~::Tanabata Festival (2 Nights!)::~
[The Happy Mask Shop!]

Welcome, welcome, I do hope you are having fun, yes? Why don't you go on and add more to your fun with a new face? A new look! I have the requirements just for that with all these masks I have to offer. Festivals always did have a knack at holding booths that sold masks to the visitors, so of course with a small price you'd be able to celebrate with a new face to prance around and show off. Masks do bring a sense of innocent happiness and protection, don't you think? Go on, spread the joy! Enjoy your new souvenir!

Quote:
Event Rules

1. Here the characters would approach a booth with rows and rows of multiple masks before them. If there's a mask that suits their fancy, they can buy it and wear it at any time during the festival! Only one mask per character!

Masks are as Follows:
Kitsune Mask -- The ever classic white Kitsune mask lined with red, representing the white fox messengers of Inari. This is also used for the role of the fox spirit or demons in Noh plays. Careful not to be caught causing mischief with this.
Sparrow Mask -- It's a charming little thing, isn't it? And what I've heard from it, it represents freedom. So they say. Now fly, fly away
Oni Mask -- My, my, what big teeth you have..Oni masks serve two purposes; the first to portray the devil and create disasters or cause the plague, and conversely they are used to ward off evil spirits. With a face like that, who wouldn't be scared?
Tengu Mask -- Demons of the Birds of Pray. I've heard that these long nosed folk started out with a bad reputation. Nowadays they're considered to be the guardians of temples and aids to search for missing children. With this red, long nosed mask perhaps you'll look like a guardian yourself?
Noh Mask -- Eerie sort... But ever so fascinating. A traditional mask used for the female or nonhuman roles in Noh plays. They are designed so that slight adjustments in the position of the head can express a number of emotions such as fear or sadness due to the variance in lighting and the angle shown towards the audience. Neat trick, yes?
Dragon Mask -- A mask resembling an ancient beast. An ancient, powerful beast said to bring luck, strength, and fortune. But do respect the face of this mystic creature, for it can do just the opposite if treated with disrespect. Do you feel its magic now?
Bunny Mask -- A cute little face, and it does have its quirks. The rabbit only drives on forward and doesn't step back, so it has been considered lucky as a symbol of advancement. Same with the symbol of self-devotion. Or you can just look cute.
Kamen Rider Mask -- A very popular show among young boys and men, with this you might just become the brave and righteous heroes! Ore Sanjou!
Hello Kitty! Mask -- What's a mask booth without the trademark Hello Kitty face? With this adorable mask, I'm sure you can charm anyone with those cute, innocent eyes.

And that's all I have to offer. Please, enjoy your new identity, hmhmhm...

[This shop will be open for both nights!]

Lord Seo Tachibana-Hakushaku, Head of the Taihaku Demon Clan
"...Memento Mori - Laugh and be merry, but remember that you must die..."

Oh, the wonders of the Festival...the lights, the streamers, the tiny little strips of paper you hung from the trees to make your wishes in hopes that the stars would bless you and your youthful romance! Everywhere one might look there were new and interesting sights for the eye to behold, and in no way did the eye go wanting. Beautiful ladies in their formal bests, delectable dining stands with only their very best dishes to offer to those who were fortunate enough to purchase a parcel, and so many grand spectacles were on the horizon that it was hard to imagine which of the many different sights would draw the childlike wonder from the eyes of one Seo Taihaku before all the others. Would it be the Beauty Pageant, an event that would stun even the most devout of souls with the sheer magnificent loveliness of the competitors? He could only imagine what it might be like if Mai-chan were to show her gentle smile to those Festival-goers, the way that she would melt their hearts with a single glance, the way that she pierced through his walls in order to get him to take his morning medicine. What would they think of lovely Suko-chan's charms, that blushing, smiling face that could be so intriguing just before her breath ran short and her body crashed, hyperventilating towards the floor? They would need an oxygen tank or a skilled medic nearby to watch after her, of course, but he had no doubt that those in the audience would be swayed by her earnest attempt to portray whatever feelings were crossing her mind. And then there were Koko-chan and Jin-chan, both of whom he had a hard time imagining standing on a stage and parading around like one of those modern-day models or some 19th century geisha, but at the same time, he knew better than anybody that in the right setting the two could be marvelously beautiful. Jin was the perfect huntress, lean and strong, but curved and alluring all the same...and when Koko moved with a blade in her hand or mischief in her eye, she was like poetry in motion...all 900 years of her experience and practice at charming those who suited her needs at any given time on full display. Who would win a pageant amongst his own clan was a hot debate, but who would win at a Festival filled with beauties? He had faith in his own clan in that as well, however, it was not the pageant which caught the Lord's eye first upon entering the Festival...nor was it the lights or the events, or even the food which made him pause and smile, fingers reaching out to hand a few (only slightly) blood-stained yen to a wincing young woman before lifting a white, cat-faced mask with a pink bow-tie atop the head and a second kitsune mask from the rack of a certain booth, crimson eye twinkling with a child-like glee inside of them.

