History
An adult in her prime Aanjay roams the forests she calls home, she defends her space aggressively and though she is a herbavoir, she is not afraid to draw blood. Not since she got the scars that mark her as something to fear.
That day seemed like a life time ago, she and her siblings were just out of childhood. Mother had recently started teaching them how to defend themselves with their natural weapons, but today was a lesson on feeding. What plants to avoid, what would settle a stomach if they ate too many berries, and so on when some great beast, that Aanjay and her bothers and sisters had never seen before. Fearful they backed away from the infected male who advanced on them. Mother though would not let anything happen to her babies as long as she was alive, and attacked the male as he made his way for the young ones.
Though she faught with a reason, she was not match for the male who was out of his mind with the sickness. Aanjay was terrified, but she would not, could not stand and watch her mother beat into the ground by this monster, so she attacked him. She'd only grasped the idea of battle, from Mothers leactures, but that little bit helped when she attacked the infected one's eye. In the end the battle was won, but there was a great loss to Aanjay and her family. Two of her siblings had died in the battle, her mother was very weak from the damage she took, and could die soon, and Aanjay was sure she would die as well, blood flowed from her freely as she lay panting from pain and exhaustion, her single, clear eye glareing at the now dead male, vowing that if she lived she would never again fall prey to another. She did not like the feeling of being weak.
Not long after the battle two more of her sibings were infected, one recovered while the other died when the infection made him run off into a trench where he was ambushed by too many smaller beings to fend off. Mother died a season after the attack, something inside never healed quite right. She often grew winded more quickly then she did before the attack and an accidental fall damaged her again, causing her to die slowly, as she suffocated. The remaining sister, who had hidden in terror durning the battle, and the brother who recovered from infection, abandoned Aanjay after their mothers death. They said that Aanjay was dangerous, they didn't know who she was anymore and they were afraid of her. So from that day Aanjay has roamed mostly alone, heart broken that her family did not love her enough to understand her need to protect not only herself but them as well. She has few friends and even fewer enemies, for most who attack her ended up dead.
