Flipping around in her aquarium, Amphi was desperately missing her sister's...All of them. In fact being the only one here, she was most defenitly missing her aquatic kin. She had good friends though now, Xiu and Lizzy who she thought of with all the fondness she could manage. Almost akin to her sisters but still...
And like her sisters, She wanted to protect them with all her might. She couldn't though with her current abilities. In fact, she couldn't do much with her power. Though she had taken lessons in first aid, and had learned to muster her fear to heal fellow students, she was still lacking in battling over all. Her legs we're much stronger though and she had learned to coordinate with them.
It was time to learn how to fight with them. Getting out of the aquarium, she reached for her electronic eyephone, a gift from her sisters for landwalkers purposes and texted Lizzy. Once....It didn't take long for the phone to return the beep before Amphi stared at it quizzical. Lizzy had mentioned not herself but another Ghoul.Text from Lizzy Hey Amphi! I have a friend who would be perfect for you to meet! Her name is Hel and she's in the Reaper dorms right across from Mac. Just tell her you know me and I think she'll let you in...8D
Stepping into the Reapers dorms. Amphi took a quick look around, making sure a curly haired boil wasn't around (she wasn't sure just how to face him yet...) before making a quick dash to the room Lizzy had sent and....
"Okay Amphi, Buck up!" She wiped her hands before knocking on the door.

Hel had been busy at her loom, just working on another weaving as she heard the knock. The ghoul paused, her brows furrowing for a moment before she stood and wiped at her brow. Hmm…it was rare that she got a knock on her door! Who could it be? Mot usually came in right after he knocked…so it might not be him…hmmm, curious indeed…
Well, only one way to find out!
The valkyrie made her way over to the door and without hesitation, swung it wide open, a hand resting on her hips as she stared at who stood on the other side. Huh! Someone she had never met before! How curious. The ghoul tilted her head and raised a brow curiously. “Why hello!” She greeted cheerfully, eyeing the ghoul up and down. “How may I help you?” Maybe she was lost? She didn’t exactly look like she belonged here…

Amphi blinked as she looked at the ghoul before cocking her head. She wasn't really what she was expecting at first, especially in a reapers dorm. Wringing her hands together she offered the ghoul a small but shy smile.
"Um...He...Hello." She started off with a mumble before flushing and then clearing her throat. "I...I am not sure but Lizzy sent me here after I asked her a question..." She paused to pull out her phone before looking at it and then back to the Valkyrie. "Are you Hel?" Amphi looked over her again and took in the distungishing features.
Hel looked like two people pieced together, One side was light and one side was dark. Amphi took one more second to look before giving her a soft smile, "My name is Amphitrite, a Mermaid. I was wondering...well...um..." She flushed at her attempt at asking this ghoul. Could she just go around asking random favors?

The reaper happened to perk up immensely as the shy, soft spoken ghoul mentioned Lizzy, and a small grin pulled at her lips. “Lizzy sent you, eh?” She echoed warmly, resting both of her hands on her hips now. “I am Hel, ya!” She gave a firm nod of her head.
“It is a pleasure to meet you, Amphitrite!” Ah, a mermaid! Well, that made sense as to why she looked out of place here. “You were wondering…?” Hel encouraged, tilting her head as well. The reaper was pretty receptive towards the ghoul now. Not only had she mentioned Lizzy sending her here, but she seemed rather good natured as well, like Xiu! Hel was particularly drawn towards that…almost like she wanted to reach out and protect her already!

"Ah yes, Well Lizzy sent me!" She smiled as she looked at Hel before nodding her head. "Ah it's nice to meet you then Hel."
She waited a few seconds before bowing her head. "I was wondering if...if you'd be able to help me. I asked Lizzy if she knew anyone strong enough to teach me to battle..." She wrung her hands again before looking at Hel.
"I want to be strong enough to protect my friends that I made, and when I go home, to protect all my sisters." She nodded clenching her fist. "But I don't know anything about fighting or anything like that, and I only learned how to heal others." She began to fidget again. "Though, um if your busy, I won't bother you. I mean, I can come back.. I mean um." Ah man, there she went again. Rambling Amphi.

