Michi found herself out by the lake of all places. It wasn't that she liked the lake, it was a body of water after all, but rather that she had wandered around listening to music on her eyephone not paying attention to where she was going. That had ended with the smoke demoness standing at the edge of the lake in about the same area where she had met Herryk. She was still listening to music though, standing at the edge of the lake, and peering at the water. Wandering was something that came naturally to the smoke demoness. The ghoul loved to just let her feet take her where ever, and with some smashing tunes going on in her earbuds she really hadn't cared where she ended up. But now that she was here the lake made her... thoughtful. Amity was everything she had hoped for when her mother had sent her off to 'build character', but at the same time it wasn't. There was homework, classes, and frankly Michi was not getting along with everyone. That was typical of course, a ghoul like Michi made enemies as easily as she made friends, but what she wasn't use to was how many people were in relationships. Like actual, relationships. The concept almost blew her mind. And then there was the whispers of the invasion, and how Herryk himself had warned her about staying away from field trips. That horrible things happened, and it wouldn't be good for her to witness such things. What horrible things could happen here at Amity? Really, it seemed like a decent enough place. She had her eyephone still going, and was staring intently at a lake. She wasn't going to notice anyone or anything coming up around her. In fact if there was a hunter right there, she would have been dead. Way to go Michi.

While he wasn't affiliated with water at all, Jericho didn't avoid it. The lake was generally a calm area and provided a nice swim should he feel like it. Today wasn't a day for swimming though. Right now, he was merely trying to clear his head as well as trying to figure out what to do. This affliction of his wasn't easy to deal with in the slightest. But, he at least knew now that he wasn't alone.
Rubbing his head, the dragon paced along the edge of the water, unable to stay still for the time being. His movements were still rather restless, and his eyes never lingered in one spot for long. Instead they darted from here to there, as if on high alert.
He had tried relaxing. Really. But nothing really helped for long periods of time. There would only be brief moments of relief before everything stirred back up within him.
As he moved along, he spotted a demon looking student sitting by the lake's edge. It wasn't one he recognized, and this immediately raised a few flags. Stopping in his tracks, he stared at her, trying to figure out who she was. A few weeks ago, he wouldn't have been so wary of a strange face. But as of late, it was rather easy for him to be on edge. It also didn't take much to make him snap.
Thoughts that he might potentially have a hunter before him in one of their false bodies swarmed his mind.
"You there! State your name and race!" he called out firmly before watching for any signs of hesitation.

Michi was bobbing her head slightly to the music playing in her ears. Still with those clear blue eyes locked on the deeper blues of the water. Pft, smoke on the water. She probably would not end up in the water if she could help it. Water was cold, and she preferred being warm. Much, much warmer than anything water could provide. The red skinned ghoul heard something that wasn't exactly music, and quickly snapped her eyephone off so she could hear whatever it was.
"-- your name and race!"
She turned to see a tall boil standing there with a look on his face that wasn't... pleased. Yes, that was the best way to put it. One of her pale brows cocked above the other, and Michi regarded him with a half smile. Her name and her race? Shouldn't the horns be a dead give away? She was rather proud of those horns...
"Hey there handsome. Don't you think these are a dead give away?" She tapped one bright blue nail on her right horn with a bit of a smirk on her lips. Ah, but she wouldn't want to upset such a handsome dude. Doubly when he was already looking so pensive. Boils were strange about things.
"But if I must, Michi, smoke demoness. What's your name?" She didn't ask his race because let's face it, Michi just didn't care. She had never run into a hunter, and had no idea they could run around in false bodies. "I'm new around here, but is it normal for people to uh, clarify race before saying hi?"

Jericho's eyes narrowed at the initial answer, though the handsome comment threw him off. Horns in general, didn't mean much to him. He the other dragons he knew of all had horns, and so did many demons. There were some undead that had horns as well, and he wouldn't be surprised if there were a few ghosts who did too.
Her second answer was more plausible at least. Even so, he still regarded her warily. Shifting his wings, he stared down at her, watching for any signs of potential hostility.
"Jericho. And no. But many things as of late aren't quite what they seem," he growled before glancing to the side as if hearing something. There was nothing there. There usually wasn't. But he couldn't help but look each time he thought he heard an odd noise or anything of that like. There was no telling if something truly was around.
If this smoke demon was a hunter, did she have back up around? Clenching his fists, he took a step back. He needed to find a way to make sure this was a real student and not some human in disguise.
"Prove you can wield FEAR. Prove you aren't one of those jack damn humans and I won't burn you on the spot."

