This diagram is representative of how much of a soul is contained in different level spirits in comparison to a living person.
Soul = orange
Characteristics in relation to spirt level:
1.) no soul
2.) level 0 - They have absolutely no memories or sense of who they are. Their outlook is like that of a small child who is constantly learning about the world. They can learn and develop a mild personality but they can never fully develop an identity for themselves.
3.) level 3 - Now the spirit has a pretty solid personality but they still have no recollection of their past beyond when they manifested. Their outlook is like a 12 year old and they begin to wonder where they came from and who they are. They subconsciously start to crave to become more human.
4.) level 4 - This level is much more solid. The now have a very defined personality, many new memories of who "they" were, and a strong sense of identity. In this level, their state of mind can range from that of a child to that of a wise adult and even to that of an animal- It all depends on whose soul they absorb. They also consciously crave to become more human (or have a full soul) and the quest to acquire strong dormant lanturns is always in the back of their mind whether they talk about it or not.
5.) human - full soul - can have conflict if they absorb lanturns. (more to come later?)
Can a spirit obtain this level? We're not sure yet...
note: Dormant lanturns do increase the amount of soul a spirit has, but only a little.