Yes, it was the masks that had drawn his attention from the outset, and he turned with the two and offered them to the two female members of his clan who had not yet had an opportunity to escape the horde of Taihaku Members entering through the front of the Festival Grounds and go off on their own without him. This gave him the quick chance for a gift, a warm, Seo smile, and a welcome invitation to all of them...a reminder to let down their guard for a night, to hold onto their human disguises, and simply have fun. The war had been so taxing, and he had seen the toll it took on some like Jin, and especially Mai-chan. And if there was anything he could do, be it a gesture or a day out like this at such a lovely festival...then as their Lord, he would have been remiss not to share it together with them.

"Don't you think they look just like you?" the Lord teased, offering the kit-mask to Koko and the kitty mask to Maigo with his two free hands, "...Humans have such silly depictions of our kind, don't you think?" He glanced at the Oni Mask over his shoulder and chuckled warmly, a kind sound, and for once, there was a missing rasp that made one wonder just how nice all of this atmosphere was making him feel. "I don't look like that in my true form, do I?" he asked rhetorically, before remembering, "Oh, right...I've never transformed before for you, have I? ...Forget I mentioned it, and enjoy yourselves tonight."

"By my authority, you are all free to roam until the Midnight fireworks. We will meet at that luxurious Inn I heard so much about after the festivities are over...and perhaps I can get into that 'open air bath' I've been wanting to try..."

The Borderline Artist In Denial

So what was Kuro doing here? The girl had changed her clothes. She was getting better at breaking into her own old home, since she knew when their parents left for work, and that Yue would be here at the festival too. You could make out the temporary blue highlights in her hair. The change of clothes helped too, she actually wore a Yukata, it was a small blue one she owned. Really all but her slight limp she walked with, since her leg was still healing, looked decently different.

She looked at the mask shop, which of course was the first place she stopped. She liked masks anyway, and in this case it would serve a purpose. She handed the attendant money before pointing to one of the masks she wasn't tall enough to reach. She was handed the odd looking mask that if you moved it in the lighting, looked like it was changing expressions. She stared at it for a second, fascinated by it. She nodded a thank you before walking away, and slipping the mask on for the night, her still same face now hidden by the Noh Mask she'd bought.

I may be bad,

Mayu glanced at the masks on display and ran her fingers through her hair again. Her eyes lingered on all the faces that were on display, the new look she could wear and present herself in. The edges of her lips curled into a smile as her fingertips reached out and brushed their smooth faces; her heart suddenly jumping at the kitsune face as she whirled around to look away from it only to see a redhead she recognized. Fear bubbled in her belly as she realized it was the fox who she had fought, who had hunted her and marked her with scars. Rage mingled with the fear and the Pink Wolf considered hunting down a fellow Messenger to regain her strength, she could not allow herself to be defeated again and this fear – she hated it. Mayu turned around, a sort of hardness behind her eyes as she selected an oni mask; an odd one, she'd managed to dig one up with a splash of her favorite color. She wouldn't hang around here, she had two tasks tonight to find someone with a matching number and hopefully to run into a face she would recognize.