Hel’s grin widened, and she waited patiently for the ghoul to state her business. The reaper’s interested perked higher when battling was mentioned, and she gave an understanding nod of her head at Amphi’s intentions. “ Those are very good reasons to battle.” The ghoul approved, and then grinned even wider. “ Busy? No, not at all! I am never too busy to aid a fellow student in matters such as this.” As she spoke, Hel started to pull her boots on, and in no time the ghoul seemed ready to go. She stepped out into the hall, closing her door behind her, and then gestured to down the hall. “ Shall we, friend? We’ll go to a field that is not occupied and begin your training there!”

Amphi's eye's widened with surprise and well, underneath the surprise was a warm feeling of joy. Someone was praising her for the idea she came up with. With setting up a a goal for herself to work for. She was...so happy.
"I...What?" She smiled, joy absolutely written all over her face before placing a hand over her breast, "I...I didn't know if my conviction would be strong enough to garnish your attention...Oh I am so happy! I can't even put into words how much this helps me Hel." She reached over to the girl, doing what she hadn't done in awhile. She fully hugged Hel with everything she had before breathing in.
"Ahhh, I owe you such a big time Hel!" Amphi didn't even realize that her grammar was starting to fade, "When ever you need help, I'll do my best to return the favor." Amphi hugged Hel again before pulling back. A happy flush before nodding, suddenly serious.
"Do...Do I need anything special when we go? Do I need to make some stops?" She wrung her hands together again.

Honestly, the valkyrie looked a bit taken aback at how sincere and elated Amphi was about accepting her for training. It made the ghoul happy to see someone who was actually rather serious about training and apparently very grateful for it. The mermaid was just rising higher and higher in Hel’s book of approval. Hel blinked in surprised as she was hugged tightly, but soon after laughed as she wrapped her arms around the ghoul in return and gave her a warm squeeze. “ You are most welcome, friend! Like I said…anything to help out a fellow student.” Especially in times like these… “ Nah, you do not owe me a thing.” She replied cheerfully, chuckling as she was hugged once more. Hel grinned at the ghoul when she said she’d do her best to return the favor, and then started to walk down the hall so that they could leave, waving at the mermaid to follow her. “ No, we do not need anything special today…and if those are the clothes you do not mind getting dirty in, we can just head straight for a field!”

To say simply but, Amphi was getting pumped up. She was never one for fighting after all. She was never one to assign herself to physical labor or force in her convictions but...with the hunters as a new threat, and her graduation to second year, it was time to break the shell that was Amphi. When she received the hug back though, she smiled happily. It was like Lizzy and Xiu and her sisters. It felt like she was gaining another friend after all.
"Um...Hel...How come you keep calling me friend?" Amphi looked at her quizzically now, "I mean...I just met you but...I don't hear many landwalkers respond with such...um...er..closeness?" Amphi wasn't sure what she was trying to ask, "Are you sure its okay to be called your friend? or Friend?" She blinked before shaking her head.
"No no! I insist. I don't mind, it can be even the dirtiest jobs." Amphi clenched her fist with a dedicated look. "I swear that I will do at LEAST one good favor for you Hell, since you are doing a favor that will help me farther in the long run!" She nodded again before looking at her clothes. Nope, its not like she wore Landwalker clothes often either. "Ah nope, I don't mind at all....after all, I don't like the confines of Landwalker clothing so if they get dirty, it just means I can return to my aquarium and strip them off." She flushed at her phrasing before looking away, "I mean...Um....that wasn't suppose to sound so...um perverted." Tucking her hair behind her ear, she ducked her head again.

Hel seemed to be in a stellar mood, which was only fed by Amphi’s cheerful and positive attitude and excitement as well. As the ghoul made her way down the hall and started going down the stairs, she looked back up at the mermaid. “ Uh…” You know, this might have been one of the first times…er wait, no. Mac had asked her once too, why she did that. Let’s just say she hadn’t been asked that in a while! “ If you are not my friend, then you are my enemy…simple enough, ya?” Hel grinned up at the ghoul. “ I am more than certain it is okay to be considered a friend.” She continued down the stairs then. The valkyrie gave a short laugh at Amphi’s determination. Oh yeah, she liked this ghoul a lot. “ Heh, well, I will keep in mind, alright?” As she made her way down the three flights of stairs, she glanced over at the ghoul again, blinking before laughing once more. “ Ha! It is alright, really! No need to be embarrassed, because I am pretty certain I understand what you meant.” She grinned again, and soon enough was pushing the door open that led them outside. Hel hopped down the front steps and started walking out into the grass. “ Well, if you are all ready, we can begin…now, just so that I can gather an idea...do you have any battle knowledge at all?” If she needed to start with the basics, then she would!

