to talk to then the first "friend" and brother he had made on the island. Though he didn't want close bonds with people he would lose one day soon, he had thought of Wilson as one of the people closest to him.

So when he knocked on the Death trainee's door, with snacks and smutty novels tucked under his arm, he thought of just how he would go about talking to Wilson. He had done things he knew his brother would disapprove of but...Wilson had always been there for him.

Dakota didn't realize but he was around a lot of guys to look up to, and it was time he showed a little of the faith they showed him. He didn't want to be known as the pervy creeper anymore but of someone that people might actually grow to like.

Maybe just a regular flirt? If that was possible.

"Yo Wilson, Its Dakota out here, Hurry up and let me in before the food drops or someone see's the stash I am carrying." The smutty stash. Such a 17yr old.

It was weird to think about how Wilson and Dakota had become friends. Realistically, judging by their first meeting he would not have realized they would become close. The memory wasn’t very pleasant, actually—what kind of person thought it was logical to grab someone’s mask during a mission briefing? Really. He wondered how their odd friendship had developed, but a friend was a friend. While Dakota was not exactly the greatest human being—too uh, put it plainly—Wilson couldn’t think of abandoning the poor trainee despite his perverted and flirtatious ways. Somehow, he would deal.

Wilson could easily deal with the younger hunter knocking on his door. He welcomed it, actually. After so many hours of training and so many hours of drudging over books in the library, a familiar face was gladly appreciated. Once he placed his completed Rubik’s cube on the small table, Wilson walked toward the door and opened it. Instinctively, he smiled at the moon trainee. “Dakota! Hey, is there something that you need—…” He stopped midsentence when he stared down at the items in Dakota’s arms. The snacks he did not mind. There was always room in Wilson’s stomach for food of all kinds. What caught his attention was the undeniable stash of smut. His eyes narrowed. Were some of those books from the box of romance novels he had discovered a while ago? Wilson shook his head, shuffling to the side to allow Dakota into his dorm. “Right. Come on in.” Afterwards, the door clicked softly as it closed. “Do you want to talk about something? Bored, even? Or…?”

He grinned as his bro opened the door before pushing past and then setting everything down. Dakota didn't have to worry about Wilson being offended or anything because well, their first meeting had been pretty bad. I mean, it was really disappointing that Wilson had such a...normal face underneath his gas mask but...it only slightly effected their friendship. Had he had a scar or something, Dakota would've idolized him...now he just kinda of....picked on him. Sorta....

"First, I came to return these..." He handed him the stack of the smutty novels before shrugging, "I read them all so you can put them back in the box or whatever. Thanks for letting me borrow..." he grinned again before plopping himself on the floor, sitting Indian style with his legs crossed. He took a moment to pop open one of the bags of chips and set up a Mt. dew in his reach before taking a chip and munching it.

"Not Bored..." He said as he chewed...then swallowed before looking down. "I came for advice I guess." He popped another chip.

"We've been friends awhile now yeah? And you always help me out when I am in trouble so...Can you help me with what I am telling you?" He smiled again, giving Wilson the biggest orange doe eye's he could..."Please?"

Wilson didn’t get offended. Period. If someone asked him the last time he got offended or furious he wouldn’t be able to answer, and it wasn’t just because he didn’t pay attention to those kinds of things. And for the record, Wilson probably wouldn’t have wanted Dakota to idolize him anyways.

“But I didn’t lend you—…” He was rendered into silence when Dakota handed him the pile of smutty romance novels. Wilson took a moment to stare at the top book before awkwardly shuffling over to an empty corner to deposit the books at. Somehow, he would hunt down that box and put the books in there because he sure as hell was not keeping it. He didn’t even want to think of Emmaline’s reaction if he attempted to gift them to her. “You read them? Even the uh…ones with two guys?” Wilson skimmed through the titles to see if Dakota had somehow taken such a book.

He sat down on his bed, scooting until he pressed his back against the wall. Dakota seemed awkward. This was new. “Yeahhh,” Wilson answered slowly, now staring at the younger trainee. He rolled his eyes. “Shoot away, Dakota.” Funny enough, Wilson reached over to grab a basketball and shot it into the hoop attached to the back of his door.

Dakota grinned before waving his hand. "Sorry brother but I had to steal a few to keep me occupied in my lonely room. Turns out some of them had some good romantic plots...kinda of boring..." He grin widened before he shook his head, "Sorry but I ain't no Robert, there was no way I would grab those ones..."

When Wilson made the shot, Dakota gave him a thumbs up and threw back the ball that tapped his foot.

