Cosine carried the book back from the depths of the library, lugged might be a better word. It seemed heavier now than when she had found. She was a mess too, not that she noticed. She never noticed when she was on a mission. Covered in dust and no doubt cobwebs. The library renovations had not gotten as far as her records store.
As she reached Ankou's door she turned and pushed it open with her back. There was no way she'd be able to carry the book with one hand. "Ankou?" She called out as she wandered through to the main rooms. "You here?" with a oof, she dumped the book on the coffee table, more dust flew up into her face, triggering yet another coughing fit.

He was starting to get a little restless, really. Restricted to smaller trips, more grounded to the pantheon while Cosine sought out which world they actually needed to go to to find the place she had 'seen'.
Still, he needed to be easily accessible when that happened... And he knew better than to actually go with her in the library - he'd be a distraction more than anything else, through the thought of running into Endiovar again wasn't an unattractive one... He could have been close and yet out of Cosine's hairs, and Silence would probably keep him busy.
He'd been pondering this while idly carving a piece of wood, but now the point seemed moot - Cosine's voice was easy enough to identify, and he peeked out of one of the side rooms just in time to watch the book get dumped.
That poor coffee table. And she'd been lugging that thing for how long, exactly ?! "You could have called me." He blinked, staring at the book.
"I take it you found something ?"

"This is rebirth remember, goddess liberation and all that. I am perfectly capable of carrying a gigantic tome." She teased as she brushed some hair out of her face, smearing the dust across her forehead. "I did indeed." She grinned like a child at christmas and opened the book up. "Aparently I have a stash of records down there, anything you can imagine. There was an aoide down there too ... she worked for me once, she said." Cosine shook her head in amazement and flicked through the crisp pages. "I found the name of the world and a possible location for the temple."

...He'd thought the whole thing had been about not allowing her to hide behind anyone or anything again, really, not about allowing her to lug heavy tomes across the pantheon, but well... alright then.
This was good news. This meant action - something he was definitively more skilled at than waiting, or going through huge tomes such as this.
"Oh ?" He was interested, through. Records and an aoide... If these had been written by her hand, before the fading, then who knew what secrets might be hidden in there ?
He came closer to peek over her shoulder, not minding either dust nor cobwebs. "Can you show me ?"

"Of course." Cosine glanced up at him with a smile before turning her eyes back to the tome. "There were several volumes. They document my temples, or what were my temples. In all the different worlds. It is a truely amazing thing. Though i do not think it was penned by me, a servant? Perhaps I had scribes." She shrugged and ran her finger down the page. "Here, the name of the world is Kurakami ." she turned the page to show a map. "the name of the town is Inabata. The temple is in the forest." she glanced up to him again. "Will that help us?"

"That wouldn't surprise me, really." The idea of her having scribes made sense. Even if not written by her, it was still quite an amazing fount of information she had there.
She sounded so sure of it - maybe had a spark of memory at reading those words, had seen something related to them in her vision ? Still, he trusted her completely.
"I've been there." He said. "Well, in that world. The city, maybe..." He didn't usually take notes of cities unless he needed to, for a reason or another.

"You've been there?" She smiled, feeling excitement mixed with anticipation at the thought of their impending journey. "So it should be simple enough to get there then, through the doors? Though of course I do not know what state the world will be in when we get there. But I am sure we can deal with it."

"Yes, I've been there." Easy enough to find it again, really - once he knew where to find something, he remembered. Even if not, then... Well, it would simply have taken a little longer as he would have needed to look and find, first.
World-walking would have been even more easier, but... right, right. The mortals. If Cosine wanted to bring them back here, then world-walking wouldn't work too well.
He'd just have to make sure the Door didn't close, then.
"I've seen worse. There are still cities and civilizations standing, and the survivors group together and do their best to rebuild. They tend to be a little suspicious of outsiders, through." But he had a plan for that. If he could change his shape, surely Cosine could, as well ?
If she couldn't, well, surely there would be other ways to find out what they sought.

Cosine nodded and closed the book, sending another waft of dust up into the air. "I need to get my aoide down there for a spring clean." She muttered as she watched the tiny flecks of dirt fall to the floor. "Yes we'll have to do our best to convince them they mean no harm. But I'm sure we will have no big problems." She looked down at her black fingers. "Do you wand to get moving soon? I am worried that if we leave it too long they might be in more danger. Especially in light of the grigori still being on the loose."

Ankou raised his hand to try to shield himself from the mini-dust storm, and while his eyes were spared, his nose wasn't - he sneezed, rather comically at that.
"Definitively." She needed a spring clean as well, he belatedly noticed, giving an amused grin. "I am sure Anima will be happy to help if you ask her." Heck, sometimes he wonder who the demoness preferred serving - him, or Cosine. Not much lost in the grand scheme of things, so he simply let the aoide do as she pleased, as he had no immediate need of her.
...Was that really a serious question ? He really wasn't certain. He'd been ready what felt like eons ago. "As soon as possible." He nodded. "Through... perhaps after a bath, no ?" He said, teasing.

"Are you saying I need a bath?" She gave him a bit of a comical look and resisted the urge to wipe some dust on him. She hadn't really noticed how messy she was getting, then again she never did. "Okay, bath, hmm different clothes perhaps and then we'll get moving I promise." She grinned and turned to face him."Sound good?"

"Maybe..." He said, expression turning impish. "Through it does little to diminish your beauty, I assure you."
"Yes, that sounds good. I can gather supplies in the meantime."

Cosine snorted with laughter and gave him a playful smack to the shoulder. "Flattery will get you everywhere. But that sounds like a good idea. I'll get cleaned up, you get our things together and we'll get moving."
She stood on tiptoes to give him a peck on the cheek and turned to go and get sorted out.
~~~
Cosine took a long soak in her bath and changed into some of the clothes she had borrowed from Isra and Jessica. Trousers and a pretty nomadic shirt. It felt strange to not be wearing a dress, but these would be more practical if they had to walk quite far. She laced up a pair of boots that Jessica had given her and tied her hair back so that only her charms dangled loose to the left of her face.
She packed some spare clothes into a pack just incase and a couple of other things. Notebook, pencil and abacus. Again, you never knew what might come in useful.
"Okay, I'm ready." She smiled as she wandered back through to Ankou's rooms.
"But what when it isn't flattery, but the truth ?" He winked at her playfully, then let her head toward the bathroom, lowering himself a little so she'd have an easier time delivering her kiss.
And while she got ready, so did he - he changed into something that stood out a little less, packed a stray tanktop of his host's that would definitively fit a little more when he shifted out of wings. The bone mace was strapped to his belt - one was never too careful, after all - and then took the pack he'd put together a long time ago, when Cosine first told him about the trip.
"So am I." He smiled, taking her hand to kiss it gently. As strange as it was to see her hair brought up like that, it suited her. "Shall we ?"
Cosine had packed some protection too. The knife that Lien had carried with her and a smaller, fold away one that Kayne had given her. It was small enough to keep on her person incase she needed it. "Yes, let's get moving." She gave his hand a squeeze and started to lead him out of the room. "Are the doors still in the same place?" She asked as they wandered down the hall. "I haven't been there since the Pantheon changed. Oh! and I was thinking whilst I was taking a bath. We need a good story when we get there. If we're going to try to blend in a little. I suppose we can't really say 'hi, we're reborn gods come to rescue you.' They might get a little suspicious of us."
