Everyone has their favourite starting Pokemon - whether or not you box yours after the first gym after getting a pidgey or a mankey you gotta like at least one right? wink
Out of all three generations, which starting Pokemon is your favourite?
I personally adore Squirtle - he's the only starter out of all the series in which I adore all his evolutions. Plus the fact that Blastoise is bad-fuggin-a** helps.

Let's see back in the old days my favorite starter was always Squirtle than over time it was Charmander.
Let's see for Johto it's always been Cydaquil.
And for Hoen Treeko.

Zarka-chan obviously likes fire-type Pokemon. 3nodding
As for Icy...I love Bulbasaur. whee I am mostly attracted to it's adorableness. Bulbasaur is one of the few grass-type Pokemon I like. That...and I've always liked the attitude that Ash's Bulbasaur has.
As for Johto...I'd have to say...Cyndaquil. Mainly for Quilava.
And finally, Hoenn. It's gotta be...Treeko. Another one of the few grass-type that I like.

Final Evolution:
Kanto - Charizard
Johto - Typhlosion
Hoenn - Blaziken
Wierd how they keep on changing their types as they evolve... mrgreen

depends on what version of the game...
red/blue- I like bulbasaur or charmander, but it's harder to start out with charmander due to being fire vs. ground/rock
gold/silver- quilava or tododile
ruby/sapphire- torchic or treeco ( i think I spelt it wrong)

I picked mine based on their:
~ Looks. ( >>; )
~ Starting stats. ( Not too slow. Not too weak. )
~ Starting abilities. ( And how quickly they learned new ones. )
I ended up picking the water starters everytime. ^^;;
