Everything still felt kind of awkward. Mostly the height. He certainly wasn't used to being this tall, through he certainly didn't dislike it.
Meant he could actually pick his own peaches, for the most part.
And that was exactly what he'd done today, headed outside his rooms and away from his mother's fussing, grapped some fruit in passing, and was heading toward a teahouse to settle in for a bit and write.

Adi scowled down at the scrap piece of leather in her hands, turning it this way and that as though looking at it from a different angle would make her attempts at embroidering it look any better. It wasn't working, sadly, but a distraction soon presented itself when she caught sight of someone walking out of the corner of her eye.
Wait. That hair color was very familiar. The werewolf tilted her head to the side and squinted at the figure. It couldn't be, could it? Frowning, she fell in behind him, sniffing. It smelled like him, so it had to be her cousin! But he was so big, and he hadn't been that big before! And it wasn't like her...she'd grown fast, but not that fast! It was like he'd just done it all of a sudden instead.
All this flashed through her mind in half a moment before she squealed and ran at him with full intention of jumping on the god. "Kios~!"
She couldn't just hug him - this was too exciting for just a hug!

One second, all had been nice and quiet.
The next, Lament had to catch a flying Adrienne.
Needless to say, he failed. Maybe if he'd been more used to his new body, he might have stood a chance. He did drop the peach and open his arms to catch, but...
Yeah. Adrienne crashed into him and down the both of them went.
"Oof ! Adi, what are you doing ?!" Even his voice was different. "I can't catch you like that !" Thankfully neither werewolf or god seemed hurt.

Piled on top of him and laughing unrepentantly, Adi had a moment to notice a few things about her newly-grown cousin. Things like his voice was different, he had cool purple markings all over his face, and his hair was longer. And he was kind of cute, actually - in a grown-up way, not a kid one. And shirtless. She looked thoughtful for a moment while she processed and adjusted to all these things.
"Oops?" The werewolf grinned, her tail wagging fiercely behind her. She had yet to show any inclination to actually move, though. "You look big enough to catch me!"

"You don't look the slightest bit sorry." Oh, Adi.
Through, now he had a secret weapon, kind of. One hand rose to rub against her white fur, strongly enough that it left an ashy trail in it's wake. Well ! He'd been leaving ash all over the place recently, so he might as well do it on purpose.
"Oh." He pouted. "Oops."
He didn't look the slightest bit sorry, either. All in jest, really.

"Should I be?" Adi stuck out her tongue, but was quickly distracted when her rubbed his hand in her fur. She definitely wasn't expecting that! Nor was she expecting it to be sort of a nice, in a weird way...but hey, now she was dirty! Er, ashy. Why did he have ashy hands?
"You're gonna have to do better than that," she declared. "It's just dirt. Gray dirt."
She didn't give him a chance to do better yet, though, since it was now her 'turn' to retaliate. She immediately seized upon the most obvious way to do so by trying to grab his fancy veil and run off with it.

"I doubt it's very polite to jump a god." He stuck his own tongue back at her. Of course she didn't care, and really, he didn't care either, as long as it was just them.
But then she snatched his veil and ran off. "Hey ! Adi ! Give that back !" He was up on his feet awkwardly, which meant the little werewolf had a good head start.
"Please !" Pleading ? Maybe. But if he wrecked his veil, Tasia was going to kill him. Then he'd have to be a gem. He wasn't sure he wanted to try that experience.

Adi's only answer was to laugh as she ran, although she was also very careful with Lament's veil - it was funny to take it, but it would not be funny to mess it up. That would be mean, and besides, it was pretty. She skidded to a stop before long, since her intent had been largely to tease, which didn't require running all the way into the forest or anything so drastic.
She turned to look back at him until he caught up and, unable to resist, put the veil on in the meantime. "What do you wear this for, anyway? Doesn't it get in the way?"

And catching up took quite a bit - given that poor Akakios seemed more skilled at nearly (and not-so-nearly) tripping all over himself than actually running.
He did finally catch up, and was planning to give her a gentle yet firm earfull for it - that is, until he saw her. It started with a barely restrained giggle, but eventually broke down into a full on laugh. "Y-You look ridiculous !"
Really, she did ! It didn't fit her, at all. He moved to retrieve his veil, careful not to pull at her hair and ears in the process. "It was a gift, from my aoide." Well, the first aoide that was truly his, at any rate. Ianthe was nice, and he liked him... But it wasn't the same, really. If he hadn't been his father's son, he might never have come to him. "She's... the first person that truly believed in me. In a god-way."
He then put it back on, just as gently. "The hair gets in the way more, actually." He wasn't sure why he had so much of it ! His hair was nearly as long as his mother's, really.

"That's a funny thing to give to someone." Why give someone something to cover their face with? "It's good that you have her, though."
"I like you better without it," she informed him - because her opinion should matter, obviously - as he took it away and put it back on himself. "You can see the stuff on your face better."
When he mentioned his hair, Adi circled 'round to the back of him to get a better look at it...and touch it, of course. It was pretty! "If you don't like it, you could cut it. Or do something with it to get it out of your way."

Maybe it felt silly to Adi, but to him it had felt perfectly right, and not simply because it was a veil. It was like if, somehow, Tasia had imparted her own love and devotion onto it.
"Im not too sure where they came from, actually..." Neither his father or his mother had face-markings. Perhaps it was something that was sorely of him, which was exciting.
But what the werewolf said next made him pause. He actually hadn't stopped to think about it, or about much of anything about all the changes, really. Did he like it ? "I do like it... It just gets in the way. I guess I just have to tie it back sometime ? It's just... strange." He did suddenly have a lot more hair to deal with, after all.

"I like them." The marks emphasized his eyes even more, which had already been pretty cool.
"There is an awful lot of it," she noted, eyeing it appraisingly. "You could braid it, that would keep it from getting tangled. That's good to do when you sleep, too, actually." Though Adi didn't usually do much with her hair - she liked the feel of it loose - it was fun to do things with it sometimes.

"Hmmm, maybe... I've never made a braid this long, through." Or at the back of his head. He knew how to braid, of course, as proved by the ones he wore even now. "I bet Tasia can braid hair..."
Yes. The most pressing need for his aoidei was apparently to take care of his hairs. Perhaps some servants would be jealous if they actually knew of this.
He hadn't had time yet to reach out, to plan, and to decide what he truly would become. In a way, he still saw the world with the eyes of a child.

"Same thing, just takes a little longer." Leaving her investigation of his hair, Adi went back to facing him. "So how do you like being grown-up?"
She was eager to hear his answer - after all, how many other people knew what it was like to be a kid and then not over such a short period of time compared to what everyone else was used to?

Hm. Well. That wasn't the easiest question, really. "I like being taller." Oh, he definitively liked being taller, no contest here. "I don't... feel that much different otherwise ? Well, beside the obvious." And maybe the slightest bit more mature, through he didn't really notice.
"You didn't grow that fast didn't you ?" He asked, curious. "I just... it just happened." It was so hard to explain, really !