Seriously? What was this craziness? Her eyes darted off to the side like his had, wondering what he was eyeballing. What was going on? He looked back at her, this Jericho dude, and seriously was making her regret wandering to the lake. Something was seriously wrong with him.
"Uhhh, not what they seem? You seem a little out of it... Jericho." But seriously? Use her FEAR right here and now? What if she didn't feel like it? What if she didn't want to make a club out of her smoke... though smacking him in the head with it seemed like a clear choice at the moment. Actually, it might have been the best choice.
"Burn me on the spot? It would take a lot of heat to burn me, trust me." She took a step back none the less. Was this guy serious? Why was he acting so weird?! And humans? Michi had yet to meet, or really hear about anything called hunters. Even from her mother. Then again she tuned most people out unless it was about parties or fun things of that nature. So instead of really turning her FEAR on, Michi went with a more natural ability up her sleeve. She dissolved into smoke. On the spot. Slowly from her feet up to the top of her head until there was nothing there but strands of smoke. She then formed back and lifted an eyebrow at him.
"Good enough for you pal? Because frankly this seems crazy to me. What the jack would a human thing be doing here?"
Yeah, way to let your newness show.

The dragon relaxed a little as he saw her body dissolve into smoke. That was all he needed. He wasn't looking for her to use her FEAR, but some sort of display that she was made of it. When she reformed, he let out a breath.
"Plenty. I'm sorry for my rashness but the humans.. or the hunters rather, are known to take on false bodies in our world. Pretending to look and be one of us. Their intentions are not good though. I assure you this much," he said while rubbing his head. A headache had begun to form from all of this and the stress in general wasn't good.
"From the sounds of it, you're just really knew around here."
Such a great way to make a first impression! Especially as one of the student council members. But his mind was not as clear as it should have been. Too many things were setting him off far too easily. At this rate he'd probably end up driving away students. Though, he supposed that was one way to keep them away from the dangers that lurked on Amity's own campus. Not that it'd help for places elsewhere.

At least he apologized, that was more on track. Michi didn't move forward towards him like she normally would (maybe he really was crazy), but the smoke demoness looked a bit more relaxed than she was seconds before.
"Humans, hunters? In our world? What are you talking about?"
Michi knew that she didn't pay the best attention to things. She was pretty sure she'd listen if anyone said hunter... or human. Those seemed like some key phrases to look out for, something interesting to talk about. Humans here. That was just hard for her mind to understand.
"Yeahhh... I'm like, new new. Maybe a week and a half new? No one has said anything like that except..." Except Herryk had warned her about terrible things, right on this spot. "Someone told me that bad things happen on field trips, and that I should probably avoid them. But uh, nothing about humans."
It really was weird. Her entire life she had heard small talk about humans, about how stupid they were, and various other phrases from the dinner parties her mother had held. She always figured none of it really mattered because small talk there never really mattered. Maybe she should have paid more attention to things...

A week and a half she had been around. She must not have been there during the whole gender bending fiasco. Or she was and just wasn't a part of the group that met with the hunters and Conquest. That event was a little bit of a blur to him at the moment, but he hadn't recalled spotting her there anyway.
"That's not bad advice. But let's put it this way. There's a group of humans out there, known as the Hunters who have issues with us. Essentially they want to get rid of us. They're dangerous too, and are stronger than they appear thanks to those damn weapons of theirs. If you ever see a Reaper looking guy with a big glowing blue scythe? Run."
If the heirs of the horsemen plus a handful of year two students couldn't take him on, a year one on her own would definitely not stand a chance.

Was this guy crazy? He sounded crazy to Michi. She didn't know what to do but stare at Jericho with a blank look on her round face. He was saying that there were humans called hunters running around Halloween with crazy weapons that were crazy strong, and could hurt people. Could hurt her. Her mind was just not understanding this concept. To her Amity was a fun filled, wonderful place. The two could not be the same, right?
"Well, I can promise you I'll keep an eye out for a reaper with a big, glowing, blue scythe and run the other way if I ever see him... but I must be honest with the fact that this sounds a little far fetched to me."
Yeah she was really new. Actually the day after the whole gender bending fiasco had been her first day here at Amity. She didn't read the newspaper, or listen to other students talk too much (unless it was about something cool like her or a party), so this was all just... crazy.
"Are you sure you're alright Jericho?" She wasn't trying to just come out and call him crazy, doubly after he had threatened to fry her on the spot a few moments ago, but Michi couldn't help but be a little concerned. He was pretty cute after all. "Maybe you should see the nurse or lay down or something?" At least she was concerned?

"Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction, and he isn't a Reaper. He only looks like it. They all look like Reapers in their truest forms. Their weapons though. They drain your FEAR upon contact," Jericho warned before glancing to the side again. He realized that she might end up being like that Zar guy, who seemed to be convince that none of it was real. To him, those types were likely to be first on the chopping block when it came to the hunters.
For a moment, his eyes widened as he stared at Michi as a flash of anger overcame him.
"I'm fine!" he snapped out, "I don't need to see the nurse. Maybe just a little stressed but I'm fine."
Riley said it herself that they couldn't trust the nurse with this. Or anyone else. No. No one else could know what was really going on with them.

Humans looked like Reapers? That brought a whole different level to her image of Roch. Pft, b*****d. She continued to keep an eyeball on Jericho because the boil frankly made her nervous. She wasn't use to feeling nervous, or slight panic, or huge amounts of stress. Her life was so carefree compared to whatever it was this boil had to be feeling.
"Okay! No nurse... I just... just a little worried about you, that's all." She gave a nervous chuckle, not sure how to react to Jericho now. Normally she'd be stepping closer, flirting, complimenting him... but she had a feeling she didn't want to get close to this guy. At all. Please and thank you!
"They drain your FEAR on contact?" So it had taken her a moment, but now her mind was double taking back to that factoid. Hunters could drain your FEAR? That gave her a chill down her spine, something the warm skinned smoke demon didn't like in the least bit. Michi's sharp teeth bit slightly into her bottom lip as worry crossed her face. Humans were hunters, who were here in Halloween Town, and could drain your FEAR.
"This sounds like a really, really bad story."

"If only it were. But no. No. It's no mere cautionary tale," Jericho started before his expression grew dark, as did his tone, "It's reality. And if you aren't careful. You'll end up being one of their weapons. Fighting with them and against the rest of usss."
This definitely would not be how he'd introduce the information on hunters and all that jazz to a new student normally. But the dragon's rationality had diminished thanks to the paranoia grasping his mind. No, if anything he probably wouldn't have given so much information all at once and simply given a warning of the potential dangers.
Unfortunately for Michi, he wasn't quite himself.

Being one of their weapons? Was this guy speaking a whole different language? It sure as hell felt like it. There was a story behind this, Michi knew. She lifted a hand and rubbed her other hand on her other arm. She felt cold for some reason, and just really confused. This time she took a timid step forward, her brows raised still in slight confusion.
"Is there a story behind this? C-could I ask you what happened?"
She never stumbled over her words, but she had never been so nervous before in her life. If he could tell her something, anything that had happened maybe it would be more believable. Maybe she could understand why he was saying these horrible things. And why he was scaring her.
"I'm not trying to pry... I just... if..." She lost her words, trying to figure out what she needed to say. Michi couldn't figure it out.

Focusing on the demon, Jericho was silent for the moment, narrowing his eyes. She was being cautious. Well. Good.
"Multiple. A little under a year ago, you see, we went to their island for a field trip. It was the first time we really dealt with any of the hunters. Their weapons sapped at our strength and that damn fog there didn't help. One of them spoke of how his weapon was one of us before," he started before he began to pace to and fro, recalling various events.
"A bunch of the students ran into them again during the Haunted house field trip more recently. I wasn't there but I heard things. Many things. How some were captured and how some even witnessed someone being converted. Furthermore, they killed one of us. One of our professors. Red. Those damn humans seek to destroy us all! Ever since we learned of this group, they've been nothing but a plague! Quite frankly? The only way to stop them at this point is probably to KILL THEM ALL."

She honestly wasn't expecting him to be so abrupt in telling her what was going on. The red skinned ghoul stared at him as he began to describe what had happened. How someone had been converted into a weapon on a field trip. Well, that explained why Herryk had told her not to go on field trips of any kind.
"I...," Michi shivered, trying to figure things out in her mind. She stared at the dragon boil, her mind going around in circles faster with every word that he spoke. Humans, hunters... it all just made her sick to her stomach. Like a bad dream everyone else was having, and she was worried of having the same exact dream.
"They killed one of the teachers?" We're those guys supposed to be older, more experienced, and just plain awesome or something? She flinched at his yelling, but that was because Michi was so off guard. The red skinned ghoul couldn't clear her head to think properly.