The excitement continued to flutter in the demon's chest as she looked about in high alert with the sights of the wonderous lights and the sounds of the festival going about. With the streamers and the lanterns, and oh the food! The food just smelled fantastic and already she was getting anxious to have at it with the treats and candy that this festival had in store. Her head could do nothing but keep on turning and looking around with her hands clenching onto her purse excitedly. It was then that she looked on ahead and noticed that they were in front of a mask booth, Seo having been interested in it the moment they stepped on the grounds. Maigo's head tilted for a bit as she looked at the labels and the faces that represented them. Of course seeing the kitsune mask got her to tense up, if not the oni mask as well. Course she grinned nervously. "I would hope not, Lord Seo." she said, covering her mouth with a couple of fingers as she looked at the masks curiously before noticing that one was given to her. Red eyes looked to the side and saw her dear lord handing her a Hello Kitty mask he just purchased, some pink going onto her cheeks on how cute the popular face is and she took it in her hands, grinning. "Thanks!" Relax... be loose and cut the formalities. As Maigo placed the mask on the side of her head, she sighed some and tried to follow this, knowing that Seo only wanted them all to have fun. She looked back to the other masks after the order was given for the rest of the clan to do what they want to do. Hmm... With her fingers going into her bag, she brought out some money to give to the mask woman and decided to purchase something. With a tap at Seo's shoulder Maigo soon offered him his own mask, the Kamen Rider. "Human boys usually look up to this character if I remember." she said before she looked tot he side. "If it's alright with you, I was going to head over to the snack area, wondered if you wanted to come along." She'll be honest, if she went on her own she wasn't sure what she'd do and more than likely wanted to enjoy her time with someone. Course she didn't want Lord Seo to end up being alone during the celebration so.. it's a win-win, right?

Nix was heading back towards the Shrine area when she spotted the mask booth. That was something she forgot to get when the festival started. Masks were a traditional part of festivals after all so she walked over to see what there was to chose from. There were several interesting designs available. There were some people standing around with a mask already in their possession. As the girl looked at the masks again one seemed to just catch her attention and keep it there. It was a Dragon mask, it was said they bring luck, strength, and fortune. She did need some of all that on her side.

So Nix bought the dragon mask, not wanting to second guess her thoughts. She moved the hair clip to attach it to the front of her yukata so that she could wear the mask safely in it's place. Since her business there was done the girl continued on to go into the Shrine area to relax. All this walking around called for a little time off her feet.

Lord Seo Tachibana-Hakushaku, Head of the Taihaku Demon Clan
"...Memento Mori - Laugh and be merry, but remember that you must die..."

It went without saying that they were here to have fun; yet their lord never missed an opportunity to remind them. Minds had a way of drifting to that which you did not want to remember at the times that you most wanted to forget, and so his presence, his soothing voice, his warm smile were, at face value, no less important than these secondary reasons that he made certain to reiterate the reason for their pilgrimage to this small town Festival. Taking in the sights, partaking in the idiosyncrasies of this culture, and learning more about the people that they were protecting as servants of the Shogun of Japan, this was another important tool in the education of the Taihaku Clan as well as a means for them to unwind and relax their minds from the stress. Handing out a pair of masks to the girls who were usually closest behind him when he was walking through the crowds, he had made his intentions to enjoy the Festival without any thoughts to the illness and weakness that had bedridden him for the last several days since the war, without any thoughts towards the scars that had been left upon them, and that he expected each member of his clan to do their best to echo those sentiments in whatever manner they saw fit. Some drank to enjoy their time, some played games and tricks, and others simply wandered with a smile on their face and took in beautiful sights like the lights all about them, the streamers, the smells and the booths and the people. In his own way, Seo Taihaku was a bit of all of these options, and none of them all at once. It wasn't any single culture or idea that amused him, or entertained him, it was...the experience of life and living, every aspect of his last remaining days upon the Earth that he would etch into his memories in hopes that they would cling unto his very soul upon the moment that it took flight of his body. Tonight was a night full of memories, a night full of magic and wonder, and with a crimson eye sparkling he turned at the tap on his shoulder, the clan dismissed, and beamed brightly as he accepted a strange superhero-type mask from his Nekobaby, setting it with a tug of the string upon his head without a second thought.

