~::Tanabata Festival (Both Nights!)::~ [ Scooping Goldfish/Turtles! ]
Step right up, step right up! Come on by and play for a chance to win a new pet! What's a summer festival without the traditional game of Golfish Scooping and the rare Turtle scooping? Seriously, with it dating back int he late Edo times, you honestly can't expect this festival to go without this game.Plus it's a lot of fun for kids and adults so don't be shy to nab a new friend! Just come on by to the booth, pay a nice small price to get yourself a poi and bowl then have at it! Just be careful and be patient with these little guys, alright? Can't afford to have your poi broken on the first go! Also be nice to the participants, and don't take your frustration out on the booth owner, yeah?
That's all Satsuki's gotta say!
Good luck! Quote: Event Rules 1. Characters entering the booth are met two shallow tanks, one filled with goldfish and one filled with little turtles. Each character picks a tank and plays individually! No double teaming! Or triple teaming.. or... Just one at a time! The other person can be a cheerleader. 2. Goldfish Scooping: Roll a number between 1-3. If it lands on a 1, you win a prized goldfish! It it lands on any other number, the poi has been broken and the game is over. Oh, but you can always try again, if you want! Turtle Scooping: Roll a number between 1-4. If it lands on a 2 or 1, you have captured a turtle! If it lands on any other number, the poi has been broken and the game is over. Capture 4 turtles in a row with one poi and you win a pet turtle! 3. Prizes? Of course! The goldfish and turtle you have successfully captured are now your new pals! --Win 4 goldfish in a row with one poi and you win a homemade lucky charm! --Number of plays are unlimited, so you can always come back for another try! This booth will be open on both nights of the Festival!

Sai Sakurazaka, the Urban Legend of Oshu City "...You can trip as many times as you want; I will never let you fall..."Twenty-five hours. That was how long it had taken them to arrive in Inaba from the northern edge of the country, the time it took for the train to leave the station in Oshu and continue south through Fukushima, old Odawara, and many more provinces until they had taken a pit stop for a short rest somewhere on the northern side of the capital in the wee hours of the morning. From there, they had managed to wander back onto the train with his companion all bleary-eyed from lack of sleep (a side of her that he had never seen before...being woken up early...and one he did not hope to see again soon), before promptly passing out on his shoulder and drooling over his shoulder for the rest of the ride past Sumaru City and eventually through Okina, the last pit stop before they cruised into the Yasoinaba Station some time in the late afternoon. This affording them just enough time to rush over to the Amagi Inn (with only one room apparently reserved for them, despite his explicitly mentioning he wanted two) and prepare before, in a rush, the violet-haired young man had been practically dragged out of the door by a ball of excitement that made him wonder how in the world she ever shifted from the exhausted, groggy girl in the morning to this unstoppable bundle of energy that now lead him through the streets of an unfamiliar town (though she was only kept on the right path by his astute directions) towards the lovely, multi-colored lights of what she had insisted would be the 'Best, Most Beautiful and Awesome Tanabata Festival of All!' ...And it was for that reason alone that he had endured the journey, the scary morning grumbling, the graceful charity of the owner of the Amagi Inn who had promised them all the comforts they could manage in their single room, and being pulled by the hand to this Shrine where they now stood on the precipice of what looked to be...well, a rather grand spectacle of the many that he had seen. It was nowhere near as large as the festivals back in Oshu, but it was much warmer, much more close-knit, and the intimacy gave the whole Festival a much more welcoming feeling. It was celebratory, but it wasn't exclusive. In short, it was...exactly what they had been hoping for when they set foot on the train yesterday morning. And that thought alone made his crimson eye flicker over towards the girl, her energy likely through the roof with all of these booths lingering between them.
Which one would capture her attention first? Which one would she wish to try? Through years of expert Suzume-watching, Sakurazaka Sai had come to understand the mind of the young girl as well as anybody could likely reasonably hope to. He knew that while cotton candy had to be near the top of her wish list, and while Fireworks were ultimately the main attraction (delayed until midnight both nights), if there was one thing in this entire Festival that was no doubt going to catch her attention it was the event with the single highest potential for mess, disaster, and of course by extension...a childlike happiness and glee at the game and the victory! That was to say, of course...the goldfish booth. Water, small animals, all in a neat little game? Oh yes, that was the place...and while he might have complained a little as he wondered how they were going to take care of the little guys if they somehow managed to catch one, he did not forget in the back of his mind Mrs. Amagi's kindly promise...nor his willingness to take advantage. They had to have a glass bowl somewhere in that place, didn't they?
"Be careful, and watch your step, Suzume," he warned as he wandered on at a short distance from the girl, his own hand unable to contain hers as wonder exploded from her and he was merely on his task simply to keep up with her, "if you get lost in the crowd, it will be harder to find you...and you're more likely to be hurt if you fall." For most people, this was a common sense warning unnecessary unless you were with a younger child, but then, it was that careless joy that made Suzume who she was...his insistence that she be careful would likely only be met with a giggle and a smile, a promise to try to be safe he knew she would inevitably fail to keep. But even if she fell, he would be right there beside her to lift her up and set her back on her feet. And if she did it again, he would still be right there by her side.
It was going to be a long night for the both of them, he was sure. But for once, with a crimson eye set on the shimmering lights and the paper lanterns set up for tomorrow's lighting ceremony, the kids laughing and playing with their parents, running from booth to booth...yeah, for once, he didn't seem to mind so very much about it all.

