There were many things that Lesath was expecting tonight. Perhaps one of them was that she was expecting to get into a showdown with Acubens for stealing the stupid White Moon senshi’s girlfriend. But…one thing she wasn’t expecting, not by a long shot, was a call from Requiem, asking to meet her in the woods.
What kind of a crazy request was that? Still…It was Requiem…and Lesath had been thinking about her just the other day, wondering what had happened to the other member of her team. She walked through the mirror to one that she knew was close to the woods, then walked inside the dark area, blinking in the moonlight that managed to filter through the trees. “Hello? Requiem? It’s Lesath…you around here somewhere?”
What a very odd place to meet. In the back of her mind though, she hoped the other girl was okay.

Requiem hadn't been sure who she should call. She couldn't have called Ares, she already owed Ares way too much. She needed someone she could trust, and while she could surely trust anyone in the Dark Mirror Court, Lesath's name kept coming to mind. Perhaps Lesath reminded her of Becky in some weird way - they were blonde and pretty, although Requiem clearly preferred Lesath's company to Becky's. Otherwise they wouldn't be in the situation they were in. That she was in.
Dealing with the corpse of Becky.
"Over here," Requiem called, pacing around the body in small circles. Becky's once blonde hair was dried red with her blood, and her face was completely disguised in it. She wasn't sure what to do - just bury her? It seemed the most logical, but she needed help to do so. Emotional help, really.
When Lesath found Requiem, the Senshi of Burial couldn't look more distressed and unpleased.
"I made a mistake," Requiem grumbled. There were two shovels a few feet away that she had 'borrowed' from the old funeral home. "Help?"

It had been a long while since Lesath had last seen Requiem, in fact, the last time had been when she first joined the DMC…a newbie with absolutely no idea what the hell was going on. Times had changed a lot since then, and now her hair was shorter, and her bows longer. She was pleased to have gained so much in the past few months, and hoped that Requiem would be as happy as she was.
She hurried over, then stopped, staring at the…body that was lying on the ground. What the hell…had Requiem done. A mistake…she killed someone…and called it a mistake? Teal eyes blinked in utter confusion though she glanced towards the shovels.
“Well…” The girl walked over and picked one up. “You picked a fine time of the year to decide to kill someone, Requiem. The ground is going to be wicked hard to get through…After as cold as its been and all the snow we had.”
Well…she had to have had a very good reason for this. You didn’t just kill on a whim.

"I didn't mean to kill her," Requiem clarified. "I was just roughing her a bit, she fell and hit her head. It wasn't my fault." She knew that wasn't exactly true, but she didn't want to argue. She picked up a shovel and tossed it to Lesath with enough force for it to at least get near the other Senshi, let alone catch it.
"I see that you've become more powerful since I've last seen you. Now lets put your new strength to good use and help me bury the girl, will you?" she asked, a half-question, half-instructed as she grabbed her own shovel and plowed it into the ground, scooping up a hunk of dirt.
"I'm sure you have questions about this, so let me be clear," she said as she scooped out another chunk. "The dead girl is - or was - my roommate. I had meant to just scare her, but clearly things got out of hand." Another chunk of dirt was scooped up, this time piling onto the dead girl's bloody face. "There was a witness in the dorm room when I kidnapped her, which may ease the tension off me - or the civilian me, at least. I assume he'll either become the primary suspect, or the case will be lumped together with all the other quote-unquote 'terrorist' cases."
She scooped a fourth pile. "Does that answer any questions?"

Lesath couldn’t help but grin and began shoveling the dirt away as well. Every few moments she would glance at the now half covered girl and finally she just glanced up at Requiem. “She must have been a real b***h. I’m guessing she had it coming, yeah?”
It was strange. That this really wasn’t that big of a deal to her at the moment. Hadn’t she just…kidnapped a girl for no real reason other than to get revenge on someone else? Hm. Tonight it seemed like even murder, for a good reason was all hunky dorey.
The blonde shook her head and laughed to herself as she continued trying to force the shovel through the cold ground. “What are you going to do about a roommate now, what if they stick you with someone even worse? That would just suck.”

"I doubt there could be much worse," Requiem hoped as she dug. "I've known this girl for years - she tormented me my entire life, and then I was stuck living with her." She sighed. "I guess she won't be bothering me anymore." She felt bad, truly, for her family - but she didn't feel very much regret. It was a mistake in her mind, and although it was never her intention to kill anyone, it was a mistake she could live with. "Although I don't suppose you know anyone looking for a dorm room at DCU."
Then again, she hadn't really given Lesath much of a reason to look for a roommate for her. After all, she had just killed her last roommate.

Lesath nodded at this, thinking for a long moment. That sucked. But…Revenge was for the best in this case, she supposed. Now Requiem wouldn’t have to deal with the nonsense that the ex roommate had been dishing out…and, sure. People would be upset, but they would get over it.
She thought about the dorm room question and first thought of Thule…the girl had asked about anyone looking for a roommate, but…then she thought of herself. What was the point…of waiting? Acubens had completely snubbed her offer now, and after her little kidnapping stunt of tonight…she highly doubted that Acubens would ever reconsider the offer.
“Yeah. I know someone who wants a dorm room. But. Are pets allowed, because I have a dog, and I can’t just leave her behind.”

Requiem slammed the shovel into the ground, but didn't scoop any dirt this time. She just froze. s**t. She didn't exactly mean to offer Lesath a place to stay - it was a bit too much of mixing her personal life with her professional life. Then again, other than her secret rendezvous trysts with Jack, she didn't have much of a personal life anyways these days. Would it be wrong to start? Its been so long since she's last been social, so much had changed. Everything changed, really.
"Uhm," Requiem said, breaking the too long silence as she thought it over more. No, she needed to not think and just go with her gut on this. "Yes, they allow dogs."
Oh, that was her gut? Maybe she should have thought more, she wondered. Oh well, it looked like she was going with it.
"Are you at DCU? I think you'd be able to stay with me then," she gave a faint awkward smile before finally scooping out more dirt.

“Yeah, I’m at DCU. I transferred there at the start of Spring. HITS just wasn’t for me. It was disgusting to have a schedule ruled by the school again. I was done with that when I left Meadowview.”
The senshi continued digging and gave a little nod. “Then…If you wouldn’t mind. We could try it out. I mean. If you’d be willing to live with another blonde.” She looked at Requiem, giving a little grin. “If you have a problem with me, please, just tell me. I’d rather not, you know. Die because of it.”
How easy it was to joke about something like that…but, Requiem was an ally. A friend. Someone that Lesath knew she could trust and rely on…even if the girl hadn’t really been around much at all. She just…didn’t want to be alone all the time now. Plus. Living closer to DCU would save her so much gas money.
“Yeah. If you’re up to it. I would love to move in with you.”

"Wonderful," Requiem grinned. "Then let it be our first act as roommates to dispose of the body of my first roommate."
That was probably the first of many signs that Raven shouldn't move in with Tova.
((Late reply, short post, and fin!))
