"Ipsa autem die, surget eques proferre iustitiae et honor. IN EO CHAOS INFINITUM!"
As the latin tapers, sounding as if God himself were speaking, a whinny could be heard throughout the arena. At this, the opening drumroll to "
Chronicles of a Hero" began. From the stage, Dion appeared atop a white horse, an attendant following close behind, presumably to take the horse once the entrance was done. Dion raised his fist in the air, while his other hand held the reins, his signature shield attached to that arm.
"Making his way to the ring, from Minneapolis, MN; weighing in at 270 pounds; he is the Hardcore Paladin, DION NECURAT!!!"
Smoke began to flow onto the ramp and ring as he made his way down the ramp. Many fans tried to reach out and pet Walnut (the name of the horse), but to no avail. When they reached the bottom of the ramp, Dion dismounted, handing the reins to the attendant to lead the horse back up the ramp. He slid into the ring and raised his shield as if to protect himself, then lowering it to raise his other fist. He took off the shield and set it outside of the ring, then handed his hat to the referee.
Dion also asked the ring announcer for his microphone. It seemed that he had something he wanted to talk about.
"As you all are no doubt aware, a large group of competitors walked out on WWF:G last week. Among those that left, I saw guys like Malice, Kid Omega, Nuke Fusion, and even my good friend Major Devastation, show their disapproval of the direction this company is going. However, by all means do not see this as a negative, and do not look down on these competitors for making the choice to leave." The fans were confused; he's still with the company, yet defending the ones that left, and in the case of Major, even took company property? What purpose would that serve him?
"With this walkout comes a gap; a void, if you will, that needs to be filled. Now is the time for those of us who may have never considered giving themselves a chance to rise up and seize this opportunity. I know I have, and my target is the top." He paused for effect, allowing time for the fans to cheer. "As I speak to you, I fully know that we are in the midst of a coward's title reign. Our champion is a man of outright cowardice; he is more than willing to give up honor and respect simply to hold on to a title belt. I am, of course, referring to Freakshow," the crowd boo'd when his name was mentioned. "Now, Freakshow, I know you have a title match tonight against Mike Landry, but I want you to know this; if you take a cheap way out of that match, a cheap opportunity to walk away with the title, know that I will be on you like a hawk to its prey. I'm coming for your title, Freakshow. And when I get there...justice will be realized." The crowd cheered as he handed the microphone back to the announcer.