"Are you asking me to accompany you?" the Lord smiled with a good nature, arms folding loosely about his waist as he glanced over toward a snack booth with a casual sort of expression, "Do you think they have any sort of treats that we've never tasted before? I'd like to try some new things...perhaps a bit of this 'cotton candy' the others are talking about?" Indeed, it had become something of a small-time legend within their clan, the tale of the mysterious, pink fluff candy that somehow wrapped around a thick, white stick and melted in your mouth the very moment that you made to taste a bite of it. The sweetness was said to be greater even than some of the 'hard candies' he had ordered from other cultures, and despite the way that it melted it was said to be fluffy, almost like wool to the touch, only sticky! How could a food of such contradiction exist? How could such a thing possibly delicious? And most of all he wondered...how would it taste, of course!? Perhaps his curiosity showed as his lips curled slightly, his gaunt frame seeming to almost lurch toward the most decadent of flavorful odors wafting from the area that the food was being prepared. Snack shop? Why, of course!

"Mai-chan, won't you lead the way~" his words were light, almost as though he were singing a song...only by the obvious lack of force behind his words (his throat was still recovering) and the deep, calm tone it was clear that he was merely having fun. He wished that he were a little more energetic to dance about and have more fun, but that was apt to come as the time went by and his excitement grew. And tomorrow he would be even better, which meant he would likely be a handful for all of his followers to endure. Perhaps, that was. He could never really say for certain. Still, it remained a truth that the ill Lord was here, and he was enjoying himself already alongside his tan-skinned, dark-haired kitty-cat and the rest of his beloved clan. No war, no scattered alliances, all together and having fun. It was almost a hallmark occasion for their kind, wasn't it? And he couldn't have felt better about that.

Well this is a nice place still there are a lot of people I don't care for here. I think I've spotted a few of those people that were fighting against The Master too Sawyer strolled through out the are festival grounds a bit on edge with all unwanteds around the area. The mask shop seemed promising though something to wear for fun and hide her face and stuff."I'll take one of those dragon masks, yeah that one looks cool." Sawyer asked trying to sound her kindest which for her was a bit tricky for the small happiness challenged girl. Sliding the money to the head of the salesperson. The mask was pretty nice, she managed to make a bit of smile. Sawyer put on the mask looking around. The only problem she was having was people questioning her age, for her that required her to curb her rage when anyone asked her why she was wandering around area without and adult. Maybe people would just start ignoring her soon enough that'd be nice. With her mask she decided to start scouting around the area, perhaps on of the people she knew from the tower was here too.

Another bouncy figure seemed to pass by Kuro, dragging along one with a few bandages on his face. Familiar figures, if the two paid attention, and at this, it was quite easy to determine what they were doing.
"I'll take that one! What do you want Or-Or?" Rena called, paying out the money for a Oni Mask, while the bandaged one looked up, with a darkish grin.

"I'll take....that one." he called, gesturing at the Kitsune one, with a grin as he slid some money onto the table. Not a moment passed before the two put on their masks, concealing their appearances.
Orvaeus was wearing a full length, Burgundy Yukata, surprisingly well made, while Rena wore a bright orange one. While Rena wore it to look pretty, Orvaeus merely did it to hide his bandages. Without it, he would be....too easily spotted by their foes, and this was't a time for battle, now was it?
"Let's split up....have some fun. he called through the mask, grinning under it.

A salute could be seen against the Oni mask, before the orange clad and haired girl started off, moving to another stand quickly. There was so much to do, and this would just be so fun~ How could she resist?