Amphi cocked her head at the ghoul curiously before laughing. "Yes, I see now, I guess that makes sense." That was...a lot more simpler then she thought. She laughed honestly at the response and looked over. Hel seemed to be such a laid back ghoul. "I am more then certain it is indeed. I don't think I can handle being someone's enemy...besides the humans." She smiled again. "As long as you keep it mind yes. I don't mind doing a favor for...for a friend." Amphi flushed.
"Ah yes!" Hel was so understanding! It was like talking to Lizzy or Xiu again. She flushed as she clenched her fist. She really wanted to be friends with Hel too now. Another goal to do? Hel as a friend would be mighty fine after all.
At the question though, Amphi shook her head and sighed. "I didn't have my first experience with a battle until recently, and even then...I was caught...and I died." She could remember for just a brief moment of the flame that licked along her body, and then reassembling. "I've taken some open classes and I learned some um...Dance moves. So My legs are a lot stronger..." She patted the Landwalker legs before frowning, "And my kind starts to develop fangs that get longer with time. Their just growing now..." She smiled, longer canine teeth portruded before she covered them with her hand. "Though I don't know what good they could do in battle..."

Hel just grinned widely back at Amphi. Yes, a favor for a friend. That sounded really good indeed! She was happy as well that the ghoul seemed pleased by her logic. That just made it smoother! The reaper came to a stop once she reached the middle of the field and turned around, facing the mermaid as she rested her hands on her hips and listened. The valkyrie gave a sympathetic nod of her head, and observed Amphi’s attributes that she pointed out to aid her in battle. Hmm…Hel reached up to rub her chin thoughtfully. “ Well…first and foremost, anything of yours can be an aid in battle, alright?” She grinned a bit. “ If your teeth will get longer, than that is most excellent! I suppose we should work on building your leg strength as well, hm? Alright…first and foremost friend…we stretch. Always, always stretch before you train.” With that, the ghoul started to show the mermaid some stretching exercises. “ Is there some kind of battling…or certain techniques you would like to focus on…or just anything?”

"I ah...." She looked at her legs before mimicking Hel's stretching. Her tongue stuck out as she focused on relaxing her limbs for a workout before looking back to Hel.
"Well, I'm not a reaper so I can't really use a weapon...and usually when I am in a fight, the most I can do it throw stuff..." She flexed her arms before fleshing, "Though you...know...yeah...it usually doesn't do much."
Licking the tips of her teeth she flushed again..."Well...uh yes, they are suppose to get super long...but retractable so we don't scare our humans away before we eat them...." She played with the tip before thinking again.
"Well...I think I'd like to learn how to fight with my legs...." She patted them before nodding, "Landwalkers do this like...dance with their legs with...lots of spinning and...is it called kicking? and jumping..." Amphi tried to show Hel...Her leg extending...
"OHHHHH......." She said as she slipped to the ground before flushing...."I....think I pulled that off with much fail..."

The reaper nodded her head understandingly as she took Amphi through a variety of stretches, listening to the mermaid’s words. “ Ah, I think learning how to fight with your feet is a good goal!” She encouraged. “ Especially since they need work anyways…and of course, I shall show you how to block and even land blows with your hands…” Hel blinked as Amphi tried showing her, only to end up the ground. Hel chuckled, pausing to come over to the mermaid, where she held her hands out to help pull her back up. “ It is alright, friend. It is the effort that is important as well! We will work on your muscle strength through training and exercise, and over time and with hard work, I will make you a force to be reckoned with, that is a promise! Are you ready to begin?”

"Block? And fight with my hands too?" Amphi blinked before looking at them, "I don't think they would do so good yes? They aren't even trained for anything but....delicate things...I guess." She flexed them before smiling. "But if your going to show me...."
She flushed again as she hit the ground with a thud before rolling over and patting her bottom. Ow that really hurt....QAQ. She looked up with a small tear in her eye before taking the hand graciously before nodding.
"A force to be reckoned with?" She stared "You think you can actually do that!??!"
