Going to Taco Skull with Miss Danny had not been the best adventure he had ever had. She had looked happier when she had left, but Yin could not help but feel like he had botched things, or at least, he was not the one to make things better.
So once again he was in front of her door. He knocked but there was no answer. And her door? Slightly ajar. Well, not really, but it had not been latched properly and it had opened slightly from the pressure of his knock. So, slightly worried he knocked a bit harder, causing the door to open. Oh, he was not opening the door. He was knocking.
And what he say from the doorway made him pause. Miss Danny was on her bed, but beside her was a suitcase. "Oh Miss Danny I...I..." How to explain that he was just walking into her room? "I uh...did not know that you were going on a trip."

Danny on the other hand was busy being curled up in a blanket. Yin could have pranced around in a tutu for all she cared. It wasn't like she was goin to see him after this anyways. Maybe he had more homework to give? Wouldn't that be a laugh.
She sat up from her spot on the bed to face the mantis boil. Od how he looked so different, even though she'd seen him on a little while ago. He didn't look like Yin anymore, he looked like Yin a boil she had once met at her old school. After all, come moning she wasn't a part of Amityville anymore.
"I'm not going on a trip. I'm leaving Yin."

Miss Danny was sitting up and facing him, without yelling at him to get out so he approached until he was standing only a couple of meters away. Then she spoke and he stood there as the words soaked in.
She was leaving. Not on a trip, she was leaving. Miss Danny, the first ghoul he had ever felt comfortable around. Miss Danny, the ghoul who had literally ran into him and had just pulled him along, out of his comfort zone because he was with a ghoul. The ghoul that had given him Princess Eva. Who had protected him and carried him when he was sick and weak due to the snow.
And she was leaving.
"No," he told her quite firmly. "No you are not."
He did not care what her reasoning was, he did not approve. He was telling a ghoul no. He took a couple of steps forward and started pulling things out of her suitcase to put away.

Danny looked at Yin listlessly. She didn't even try to get him to stop yanking things out of her bag. It was funny, Danny couldn't remember the last time Yin had said no to her.
"I'll put those back in later then," she said, avoiding his eyes. Anything but his eyes. Her hands pulled the blanket a little closer. She would not shake. She would NOT shake. She would hold herself together and let Yin rembrr her as happy.
"I mean it though," she said, still looking at the suitcase, "I'm going to Griswalda's... Something something. I'll be happy." The way she said it made her sound more like she was reassuring herself than Yin. If she thought she'd be happy, her emptions completely betrayed her.

There was something wrong with Miss Danny, and it was obvious. She was clutching at the blankets and refusing to look at him and talking about leaving. He would stand by for most things, but this was too much.
He began racking his brain. Ghouls 101, 201, 301, 401, 501...it was really the only steady class he had grown up with, though they did not call it as such. So a ghoul is having a bad day. He did not have anything to feed her or offer her as food, nor did he have a gift for her. He was not musically talented, other than being able to somewhat carry a tune.
He plucked up a change of clothing that he had taken out of her suitcase and disappeared, turning into her kitchen and out of sight. He then looked until he found the bathroom, laid the fresh clothing on a shelf, and began to run a bath. Lava poured out of the faucet and he looked at it for a moment but shrugged before going back to get Miss Danny.
"You have class to attend, and no time to be wasting on Griswalda, whoever that may be. It is time for you to get cleaned up." He pulled the blanket back with a sudden motion and pointed to the other room. "Your bath is being run Miss Danny."

Danny gave a sharp bark as the blanket was all but ripped from beneath her. She frowned and said, "Griswalda's isn't a person, it's a place." Very matter-of-factly, she crossed her arms, and pointedly went in the opposite direction Yin was pointing.
"I'm leaving Amitville Yin. Tomorrow," she said, looking at the ground. Truthfully, Danny didn't want to leave either, but she couldn't really tell Yin that. She couldn't tell anyone that. She just had to do it.
Maybe at her new school, she'd make other friends. True, Danny had never really gotten along with many ghouls. No scratch that, Danny had never gotten along with ANY ghouls. Michi, maybe. Bea, maybe.
Not in the same way Roch, Yin, Rikki, Demi-
Danny stopped that line of thinking immediately. She wasn't going to see them any more. They could still be friends on groanspring and what not, but not real friends. Not hanging out in dorms, not going to Taco Skull-
Oh jackdammit the shaking had started again.

The poor fire demon was hallucinating. She thought she was leaving the school. And she was shaking, definitely a sign of a serious illness.
He leaned over and scooped her up in his arms, holding her close to his chest as he carted her off to the other room, not really caring if she protested. He did not really trust her to stand and take care of herself so he just put her into the tub as gently as he could without getting touching the lava and turning away quickly. If she did not have fireproof clothing she would just have to use the ones he had left for her.
"When you are finished I will be waiting in the other room." He shut the door and fled to the other room to unpack the rest of her things. Was the mantodae in denial? Definitely.