Soji Seta, Investigation Team Leader
"Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"

En route to the stage at the front of the Festival Grounds, the silver-haired Senior couldn't help but take a little detour when he spotted a wall full of a variety of masks that lined up all together and enchanted many of the children and older people who were wandering by. His ashen eyes caught sight of a strange-looking man with a talisman over his eye and a skittish-looking girl with dark skin and dark hair walking away with their own masks, and being younger than they were, any reservations he had about going to the shop due to his age were dispelled. What sort of a Tanabata Festival would it be if he didn't grab a mask, after all? Sure, it might end up sitting beneath the models he had made on his shelf back in the room forever without ever really being touched again, but the possibilities were already spinning about inside of his mind and, well, when was the last time he had done something careless like this for the simple reason of 'just feeling like doing it'? His thoughts couldn't stop his feet, and before he knew quite what he was doing he stood before the large wall and was scanning the different masks with a pair of fingers touching at his chin thoughtfully. Tengu? Not really his style. Oni? Definitely not his style. Dragon? He could think of a man who could wear that mask, and a girl in his group that would certainly be appreciative of it. However, that didn't exactly resonate with him either. To be honest, the variety of masks just wasn't hitting him very strongly, and he couldn't see himself walking around with one of them on his face without feeling somewhat strange. Even the Kamen Rider masks didn't really interest him, though he knew someone else who would love to wear one of those as well. His lips curled into a wry smile at the thought, wistful, remembering a time before darkness had become so prevalent and a friend of his hadn't changed sides, seduced into becoming a monster for an ideal that just didn't even make sense anymore. Heavy thoughts had a way of creeping into his consideration a lot these days...and he had a whole lot of them to think over.

It was only as his small smile began to fade and hope began to recede that finally, his clouded eyes spotted something on the rack near the bottom that made his gaze stick for a moment longer. It was...different from most of the others, and decidedly did not seem suitable for just anyone to wear. It was above that ridiculous Hello Kitty mask, which made it look all the more reasonable by comparison. And yes...yes he was certain that he could make use of this thing within the spirit of the Festival. He moved to the booth and slipped a little money out of that seemingly-endless wallet of his without a hint of hesitation. Long fingers reached out and curled about the bottom of the mask, pulling it from the wall and setting it on the side of his head as the eyebrow of the attendant raised, a knowing smirk passing from him as the silverette's complete poker face inspired a small chuckle. He couldn't help but admit that this boy was pulling it off, in his own way. And with calm but amused eyes, Soji took the man's reaction, his stifled laughter as a good sign. Tonight was for good spirits, the improvement of their mood and the refreshment of their hearts. So many heavy things had happened lately, that a little bit of peace and lighthearted fun was just what they needed to remember what it was that they were fighting for.

He hoped that the others were here, enjoying things the same way that he was. In fact...he thought, as he slid the mask from the side of his head over his face...there was one person in particular he was hoping to see at the moment. He'd see if she could recognize him while he was wearing this other...persona.

Well... this is a place to start.

Allen wasn't really used to huge social events, but ever since he had warmed up to the SEES-2 team, social events were much less... terrifying. The first thing he definitively wanted to do was to buy a mask... Allen really didn't know what it was, but Allen really enjoyed wearing masks. The colors and shapes of the masks attracted him, and even made him smile faintly. His eyes moved from mask to mask, and he was quickly trying to decide which mask he should buy for himself before he caught up with Ellen. The kitsune mask caught his eye, it was mysterious and odd. Allen liked those things, so as he counted the money in his hand, he spoke his words without playing through his thoughts.

"I'd like a Hello Kitty Mask, please."

