Get home from work, eat dinner, put Millie to bed, watch some television, think about going out and patrolling, then actually doing so. It had all become somewhat of a routine for Bellatrix by now, and she once more found herself summoning her powder puff and heading out into the icy winter streets.
She had grown very fond of her outfit…uniform thing that she wore while being this Page of Venus, though wished it was just a little bit warmer. While out trying to make sure she kept her daughter and the rest of the city safe, Caelian was risking life and limb just from the elements alone. Her legs would be icicles by the time she would return to her warm house when her patrol was finished, and already they were growing very, very cold.
She shivered, then pressed on, rubbing her arms in an effort to conserve a little heat. She wondered if anything interesting would happen tonight, some nights held surprises, and some didn’t. She slightly hoped this one would. Ever since that meeting with the blonde fellow, things had been quite dull.
The woman’s mood grew slightly happier when she felt a slight tingle, though this one was a better tingle then had been with that other boy. It was…sort of like Camelot’s, though not quite. She hurried over to it, hoping it was some ally to speak to, maybe someone who knew what they were doing.

Ambrosia was cold!
In the summer the patrolling was probably a lot easier. But for now, she girl shivered, putting her gloved hands in her armpits while her stuffed bee was pressed to her chest by her crossed arms. Stupid snow. Normally the youth loved snow just as much as the next kid. But that was when she was wearing pants, and boots. And a jacket. Now she was stuck in a skirt made of light fabric that was pretty, but not very warm. She jumped on a bench, standing where people would sit under the glow of a streetlight. Ok, just a little longer, two more streets and she would get her frozen little butt home.
She brought her hands out form under her arms, feeling the warmth tingling from her fingers to her wrist. Then the warmth started to leave by the same route. Stupid fuku. Maybe when she grew up, she would get a warmer one!

Caelian walked closer still and felt the tingling growing. She noticed a shape that…looked very tall. Instantly she drew in a breath, somewhat concerned that this might be one of those monsters again, and wondering if it would be better to just…leave and get herself home. After all, there was no Camelot here to help her whack the creature with a shield, and her powder puff was…well.
A powder puff.
The woman gave herself a mental kick as she drew closer to the shape, then blinked. Why…it was a child standing on a bench? What was a kid doing out here this late? And in this cold?
Her raspberry eyes narrowed and then widened. “Aren’t you freezing in that outfit?” She supposed she shouldn’t have been so direct, but, the poor kid didn’t even have sleeves! At the very least Caelian had her floppy three quarter length sleeves to keep down to her elbows warm. This child…had nothing.
“Also…what are you doing just standing here? Is that a Halloween costume?”

Her inner musings, if they could be called that, were interrupted by a flicker of energy, and then a woman's voice reaching her ears. She twisted, the other person just an outline in the gloom outside of the cone of light.
She hopped down from her perch on the bench, clutching the bee plushie tightly. It was a lady. She couldn't be bad right?
"I'm not cold." She lied, taking a step to the edge of the light. She could see much better now, and the outline quickly filled in with pink and purple. What pretty colors!
"I was..looking for someone." She said, casting a glance over her shoulder. She was sure this person was the one that had the energy, but just in case, she wasn't going to just tell her that she was youma hunting. "No it's not a Halloween costume. It's just what I wear."
"What's your name?" she asked, leaning out of the light.

Caelian watched the child and quickly frowned at the costume she was wearing. “I don’t believe you. You must be freezing. I’m freezing…at least you have boots. The tops of my feet are completely frozen.” She would never let Millicent out in such an outfit on a night like this, the poor child would get sick again and it would just be awful.
“My name is Caelian…Page of Venus. And who are you?” She walked over and gave a little frown. “Does your mom know you’re out without a jacket? You’ll get sick you know. My daughter just got over a really bad cold not too long ago, and it was because she didn’t wear her jacket like I told her too.”
It wasn’t that she was out here…it was all about the jacket. Though, Caelian was very curious as to why a child was out all alone on such a cold night anyway.

