❷ Concerning RP Samples. Squad 13 is a literate squad. Therefore, I have the right to turn down your application if it's not up to par. Follow these guidelines when choosing, or creating, a roleplay sample:
_________⊱ Your sample can come from anywhere. It can be from an old guild, or roleplay. It does not have to have anything to do with Bleach.
_________⊱ It should be one paragraph minimum (7-9 sentences) and there's no maximum length. Please do keep in mind that this is a sample, so I'd prefer something realistic, not the longest post you've ever
written. I'm pretty confident that I can judge your ability within 3-5 paragraphs.
_________⊱ Common law applies to your sample. So a good way to get declined is to give me a post saying how your unseated little OC slaughtered that vasto lorde in a single blow. I shouldn't have to tell you not to autohit or godmod. Because you all know better... Don't you?
_________⊱ Is your post fluid, and do you pay attention to detail? Can I visualize what's happening and understand what your character's doing? Be clear about character actions and your surroundings. However, don't fill up your post with fluff about how pretty the clouds look for a whole paragraph or how many bricks are in that wall because you don't know what else to say. Sometimes less is more. Honestly, I don't know if I can stress that enough. I've seen people post the most extraneous nonsense, and I want to scratch out my eyes. Please understand that, after a while, it actually becomes tedious to read through that tome you've just written. Be conscious of your audience and the folks with whom you're writing. We're here to have fun, not outpost each other.
_________⊱ Last but not least, grammar. Do you use proper grammar and punctuation? Is your writing fluid or awkward and stilted? How often do you misspell words? Firefox is an excellent tool there. Just like Microsoft Word, it underlines misspelled words. I'm sorry to say it, but I'm a bit of a stickler when it comes to grammar and punctuation. Please, please, please learn the difference between there/their/they're, you're/your, it's/its, loose/lose, etc... Don't misunderstand me-- I'm forgiving up to a certain extent, but it really detracts from a reader's experience to have to sort through improper use of apostrophes and whatnot.

Here you'll learn a bit of everything: kidou, martial arts, swordplay; our members are all-rounders with a well-balanced arsenal of skills and techniques, sharp minds, and the ability to work with a team and maintain a level head under pressure. We are always faithful, always true, and we will never leave a man behind.