Yue Adomachi "Unfortunate Junior Brother, Hermit's Philosopher, and Scrappy Protector" Yue looked around. He wasn't really sure who all were going to the festival except the ones who already said so. But he figured he'd go anyway, festivals were indeed always some fun to attend, right?
He stopped at the turtle and goldfish scooping booth and stared for a moment. He wasn't a fish guy. But those turtles....how could he resist? They looked so damn cute. Careful to avoid bumping into the man and the children with him Yue asked for a game. For now just one. He wanted to see if he could get one, he liked the idea of gaining a little pet. Maybe later he could try to catch another one for himself, or maybe Kuro. He wasn't sure where the girl was staying now, but hell, why not. He was given a poi, and he watched the turtles for a while before carefully dipping it into the water towards the group of little turtles. They all tried to get away, except one that Yue managed to lift out of the tank without breaking the poi. He grinned. First try. Awwwwesome. Three more times right? Maybe he could do it...

Yue Adomachi "Unfortunate Junior Brother, Hermit's Philosopher, and Scrappy Protector" He'd try it again. He kinda wanted to win that turtle, so he had to do it three more times. Not that it was that easy, but he wanted to try. He readied his poi again and watched the turtles before lowering it into the tank to attempt to capture another one. Maybe if he failed enough he'd just get a goldfish, but meh.
He managed to nab himself a second turtle, and grinned a bit. So far so good, his poi was still in one full piece.

So she purchased a poi and tried to scoop when.. It broke. "This is harder than I thought.. I'll try again." ═ ═ ═ ═ ═ ═ ═ ═ Sραɾкʟιɴɡ, dancing, releasing a ɓʃυҽ ɗɾҽαɱ ✻

Booth Owner, Satsuki
"Welcome, welcome," Satsuki would greet to the approaching customers, already demonstrating how the rules to the kids that would come with their parents, feeling herself getting pretty happy with their anxiousness. With the prices said and the money given, the booth owner could only sit back and watch and make sure there weren't any cheaters around. The girl turned her head and saw two turtles already in the bowl of one of the players. "Hey, you're getting there! Don't stop now, you might be able to get two more!" Satsuki encouraged, grinning some as she fanned herself with a blue paper fan, watching as the new customer was trying his best in getting the turtles. Blue eyes shifted to the side after hearing a bit of a disappointed sound and soon the booth owner looked to the side and noticed a silver-haired girl trying to best to catch them. Though there was something that she saw with the silverette... and it looked like she was refusing to give up in getting a pet turtle. Actually, that's a good thing! "Don't give up! You'll get one soon!" she encouraged, the girl leaning forward some to see if Nix will be able to get what she wants. Though, it looked like it didn't last that long, Satsuki giving out a nod to Nix before the picked up the used, torn poi and then waved to her. Well, so much for continuing but Satsuki did hope that she'll come back to try again. "Thanks for playing, come back soon!" Back to business.

Yue Adomachi "Unfortunate Junior Brother, Hermit's Philosopher, and Scrappy Protector" Yue let Nix try again before taking his turn to try it a third time. Seemed the girl didn't have any luck both tries. Dang...Yue looked at the tank and waited a moment before trying it again. He really wanted to see if he could do it again. He once again succeeded, and grinned. One more time right? Be my luck if I failed the fourth try. But ah well, worth a shot.

Yue Adomachi "Unfortunate Junior Brother, Hermit's Philosopher, and Scrappy Protector" Yue sighed and tried one last time. Come ooon, Lady Luck. He dipped the poi down again into the tank, trying his best to carefully succeed a fourth time. He really wanted to bring one of these little guys home with him. He grinned as his careful movements managed to get him a fourth turtle, and he nodded, satisfied. "Awesome. I didn't think I could really pull that off." He said to himself.

 Booth Owner, Satsuki
Yue would hear a clap from the booth owner, Sastuki grinning out happily to him before she took his bowl filled with wiggling baby turtles then gently put all but one back in the water where they swam off hurriedly. "Congrats to you! You got yourself a new little buddy here," The girl placed the bowl down then turned tot he side of her to take a small reptile box out and soon placed the new pet turtle inside before handing him carefully over towards the winner. "Here you are, hope you'll enjoy the rest of the festival! Come back again for another game, yeah?" Quote: Yue Adomachi won himself a pet turtle!

Yue Adomachi "Unfortunate Junior Brother, Hermit's Philosopher, and Scrappy Protector" Yue smirked to Sastuki and carefully took the box from her. "Thanks, I might." He told her before looking around. What was next? Oh yeah...there was something else he sort of really wanted to try, no matter how ridiculous it sounded.Quote: Yue accepts his new little buddy and leaves the booth

She thought she gave up too quickly the last time so came back for round two. So after purchasing her poi the girl tried to capture the first of the four needed turtles.. Only to see it break again. This game was out to make her fail that much was for certain. As much as her head was telling her forget about getting one of the small reptiles she really wanted one.. Maybe I'm going about this the wrong way?.. Is it too fast or too slow?" She muttered to herself. There had to be a trick to using the poi to capture these small creatures. Yue was able to get all four using one poi so why couldn't she? So she would just have to keep trying. Ƞιx Gαɭɭеɳ ✻ The ƒℓσωєɾѕ are set alight ═ ═ ═ ═ ═ ═ ═ ═ One last try.. Nix was going to try this last time for now to try and catch her prize. Just like the many times before the poi broke leaving her defeated. Now it was very clear to her that she couldn't obtain a new pet for now.. Fate was against her and had no luck on her side. The girl would simply have to try again once she felt like she had a better chance. So she gave the booth owner a small smile before walking off. Perhaps she needed a break in the shrine, maybe she would run into a friend. Quote: Nix has left the booth.. XD;; Again. ═ ═ ═ ═ ═ ═ ═ ═ Sραɾкʟιɴɡ, dancing, releasing a ɓʃυҽ ɗɾҽαɱ ✻