oooooh she was a knight type person too! Ambrosia rather liked the knights. They were nice and helpful and super brave because they didn't use magic.
The chibi senshi waved, saying "My name is Chibi Sailor Ambrosia!" She didn't need to hide the fact that she was youma hunting anymore. Not when this person was probably doing the same thing. She peered up at the very adult face, and her mind flickered a little bit. She was talking about a jacket an awful lot, but that was probably because she was a mom. Another mom!
"You know, I met another mom before you." She said, walking forward confidently. Shallot was nice, but she spent a lot of time telling Ambrosia not to be a senshi. She hoped that this one wouldn't do that.
The motherly tone made her want to shrink like when her Mamma wasn't happy with her, but she didn't. She was a senshi! They didn't get scared over upset Mammas! "She doesn't know I'm out here. I can't tell her that I have magic because otherwise someone will try and hurt her to make me give up." Just like all the superheroes she read about.

Sailor…Chibi Ambrosia…What did that even mean? The page tilted her head to the side. “So…you’re a sailor? Do you have a boat?” That made sense, right? Sailors had boats and ships and they sailed around. Right?
“But, if you’re a sailor, why aren’t you out on the ocean? There aren’t even very many lakes around the city.” When the child mentioned meeting another mom, she blinked. “Well…I would have been surprised if you hadn’t. There are tons of moms around the city…Wait. You have magic?”
Just what on earth was going on here? “I’m very confused now. Why do you have magic?” Ambrosia was the second powered person she had met, and she was completely inexperienced with that. She had no idea what a senshi was, let alone a chibi. All of this was very , very strange, and she waited eagerly for the child’s answer.

The child let out a giggle, covering her mouth as her sides shook. Her green eyes sparkled and when she could finally talk again she said "I don't have a boat! That's the wrong kind of sailor!" The question caught her unawares. Why were they called Sailor Senshi? She had yet to meet any that looked like sailors or had powers of the water or boats....maybe she could ask someone older than her sometime. For now.. "I'm not really sure why we are called Sailor Senshi. But I know that I am a Chibi because I am small!" Of course she meant in age, but size was also true.
"And I mean I have met a mom that had powers too." She was also a knight now that Ambrosia thought about it. Were all the moms of Destiny City being turned into knights? Is that who knights were, parents? Ambrosia took a moment to bounce around as her child energy took over for a second. When she was done having her fun, she twisted back to Caelian and nodded with enthusiasm.
"Yeah I have magic. That's how I fight the bad guys!" She struck a dramatic pose, pointing her finger into the air while her other hand went to her hip. "I used my honey powers to stop youma in their tracks!"
Her pose dissolved into one of the girl leaning forward with her hands clasped under her chin. "Do you wanna see!?"

Cealian couldn’t help but think that this child was absolutely adorable…and quite full of information. So…they didn’t have boats, they had magic. And she knew other moms? With powers too. She nodded, trying to process all of this, then with some surprise in her voice exclaimed. “Honey powers? Sure. I would love to see…that sounds…interesting and like…”
The woman hesitated, then laughed. “It sounds like you could really get those youma into a sticky situation if you tried.” Oh. Old people humor. She hoped that the chibi senshi wouldn’t think she was terrible and boring an all of the things that Cealian was thinking about herself at that very minute. But it did sound exciting. A child that could just shoot honey? How fun that could be…and useful…”You know, I bet that could help you if you were to ever get chased by a bear…”
Not that there were any bears in Destiny City…at least none that she knew of.

Ambrosia clapped and skipped a few feet away, preparing her power. The silly jokes from Cealian made her laugh. A mom that was really funny!
"Those are some good jokes!" She said a little louder. "You should be a comedian!
She stopped talking long enough to call her power. "Honey Shoot!" she said quietly, feeling the power take the form of honey that swirled and balled together at her feet. It hovered a few inches from the ground, a soccer ball of sticky, gooey honey. Ambrosia took a few steps back and kicked the honey ball as hard as she could. Her aim was the bench that Cealian stood by, and she really hoped that it wouldn't splash over onto the older woman.
The ball shot forward, propelled by the tiny senshi's kick. It struck the bench, stretching tendrils of honey out from its initial hit at the arm closest to Ambrosia to splat honey against the back of the bench. Almost immediately the honey began to crystallize, hardening from goo to thick paste to an almost glass like surface that shimmered in the lamp light. Ambrosia jogged back to the bench, eyeing her work.
"That's my Honey Shoot!" she crowed happily.

