PLOT IDEAS

-Drustan grew up fairly sheltered, only really associating with people who his mother approved of. He secretly believes that the only valid way of life lies within the House. He desperately needs to meet non-cultists and broaden his perspective on the world.

-Drustan has no experience making friends. It would be SUPER AWESOME FUN TIMES if he found a best friend. A bosom buddy.

-Drustan also has no experience with women, aside from flirting-for-the-sake-of-business. That's right, this boy is a v-i-r-g-i-n. So meeting girls who are nice and available could be amusing. Cybele, once she manifests as an excito, will not approve of any women in his life. Period.

-Drustan is learning the family's business. I think it would be really neat if he embarked on his own business venture. He could provide the startup capital if someone else had a good business idea.

-I love the idea of knowledge being power and I love the idea of secret societies. That's largely why Drustan is a devoted cultist. I think it could be a lot of fun to develop a group of people from various factions who meet to exchange information. Their purposes would all be their own and the details would need to be hashed out among the initial participants. But an underground network of secrets could be a lot of fun to play around with. I can picture clandestine doors in random alleyways that only open with a special key that only members of the society possess. The doors could lead to safe rooms and places where information could be dropped off and picked up. In light of the current Be Still ORP such a network could be valuable to help protect the Plagues.

-I also love the idea of a sub-sect of Obscuvianism that focuses on worshiping Andromeda, similar to the way the Catholics pay reverence to the virgin Mary, except more underground and cultish. I'm not sure how this would start or if Drustan and Cybele would be the appropriate people to start it, but if anyone is interested in this idea I would really like to help develop it and be a part of it.

-Drustan could use someone to run errands, deliver messages and be discreet. Someone less fortunate and adept at street life would be ideal. If that someone was a cultist it would be even more ideal. He would, in turn, pay quite well for their services and could even provide room and board if necessary.

-Would love to do a post-ORP (Be Still) reaction RP with someone. Srsly, anyone will do. I'd like to hash out Drustan's feelings on what has happened, since he's undergone some immediate personal development that I did not anticipate happening so early in his plot. I'm not sure how it will effect him and would like the opportunity to explore it with someone in an RP format.

Yes yes, I've read up on the butterfly crows actually. Though I was under the impression that their goal was to spread inside information about the cult to the other factions. What I had in mind was a little bit different. Drustan would be a terrible member even if the butterflies were accepting, he's too indoctrinated at this point to betray the cult so he'd just end up dead, lol. He'd never pass the tests. But I certainly don't want to step on anybody's toes since the basic concept is already being used in a character's plot.

Though I would definitely love to get some RPs with Dorian and Lettie at some point! I'm sure we could think of something interesting to do.

That sounds like fun! The only potential problem with sympathizing with Drustan as a cultist is that he and his family keep the fact that they are cultists very secret, as that knowledge being made public would vastly impact their business empire. But once they get to know each other he might open up and Drustan could definitely try to "subtly" sway Kalyan towards the house while attempting to keep his involvement secret, which would be a neat challenge. And Drustan can always use errand runners and potential business partners. After the ORP I know he has a few ideas and could use someone to help him. I'm game whenever you are, just let me know!

Yizhaq is also super duper rich, and being a noble supersedes any other faction alignments, really, despite how obnoxious that sounds. xD

That is to say, rich families are super rich, and tend to mingle whether or not they're secretly cultists, fellowship members, scientist, etc, since they're still better than everyone. I'd love for them to meet up socially at some point!

I think it might be interesting to bring my Cuthbert and your Drustan together at some point. Cuthbert is a child in a man's body being pushed into the arms of the Obscuvian Faction by an overbearing mother and will be dealing with a lot of cynicism, disbelief and inner turmoil along the way. He could use someone around his own age to talk to within the Church. I think the two might have an interesting dynamic ~ one of those friend/foe relationships, perhaps?