Requested Allen without noticing what he just said. He was sure he asked for the cool Kitsune mask right? At the side of his eye he noticed that someone was staring at him. He looked over and only made a fragment of eye contact before looking away. Why the heck was that guy giving him such an amused look? It really looked like he was about to laugh, but what the hell was wrong with buying a fox mask? Allen caught himself in his thoughts, he was simply getting all worked up for nothing. The man at the booth gave him the mask, and without really looking at the mask, Allen gave the man the money and walked away. It was only about a few steps before he decided to take a moment to admire his cool awesome... Hello... Kitty Mask? Allen rubbed his eye to make sure his mask wasn't really a... and it was. A Hello Kitty Mask. The Gods must have been laughing down at Allen on that rueful night that Allen had somehow missed the fact that he had purchased the Hello Kitty Mask.

The junior frowned silently, and was about to walk back to the counter before he took another close look at the mask. An odd thought that crept to his head as he studied the surface of the forsakened mask. 'Well... it is a bit... cute... kinda... I'll keep it for a little bit... just a bit.' Slowly, he began to raise the mask to his head, pretending that he was reenacting a scene from "The Mask" when Jim Carrey puts on the mask slowly, and with caution. But then Allen pulled the mask away from his face with a startled feeling in his chest. What if the mask latched onto his face, and HE turned into some Hello Kitty Abomination?! Wait... that was an incredibly stupid thought. Allen put the Hello Kitty Mask on his face and walked into the crowd, going where his gut told him to go. And hoping that he'd wind up bumping into a particular person.

Sai Sakurazaka, the Urban Legend of Oshu City
"...You can trip as many times as you want; I will never let you fall..."

Potential roadblock one cleared. Now that he had extricated Suzume from stalling herself at the goldfish scooping booth for the time being, they had more than enough booths around the Festival to visit before the end of the night. And he knew that she was going to want to see and experience as much as possible while she had the time...after all, that was the reason that they had made such a long journey on the train together last night and this morning. It hadn't been his idea to come down here, but after countless pleas from Suzume and the unfair use of her trademarked Suzu Puppy Eyes (and assurances that she would be on her best behavior and stay close to him), he had eventually agreed to ride the train with her all the way to Inaba. He hadn't been sure about the whole thing when they left the station, but seeing that impossibly bright smile upon her face now, her glowing cheeks, the shimmer of wonder in her eyes at all the sights and sounds around them, he knew that he couldn't regret it. Just so long as she was safe, as she had fun, and he could avoid trouble, he wouldn't regret it in the least. It was with that certainty that he was able to stop thinking about the big picture so much and focus on the little things in their walk from that booth to this one, the Wall of Masks begin something that he knew the energetic girl would want to get around to sooner, rather than later. It was a simple decision to go visit it early, so she would have the chance to actually wear the mask with her (on the side of her head at least) around the Festival for a while. He also couldn't help but be loosely conscious of the way that their hands were joined, linking them together as they left the booth and made their way together towards this next one. It felt...strange like this, he couldn't help but think. It was just holding hands, and yet that little warmth between them, that link which kept them moving together through the crowds, it made him feel...connected. As if everything that they were doing, all they were experiencing, weren't being seen and experienced separately. They were enjoying it...together. And he wasn't sure what it was that it made him feel to think such a thing, but he knew that it didn't feel bad. In fact, it was rather...

"We're here," the scarred young man noted to recapture the girl's attention as they closed in on the wall of masks, thumb brushing the back of her hand lightly to ensure that she didn't miss him, crimson eye tilting towards the masks as he set the fish bowl down on the counter and drew out some money from his pocket, setting enough yen down for her to grab not one but two masks if she really wanted them, before scooping the bowl back into his hand carefully. "Which one do you want, Suzume?" It was a simple question, but he couldn't begin to guess at what reasoning she might have for choosing one or leaving another on the wall. If one wasn't cute enough, wasn't bright enough, if one wasn't heroic enough, all of these things sometimes might come into account for her, he imagined. Secretly, he remembered her once-declaration of a wish to be a super heroine when she grew older...and that thought made him wonder if she wouldn't be most content snatching up one of the Kamen Rider or Super Sentai masks and wearing it for the night. Then again, could she pass up the cute Bunny Mask?

