The night was certainly starting to get warmer, bit by bit. Winter hadn't fully released its grasp on their corner of the world, but it wasn't as nippy some nights. Tonight's patrol wouldn't require a long hot shower to restore the feeling in her limbs at least.
As it was, Metis strolled peacefully through Central Park, keeping off the paths and for the most part away from the lamps. It was nice to just wander through the green auras, watch a few yellow ones dart around here and there. Most were faded, towards the edges of her sight, but it was relaxing to say the least. Her apartment was situated somewhat close to the park, allowing her some time to wander before she called up one of the other Asteroids for patrol. Mentally she was starting to run over who she should ring up this eve.
She was past the point of arguing with herself about this still technically being against the rules. She wasn't that far from home, and this wasn't an official patrol yet. It was a walk. Or at least that's what she convinced herself of after the first few times.
Empty space was outlined by the bouncing auras, a rock formation she recognized as she approached. Skirts and boots weren't good for climbing up onto the boulders, but once she abandoned her concern of looking like a fool while doing so she made her way shakily up. Once seated upon one of the flatter regions of one of the rocks, she looked around the area she and Raja sometimes ventured into. A smile lit her features as she imagined herself using the echolocation to find this outcropping and climbing up. Someday.
For now though, she arranged her skirts into something more dignified and breathed a content sigh. Few more minutes out here, and her indulging time would end, then she'd call someone up and head out on that real patrol.

********* had honestly been quite confused. She would have never thought she would have found this particular girl out by herself. Especially with the rules that were in place, and the most recent events proving that going out by oneself was potentially dangerous.
Yet there Metis was, cutting through the part in uniform.
Rather than call the brunette out for her actions, the feline instead approached in a casual trot. Her collar was warning enough that she was approaching, always jingling with even the simplest of movement. "There we go... I believe you are now ready for a patrol now that I am here, yes?"
Not that the blind girl would really be able to see it, but the feline chucked a wink at her after her commentary.

The sound of a bell reached her before she took much notice of the yellow energy. Metis cocked her head towards the sound before turning to look at the incoming figure. It was pretty easy to guess who her visitor was and she smiled and waved accordingly. Unless some other feline of such a familiar size donned a bell collar, her assumption was a safe one.
Sure enough, ********* spoke and the girl laughed. "You read my mind. I was just debating who to call." Not a lie. It was good though to have the guardian's company. Thinking on it, she couldn't recall ever being on patrol with *********. But of course the memory of the last time she'd seen ********* and youma in the same area... well.
It wasn't like Metis could deny there were some flaws to her "it's not a patrol" mindset.
She rose to her feet and hopped off the boulder, smiling in the guardian's direction. "Shall we be off then?" In her mind, she was debating what general route to take, assuming the roofs were a no-go. She was excited though. It'd been a while since she'd had time with just *********, not that she was especially shocked. With eight senshi, the guardian of the Asteroids had quite a few people to keep tabs on, never mind any other duties guardians had.
Something about that thought made her pause, biting her lip for a moment as one hand clasped her arm behind her back. "*********. This is... a random question, but. How did you know Iris, the others, and myself, that we were yours?" Of course she understood that they were the Asteroids. It hadn't been something she'd ever really questioned, and over time it simply... felt right. But curiosity was as it was.

Once the girl was at a level that the round animal could reach, she trotted over to her ankles and wove herself about them, rubbing up her face against the pale colored boots. She was about to approve of the idea of heading off with a simple "Sure, let's go!" but then the brunette asked a question.
A damned good question if anything!
One that ********* never truly had an answer for herself. She had suspicions, but aside from that, she didn't really have an answer.
"...To be honest... I don't really know..." the cat confessed in just as cheery a tone as ever. She offered a giggle before adding onto her confession. "It just felt right... and I just knew the names... I could see your symbols and knew the names... I don't truly know why I did... I mean, I have suspicions... but I don't truly know for certain why I knew all of you as my girls before meeting you..."
Finishing up with her adoration all over Metis' boots, the cat sat herself down on top of the girl's left toes of her boot.

Brown locks drifted to the side as Metis cocked her head. Suspicions? Pale eyes were directed towards the source of the yellow energy that emanated out, bouncing off her own copper and off the empty space that was the boulder. Was it only instinct then, that largely brought the feline to them that night by Medowview? The same instinct that told her what words to say when she drew on her magic in a fight? The words, information just... there.
Her lips pursed slightly. She wasn't sure what she thought of that.
"What sort of suspicions then~?" Trying to not jostle the tiny cat on her boot, she leaned forward so her hands could rest on her knees. It would be rude to not bring herself back down a little to the cat's level if they were just standing for a moment longer.

From her spot on Metis' boot, the cat spouted out "I have been told that the senshi were a part of the Silver Millenium... I have heard of some senshi regaining memories by visiting their homeworld of the past..."
There was a pause before the manx added "...wait... have you ever been to your asteroid before?"

The Silver..? Oh. Metis' brow furrowed, trying to recall what she knew of this previous era. Not much came to mind, though she could have sworn she'd heard it mentioned now and then. But... senshi regaining memories..?
That she was certain she would have remembered!
"No, I haven't. Never." Her tone took on a slightly wistful edge on the last breath, though she recovered and blinked pale eyes down towards the cat. "Would I be able to breath there as I had in space?" She still didn't understand how that all had worked out. But it had. And she could only assume if others were able to go to their namesakes, then she would have most definitely heard if oxygen tanks were necessary accessories or not. Still. Never hurt to ask. "How would I even get up there?" Turning her eyes skyward was useless. She'd tried, often, to see if her vision could pick up the celestial bodies above them. Nothing ever came to her, only darkness. So she instead kept her vision on *********, curious just how much her friend knew of the subject.

The manx glanced about, as if checking the surroundings briefly.
"We need to fix this! Let's go now!" With a giggle, she pawed at Metis' boots a bit, as if to encourage the girl to pick her up.
However, before she was picked up, she was already spouting out information that had been requested. "Senshi are magical beings, so you are quite safe in space... no need for space suits and the what not. And we don't even need rockets! Just phones!"
