It was nice to relax every now and then, and that was what Kimaji was doing. Late afternoon and the sun was just beginning to set, which made the sky a rather nice shade of orange and red and pink. She sat with her back against a tree and her hind paws before her, perhaps a strange position for a lion. But it was nice, and she was comfortable.
She had actually just woken up a few hours ago, so didn't have any immediate plans to find shelter to sleep. Watching the sunset was, ironically, her way to start the day, it seemed.

He had been told once or twice that his pelt was that of the sunset. Though he was willing to bet he was far less pretty. Sometimes he liked just watching the clouds, and then sometimes he liked to avoid them. (In the case of thunderstorms.)
He was happily walking, to nowhere in particular. He was going to find a good meal later, but until then he was just going to walk. Maybe he would think of something to eat as he did. Unlike the lioness, he was the type to sleep during the evening hours. It was a good way of hiding that bright pelt of his . But today, he had just decided to do something different.

She was rather happy just relaxing a bit, just drinking in the pleasant moment. Some days Kimaji didn't like being alone, and desperately wanted to go home, but days like today she was quite fine and happy. Sometimes quiet was good!
But she broke the silence as soon as she saw the lion, who just happened to walk past. It was funny, because at first she hadn't even noticed him, and then he moved and she realized it wasn't just the colors of the sunset. The gray lioness giggled, perhaps audibly enough for him to hear, and covered her muzzle with a paw. Who'd have thought, a lion that looked like the sunset!

The male perked his ears when she giggled, and his pink eyes directed towards the female that had laughed. He smiled, obviously a bit confused. Taking a nod towards her in greeting he allowed himself to step closer. He tried not to go too close, he didnt want to scare her. Though she didnt seem like she was scared of him at all.
"I'm sorry, girlie. Please tell me that I didn't invade personal space or something." He spoke, and put a paw to his chest.
"They call me Chap. My name is a lot longer, but Chap does the trick." He winked.

Oops, she hoped she hadn't offended him, or anything. Kimaji had really only been laughing at the irony. But when the lion approached he didn't seem upset at all, so she returned his smile. "No, you're not." It was a bit funny that he would worry about such a thing.
"Chap? Okay. Nice to meet you! I'm Kimaji." She decided she best sit up properly, and so unstuck her back from the tree and sat in a more normal lion position.

It was almost impossible to offend Chap. No really.. he just didn't have much of a care in the world, and people getting on his nerves just didn't happen. He half wondered if it was even possible.
"Pleasure is mine, Kimaji." He said with a bow of his head and a soft smile. She had a soft grey pelt, one that made him look over her markings in fondness. Much more subtle than the bright pelt he carried around.
"So.. What is it you were doing, before I heinously interrupted?" He asked, a teasing tone to his voice as he grinned.

He seemed nice, and Kimaji liked nice lions, so she was quite fine with chatting with him for a bit. It's not like she had anywhere to be! "I wasn't really doing anything, I guess. I just woke up." She half-explained, because many lions did laze about a bit right after they woke up. Except Corellon, she could never think of him as lazy!
"Are you from a pride?" She tilted her head, wondering if she had somehow trespassed on pridal lands, because that happened sometimes. Kimaji could be rather distracted.

He nodded when she said that she had just woken. He supposed he should have assumed that. If he wasn't as bored as he was, he likely would have been soaking in the sun too. But his instincts drove him on, to a destination unknown.
"Ah, I am not." He said at her question. He had thought of joining a few a time or two. But he found he liked that sense of freedom he got from being able to go where he wanted. Though he found it could be extremely lonely the longer he went.
"What about you?"

"Oh." She was glad she hadn't trespassed on anyone's land, but somehow it was a little disappointing, too. Maybe she could have met other pride members, if they were all friendly like this lion. Could have been fun!
"I guess not, either." She had a home once, but hadn't been there in years. The small gray lioness wondered what had become of it, particularly someone who lived there. She wondered what was keeping her from hurrying over and finding out. Maybe shame, or fear.
"So I guess we're just two rogues!" A silly statement, but Kimaji was a silly lioness.

Chap did not mind the silliness. If anything he welcomed it. He was the same, never really cared to be too serious. It simply allowed no room for fun. But sometimes he knew, that it was quite needed in certain situations. Thankfully this wasn't one of them, and that caused him to smile.
"So it would seem! I am rather happy to have run into another rogue. I wasn't looking to cause any stirs by wandering on anyone's lands." He chuckled, and his tail his his legs as it flicked back and forth.

She nodded, Kimaji could get that! Though she'd been fortunate enough not to get into direct contact with anyone malevolent, she had once or twice been forced to steer clear of some lands. No one had ever gotten close enough to attack her, but even Kimaji wasn't about to wait around if someone dangerous looking started coming over!
"Mmmhm. But some places are nice to visit." Maybe she should visit the Pridelands again, after fidnign out what had happened back at home.

"Indeed they are.." He mused. He sat for a moment, just enjoying having company of any kind. Before he stood again and bowed his head. He didn't want to leave yet, he didn't get to talk to enough people to make the social butterfly happy.. But today.. He hadn't even had dinner yet. His belly grumbling it's dismay, he knew she would hear eventually. "I'm sorry to cut this short, Kimaji. If I wasn't so hungry, I'd stay here with you and continue chatting. Maybe we will meet again?" He asked, and chuckled. He turned and began heading back from where he came. He had seen a herd of gazelle back there, and he was going to make the most of it.