Idly, he realized that all of these questions he found himself wondering about were actually rather...inane, and silly. Would a mask be cute enough? Would his companion's super heroine dream lead her to choose a different mask than what he might expect? ...Since when did he ever have the carefree time to ponder such ridiculous questions and push the darker thoughts in his mind, the memories of his life long past from his mind? This was a question that he found himself answering often, but he still found it all so hard to believe that he was never quite able to simply let it go...though he was more than content with the answer. The answer was standing beside him, smiling, laughing, allowing herself to be filled with magic and wonder in spite of all the dark things going on in the world around him. The answer had her fingers inextricably linked with his, joined together, filling him with thoughts and feelings he could have never imagined otherwise. The answer was...

The brown haired Senior and Aussa Both moved towards the booth, making a sort of round-trip through the night to all the booths, as he looked up.
"Well, seeing as I'm least dressed for the occasion, I guess I should get one." he called with a sort of mock-annoyed tone, as he turned to Aussa. "And I'll get one for you too, since I'm such a gentleman. Which one do you want?"
He was a little spooked by the boy next to him, though seeing him with a brown haired girl too made him chuckle a bit. Maybe they were a bit more alike than he thought...
"This one. And this one for you." Aussa called, holding out the two masks, as Jo(shu) leaned up and paid for them, then put it on, chuckling.
"How do I look? he called, wearing a Tengu mask, while Aussa wore a Bunny one. The two were a strange pair, to say the least, but they'd continue on, clearly amused by the way things were going that night.

"A-ah! Yes!" A light brush on the back of her hand made the girl to turned her gaze back to the booth in front of them, having been distracted by the thoughts of what they would do after getting something in this booth. Perhaps they could go get some snacks! Would the Snack Booth have some pudding? The girl could only hope, but if not...then she could always get a candy apple! Or cotton candy! Or or choco banana! And and there was also the Shooting gallery! Though...thinking about it...perhaps she should think twice about visiting that booth. Then there was this strange booth with red decorations and string motives...She wondered what that could be... But! They were at the Happy Mask Shop now, so she could think of the rest later, when they get to it! Chestnut orbs raised from their entwined hands, up to his crimson eye and then to the booth in front of them, masks lined up for her to choose. "Wooow!" There were many many options! There were so many different ones! Different shapes, different colors! Her gaze was completely absorbed on all the different faces staring back at her, and she couldn't help the childish glee at the prospect of choosing and getting to wear one. Fingers of her free hand reached over to the masks, before stepping back, her head tilting slightly in thought. "Which one, which one?~" The girl pondered in a sing-song tone, swinging their connected hands just lightly, before turning back to look at her companion, a finger tapping against her lower lip in thought. "That one over there is kind of scary, don't you think?" Suzu thought out loud, her head nodding towards the Noh Mask, eyes moving slowly towards the others, "The Oni Mask...Nah. The Tengu Mask..." her nose wrinkled slightly before shaking her head. "Hmmmmm... Ah! Kamen Rider!" The girl seemed to perk up at the sight of the mask, before leaning back again, narrowing her gaze. "Thoooough, I like Super Sentai better. And...Oh! The Bunny Mask is really cute as well!" Yeah...it might take her a while. Though, as she seemed to reach her hand to take the white Bunny Mask, her hand stopped, something else taking her attention. "No...This one!"

Her hand curled around the Sparrow Mask, pulling it from the rack and brushing her thumb over it. The girl smiled brightly at her choice, before setting the mask on the side of her head, turning back to look at her violet haired companion, giving a twirl on her place. "What do you think? How does it look?" She thought it was cute...not bunny-cute, but... somehow, it fitted. It's what her name meant, after all...and in a way, a little perky bird flying about could resemble the girl. Not that any of these thoughts crossed her mind when she picked this specific mask...only gazing at how it looked like there were feathers in it...and how the little beak looked cute and...Ah! Well...yeah, anyway. "What about you, Sai? Are you getting one?" Her gaze turned to him, big brown orbs almost hopeful. "It'd be fuuuun!" the girl added, a bright, innocent smile curling her lips.