To say that Caelian was impressed by this, was a complete and total understatement. She clapped and stared at the honey, eyes alight with curiosity and excitement. “That…that was amazing. Really amazing!” She bent down and touched the smooth hardened honey, shaking her head. “Ambrosia, that has to be one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen!”
She shook her head and still continued to seem amazed. “To think that a child like you could…could do magic. We really, we really have a lot of amazing people on our side of this…this war, don’t we.”
The page let out a small sigh and shook her head. “Well…It just seems to be getting colder and colder…can I walk you home, Ambrosia? Maybe someday you and I could come out and look for youma together? I think you could be a big help…I mean,” She showed the girl her powder puff. “My…uh. Weapon doesn’t really do much of anything…To anyone…And the last time I had a run in with a youma…Well. I could have used some magic honey.”
She laughed, very pleased to have met this chibi senshi, she may have been small, but clearly, she could take care of herself!

Bowing dramatically, she giggled at the compliment. Personally she thought that it was one of the coolest things she had ever seen too, but she wasn't going to say that to Caelian. That would be bragging, and no one likes a big braggy-pants.
War...she had heard it called that only once before. The Knight...Shallot! That was her name. All green and flowery...no stay focused! Shallot had called it a war. That term bothered Ambrosia. Wars were or grown ups, not for kids. And yet, with the exception of all the Knights she had met, everyone else was a teenager at best. Calling what they were doing a war meant that the grown ups thought that kids shouldn't be a part of it.
The tiny senshi hadn't felt the cold until Caelian mentioned it, and she shivered despite her want to say that she wasn't cold. There was no fooling a mom, she knew that. The indicated powder puff grabbed her attention and she stared at it in confusion. Was this really the Knight's weapon? What on earth was she supposed to do with a powder puff?
She smiled sweetly, and said "Sure! I should get to bed. I have school tomorrow and if my teacher sees me fall asleep in class they won't like it!" Ambrosia was careful not to mention anything about her school or her teacher. Can't be giving her identity away!

“Ah, my daughter has school tomorrow too…I hope that I’ll be awake enough to get her up in the morning!” The woman laughed, walking with the girl. I fell asleep in school once, and boy was my teacher mad at me!” She shook her head, sighing and grinning. Such a long time ago…It was hard to believe that so much time had passed. “Well, You keep on doing well in school, maybe on Saturday we could go and patrol? I don’t really have any other friends to patrol with, and you can say no, but I really would feel a lot better with such a strong senshi by my side.”
Caelian smiled at the girl. “Who knows, maybe we can save some people from youmas!” It could work out, she could make sure the girl stayed okay, and the child could show her more of that honey magic. Besides, two people together fighting monsters was always better than just one on their own.

"I wish school was as easy as being a senshi."
It really was easy to be a senshi. She knew what she had to do, and had the tools to do it. Ambrosia didn't have to read a manual or follow a whole bunch of rules to be a senshi. She just had to beat up youma. Math had way too many rules to follow. Just thinking about her math homework made her brown haired head spin.
Her face lit up from within. "Patrolling with someone would be a lot of fun! Better than being by myself!"
Soon the couple were only a couple streets away from Ambrosia's house. Here the young senshi stopped. While she did like and trust Caelian, she didn't want to march up to her house in a fuku.
"I haveta change before I get too much closer to my house." she said, turning to face the adult.

Caelian nodded. "Then, I should let you go, okay? You be safe on your way home, Ambrosia." She didn't think that the child would want to reveal herself, and that was fine. She didn't have to. And, to be honest, Caelian wasn't completely comfortable with giving her own identity away...it was different when it was another knight, she felt that she could really, really trust them...with almost everything.
No, maybe next time she would show Ambrosia who she was. Maybe. "Have a good day at school tomorrow, okay? And keep your honey sticky!" She laughed, her raspberry eyes twinkling. "See you later."
Cealian waved then, and began walking away, giving the girl the privacy she needed to change back into whatever normal little girl she was, when she wasn't a tiny super hero child.
Children in this war. Well, that was a very interesting find indeed. Though, not to terribly much of a bad one, no, not unless they were getting hurt. But, that's why she was there. To protect the kids from getting hurt...even if sometimes the kids would have a much more useful attack or way to protect themselves than she did.
Destiny City was getting stranger by the night.
