Alexa was out in the plains with Masked Socks. She was working on training the Eevee and also getting her to quit rushing into things. However the training wasn't going very good. Masked Socks was too busy rushing off and running through the tall grasses. For what seemed like the hundredth time Alexa was yelling at Masked Socks. "Socks! Get back here! I mean it! Stop chasing the Pidgeys! Socks!"
Masked Socks heard her trainer call out but she didn't care. This was adventure! She darted through the grass scaring up any Pidgeys that were roosting on the ground. "Vvveeeee!" She yipped. She rush towards a group of Pidgeys and made them fly into the sky. She then paused to listen to Alexa and then went right back to chasing the Pidgeys.

Kwatoko had left his trainer napping by a tree and went to explore. He was rather bored again and hoped to find something remotely interesting to do. He was wandering through the grass and noted a large amount of Pidgey's around and halfway considered challenging one to a fight

Kwatoko was just about to challenge a Pidgey when a Eevee popped out of nowhere and scared off the flock, he jumped having been startled as well and blew a jet of fire at the pokemon in self-defense.

Masked Socks pounced at some Pidgeys sending even more into flight. She then trotted around the area with her head and tail held high. She paused seeing an odd colored bird that was not a Pidgey. She crouched down and wiggled her butt that was still up high. She then pounced forward hoping to send this strange bird up in the air too. "VVVVVVEEEEEEE!"
Alexa grew tired of calling for Masked Socks and began following after her. It wasn't hard to track where the Eevee was. All she had to do was follow the trail of flying Pidgeys. She finally caught up and saw Socks trying to pounce a Torchic. It was a very oddly colored one but it was very cool looking. "Ooooooohhhhh! A Torchic!"

Since Masked Socks was in the process of trying to pounce the Torchic she got burned by the Flamethrower. She let out a yelp of pain and backed away. Her eyes narrowed and immediately attacked with Facade.
Alexa moved back a few steps when the Torchic began to attack. "Whoa! Socks be careful!"

"Socks dodge it!" Alexa shouted when she saw the Torchic go to use a fighting type move. Why did normal types have to be weak against fighting.
Masked Socks tried to dodged but still got kicked. She staggered a little and let out a low growl. She then lunged and attacked with Facade again.

Masked Socks was still stumbling past Kwatoko when she was kicked again. Whipping around she quickly attacked using Facade once more. "Vvvveeeee!"
"Come on Socks! You can do it!" Alexa cheered.

Kwatoko was knocked back by the attack but bounced right back to his feet " toooor..." he growled and kicked up a rock and launched it at Socks.

"Use Dig Socks!" Alexa called. She winced when Socks was still hit with the rock.
Masked Socks was in the process of digging a hole when she was hit with the rock. She continued on and soon was underground. She quickly tunneled under Kwatoko and popped up from underneath.

Masked Socks fell down when kicked again. She struggled to get up and would have kept trying to go if not for her trainer.
Alexa quickly stepped forward and pulled out Socks ball. She recalled the should-be-fainted Eevee. Socks just didn't know when to quit. She then walked towards the Torchic and crouched down. "You're quite good at battling." She reached a hand out for him to sniff so she could pet him, "You don't look like a wild pokemon..... I hope your trainer is nearby. You took some hard hits and should be healed."

Kwatoko peered cautiously at the offered hand at her. His feathers still ruffled in aggression from the battle but he curiously pecked at her hand. He had no fear of humans, though was more comfortable around the dark-skinned people of the tribe.