"I got a girl problem..." He frowned, "I flipped her skirt and she went ape s**t on me and well...." He frowned again...."I think I almost died but I don't remember a lot. Plus well....I really pissed her off and....even though I was just messing around and stuff soo....."

He paused...

"Can I ask you some advice on girls?"

He gave Dakota an incredulous look. Good romantic plots? Really? Had Wilson heard the boy correctly? The death trainee slowly turned his head back toward the pile of books. He felt slightly tempted to skim through the books, but blinked and lightly shook his head as he recalled his first experience with the smut novels. No, not again.

Wilson grinned at the thumbs up. “Thanks.” He caught the ball and let it rest in his lap, arms loosely draped over the orange sphere of rubber. “A girl problem?” he repeated. Cue Wilson rolling his eyes when Dakota elaborated on the situation. “No need to omit the name, Dakota, I already know its Reine. She told me about it a couple days ago.” Wilson would have thrown in his five cents on Dakota’s actions, but he figured Dakota had already learned his lesson by now—hopefully. He perked a skeptical eyebrow. “Messing around?” Wilson picked up the basketball and took another shot. It landed on the rim and after a couple spirals, eventually fell through the hoop. “Don’t know if I’m an expert, but go ahead and I’ll try to help.”

Ah ha. Wilson had looked at the books again...meaning it had caught the boy's attention concerning them. Besides they weren't all that bad reads considering...well there was no pictures so left a lot up to the imagination but still....

"Darn!" He snapped his fingers before scritching the back of his head, "I didn't know everyone knew about the situation yo." He sighed as he rolled on his crossed legs before thinking of just how to tell Wilson his problem.

"Well you said you weren't a virgin when we went to see Dr. H so that means that you have some kind of experience okay." Dakota rose an eyebrow to see if Wilson would say something about that before continuing on. "So...Okay since you know about Reine and all..." He rubbed his chin as he formulated his thoughts to think of the question he wanted to ask.

"I had a talk with Jordan who is like...her big brother or something. Dude's pretty cool Wilson." Dakota smiled before continuing on, "He said something about apologizing and it really stuck with me. Like...I've never been serious about a girl and well...She was just fun to mess with and stuff and then she kicked my a** and all..." He blinked before looking around and then whispering, "Is it weird that I think that after she kicked my a** that she's actually really cute and I would like to get to know her better?"

Wilson laughed. “Word travels fast, I guess.” He shrugged. “It was kind of a coincidence for me, though. I found Reine kind of moping in the cafeteria, so I decided to talk to her and the conversation just sort of went from there.” The man crossed his legs and scooted toward one side of his bed, allowing Dakota a spot to sit if he wanted to.

He gave Dakota a long stare. What did virginity have to do with—oh, okay. “I won’t guarantee awesome, eye-opening advice, but I can try.”

While Wilson had never really talked with Jordan—maybe once or twice, but he had clearly forgotten those by now—but the sun trainee seemed like a pretty decent guy. Plus, didn’t some people like to call him Boss? No idea where the name came from, but it must mean he was a reliable, right? He nodded his head. “Apologizing is good.” And then Dakota mentioned the word “serious.”

Wait. Serious? Dakota was serious about a girl? Oh God, had the day finally come at last?! Grinning, Wilson went over to wrap an arm around Dakota’s shoulders. “I don’t think it’s weird at all. Rather, if you want to get to know her more than I think you should. You never know what will happen.”

Dakota blinked before nodding. "Sorry you had to hear it from her though, I bet she really went off about me." His frown deepened. Dakota moved up on the bed, leaning more off it, and stretching his long legs out in front of him.

"It's cool, at this point I would take anything brother." He smiled at the older trainee before nodding, "Your probably the only one I can really ask about it right now." He grinned.

"See, okay, I am serious about getting to know her but...Can you really start of on a good foot of getting to know someone when they hate your guts already?" He waited...

"I don't wanna change who I am but I feel like Reine wouldn't ever consider me as anything more as a nuisance if I didn't change..."

He shook his head. “It’s okay. She didn’t talk too much about it.” This was more so because Wilson had been worried about Reine’s anger issues than the incident itself, but he kindly omitted that little fact. A quirk of the brow. “The only one?” he repeated, his fingers laced together. “I think I’m supposed to feel touched about that, but now I’m wondering why I’m the only one.”

Wilson hummed thoughtfully, his fingers drumming together as he considered Dakota’s questions. “That’s a good question, but I think if you’re willing to wait a while.” He shot Dakota a look. “And I do mean a while, I think you two can be on good terms.”

The man threw his friend another look at the mention of ‘nuisance.’ neutral “Yes…Well, maybe you can try to tone down some things.”