Danny didn't have any time to react as Yin picked her up and carried her towards the bathroom. She squabbled and squawked the entire way there, but Yin's hold remained true. Even Danny couldn't fight back.
Then he dunked her in the bathtub, clothes and all. She came up to the surface of the lava, hair sopping, clothes slightly singed (due to the fact that she was wearing one of her mother's dresses that had now become a shirt...). Most importantly a frown had creased across her face.
Did Yin not even care that she was leaving? He seemed to believe nothing was going on at all. Maybe it really didn't matter if she left.
Not bothering to change clothes, Danny walked out of the bathroom in her dress-now-shirt and underwear... And not much else. Not that it mattered to her. Clothes were a pain anyways. "Yin I mean it!" she shouted, walking into the room. "I'M LEAVING SO STOP IT!" she screeched.

Yin had now decided that this was probably a dream. He had no idea why he would dream about Miss Danny trying to leave, or how he knew it was a dream and was still dreaming, but he was just going to accept it.
"You are dripping lava on the floor," he pointed out. Oh, he knew this shirt, it went in the closet. He walked over to hang it up before turning back to the fire demon. "Of course you are not leaving," why was he even reasoning with her in his dream? "The Miss Danny that I know would not just leave because of some boil saying something stupid. Besides, if she wanted to leave she knows she would have to kill me to get through the door."

Danny held her tongue with Yin's comment. The logic really hit home for Danny. Was she was just leaving because a boil had said something ... ?
But no! Roch had left too. She could understand Rikki, but Roch ... Roch hit too close. Her heart clenched up all over again as she argued, "It's not- ... It's not because of Rikki!" Even she didn't believe the words coming out of her mouth. It was because of Rikki, but it was more than that, it really was.
"Roch left too," she continued, holding her sides awkwardly. This was hard to her to say, but she said it anyways. "People keep leaving me ... Yin I'm tired of it." She paused for a moment, then for a final time said, "I'm leaving."

"Roch is not coming back?" That sounded...odd. He was not exactly displeased if he was quite honest with himself. Well, she had a reason, and not one that he would come up with. He was beginning to question if this was actually a dream after all.
He turned away, not really wanting to look at her before he spoke up, throat oddly tight and sounding just a little bit...off.
"You are...you are leaving m---Miss Danny? There is so little here that you do not wish to stay? Or is it that they are there and you are leaving to go to them?"

"No!" she said, seeing the mantis clench up in the same way she did. "Yes? I don't know." This was getting way too complicated for her.
With a sigh, she leaned back against her orange wall, arms still crossed insecurely. She looked up at the ceiling as though the answer would just come crashing down, but of course it didn't.
It wasn't so much that she wanted to leave ... She just didn't want to be HERE.
Danny took a tentative step towards Yin. "People keep leaving me," she said, repeating her earlier sentiment, "Rikki doesn't like me. Roch doesn't like me," her voice cracked as she said Roch, "Why should I stay? I'm just going to end up annoying everyone. Even You." She shot him a wary glance and instantly regretted it. No eye contact was better.

"I thought..." he thought what? That they were friends? That a ghoul could and would actually be friends with a boil? "I thought we were friends," he said quietly, staring at some spot on her wall.
"I know I am not the same as Rikki or Roch, but I am not leaving Miss Danny. And if I do I shall come back. I know I am nothing worth making someone stay, but I do not wish for you to go." He really did not know what else to say, he was just a boil after all.
He turned to her, determined to at least get one more statement in. "Please do not go Miss Danny."

Danny's eyes widened in alarm. Oh no, that wasn't what she meant at all. Ahhh s**t she did it again!
"No, no I didn't mean it like that Yin," she said, immediately crossing the room to sit on the bed next to him. She looked at her hands as she spoke, not sure how to explain it. "We are friends ... It's just ... "
It's just what? It's just that my boilfriend broke up with me and my best friend left me? Danny threw her face into her hands, shaking again. "Yin I'm so scared that everyone will leave me," she began once more, her true feelings finally beginning to surface, "I'm not pretty, I'm not smart-" She shot him a look that just dared him to disagree, "I annoy everyone, I never do anything right." She was digging her hole deeper, "I'm not easy to live with- I know I'm not." Though she seemed quite oblivious most of the times, she knew people didn't always like being around her. She understood the looks, having received them enough.
She took a deep breath to try and clear her thoughts. "But I never thought Roch would leave me. Rikki maybe, but not Roch. I thought ... I thought Roch was my best friend." She took another deep breath, which turned into a sob. Her mind decided it was time to unload everything.

Yin really, really, really wished that he knew what to do in circumstances like this. He sat down next to her and after a quick glance at the door to make sure it was shut and to confirm that yes, they were alone, he put an arm around her shoulders. All he knew was that when he was a ghoul hugs had been one of the best things that had ever happened, and if it helped Miss Danny any than he was just going to have to shove some of his personal boundaries aside and give her a hug. An awkward, one-armed side-hug but it was a hug nonetheless.
"Miss Danny I cannot account for anyone else but we are friends, and I am not abandoning you. Maybe you should wait and talk to Roch before you decide anything. I am...not very good with friendships. They are strange to me still, but I know that sometimes even the best of friends can have misunderstandings and everything will work out alright in the end. Perhaps you should give Roch a chance to explain himself, or you might actually be abandoning him."
