Why do you follow your religion and how does it affect your life? This includes all religious beliefs, even atheists and yes I realize that it isn't actually a religion.

I just simplify my belief system as "pantheist." It seems the obvious choice when given all other options.

neo-pagan, I follow the teachings of Scott Cunningham.

Please tell exactly what a neo-pagan is. I've seen a couple of Scott Cunningham's books but never studied much of it myself.

Please explain what a pantheist is. I've heard the term but I'm not 100% on the definition.

this should help smile

I understood what it meant but I just wondered what it meant to you specifically, as many people will have their own versions of just about anything. Just tryng to get a conversation going. smile

Well to me personally it is a way of connecting to nature and to the goddess herself. Talking with her and praying ( as in thanking her for what she does) also helps me feel connected to her as well as the God. I believe everything has a balance and that the world itself has all balances. I also believe that spending as much time as possible outside is important and also keeping myself healthy and happy is very important.

Thank You

The basics are that god is in everything and everything is god. Everyone throws their own spin on that though it seems.

Lets face it, everyone throws their own spin onto everything. I like your definition though. Use the word god in that and you have religion, substitute the word Universe and you have science.

I follow neo-paganism because I like connecting to nature and to the goddess herself. Talking with her and praying ( as in thanking her for what she does) also helps me feel connected to her as well as the God. I believe everything has a balance and that the world itself has all balances. It would seem that you have a very well balanced view of paganism as well as the world. Very good. Now that you are a member of our little guild please feel free to post anytime and ask any questions of others that you may have. smile
