Apparently the red envelope that he had found at the festival was his to keep. And while he was highly tempted to hoard the small amount of money that it had contained there was something even more tempting: buying something for Princess Eva. He possibly should have invited Alexander to go with him to return the favor, but he knew where he wanted to go and it would be so much faster if he went on his own.
So this morning, instead of running around the campus to warm up, he was running to the maul. It felt good to just lose himself in the pace, and to get a change of scenery.
Once he arrived at the maul he slowed to a brisk walk, grateful that this morning the crowd was not so bad as it had been. He had almost reached the store when he saw a familiar figure, that of a boil he had not spoken to since he had first come to the school. Thinking little of it he began to head toward him, calling out when he was still a couple of meters away. "Mot? Is that you?"

Hel was on his a** about drinking coffee. He didn't have a problem, okay? Hel was simply overreacting! Clearly the only option was to go to the mall early in the morning and get one without the blaming.
The reaper sat on a maul bench with his large cup of black coffee, people watching and taking a sip once in a while. Aah~ Splendid start to the morning.
He lifted his head as he heard his name, spotting a somewhat familiar face. "Oh! Yes, you are... Yin." It took Mot a moment to remember, but he did it! The cowboil smiled and got up from his seat, giving the boil a nod of his head. "What brings you out this early?"

Yin smiled at the other boil, slightly surprised that he had remembered him. Mot had helped him out when he had first arrived, and though he knew little else about him that was enough. "I have come to go to Out of the Closet to acquire something for Princess Eva." As usual when talking about the rabo his voice became warmer and he unconsciously began grinning just a little bit more than usual.
"And you must be here for...breakfast?" he questioned, eyeing the cup the reaper was holding.

Princess? How fancy! Mot noted that Yin seemed to emit a warm glow when speaking of the ghoul. Maybe he was infatuated with this princess? "Mind some company?" Mot asked with a grin. "Who is this mystery ghoul you speak of?" Was she a student, he wondered?
"That I am." Mot replied, flicking his cup of coffee with a pointed finger. "Coffee is my breakfast. I don't really like to eat." No eggs and bacon for him! Blech. Especially in the morning.

Yin shook his head, "of course I do not mind."
He was ready to launch into his usual enthusiastic spiel about his beloved when something the reaper added caught his attention. "Coffee?' The word sounded in his mouth as he looked at the drink again. "I presume that is the liquid you are consuming? I do not know of many drinks than provide the nutrition needed from food, but I have never heard of coffee before."

What.....what is coffee....he didn't know what.... BLASHPHEMY!Mot's face said it all. "No way. You've never had it?" He coughed into his hand. Perhaps he overreacted. "Well, it isn't for everyone. I like mine black, but a lot of people drink it with milk and sugar." He looked at his cup, then back to Yin. "Want to try some?" He offered his cup. Oh, maybe he should mention how bitter it is? Oops~.

Ordinarily Yin would have balked at taking another's beverage from them, but the look that Mot was giving him compelled him to reach forward and take the cup. He was rather glad to hear that it did not contain milk, which was a liquid reserved for feeding animals that needed to be fattened, and certainly deserved no place in his diet.
He took a quick drink, and his face scrunched up slightly. Coffee must be an acquired taste. Still, he was accustomed to drinking tea which was somewhat bitter, so it was not completely unpalatable. And actually, as the warmth began to spread through him, he began to feel somewhat calm. Interesting.
He handed the cup back. Contemplating it. "It is...unique. But not bad."

Ah. Such a fun face. It always was amusing when someone tried it for the first time. Mot grinned and took the cup back as it was offered. "Unique? Haha! Maybe. I can't go a day without a cup." Or two. Or three.
"So, you said you were headed to Out Of The Closet?" Mot asked, looking around the maul curiously. Where was that store again... "Oh, you dodged my question earlier. Who's this Princess you seem to fancy?" Yep. He wasn't letting that go.

Mot should have let it go. Really.
"Princess Eva is perfect," he gushed happily. He then proceeded to talk about how wonderful she was the entire way to the store. How tidy she was, how when she wanted to hunt she was excellent at it, no tidbit of information was too small. He had not truly realized he had done so, and thus monopolized the conversation, until the were standing outside of the pet store in question.
Yin felt his face heat up just a tiny bit at the realization. "I must apologize Mot, I had not meant to speak so much. Do you have a companion of your own?"

Surprisingly, Mot didn't mind the gushing. It gave him something to listen to the whole way there. It was kind of endearing how much this boil seemed to fancy this mystery ghoul. "I didn't mind. You certainly seem to idealize this ghoul." Mot chuckled, waving a hand dismissively.
"Me?" Mot smiled warmly, and entered the store with Yin. "I do. Her name is Hel. A Valkyrie. She's uh... a very proud sort." The reaper wasn't sure how else to nicely say that Hel was stubborn. "She's passionate, and has a few qualities I both lack and admire."
The reaper could go on, but he didn't wish to gush. It got him all flustered and embarrassed. He cleared his throat and gestured at the contents of the store. "So, what were you thinking of getting your Princess?"

"Lady Hel?" Suddenly the mantodae boil approved of the reaper ghoul even more. She was fierce, a very good fighter, and she had a chosen. She was safe. Perhaps he should try to spar and train with her more often, she certainly seemed strong enough to teach him a thing or two. "I have met her, and she is an admirable fighter. You are lucky to have been chosen by her."
He then glanced toward the store in question and started walking in. "I am not sure, but last time I was here I saw a food bowl I think she would approve of. I just feel as though she deserves something special." He smiled brightly and turned down the isle, only to frown at what he saw. The bowl was not there any longer. That was...unfortunate. "Oh, I supposed someone must have bought it already." He tried not to sigh. "I apologize but it may take me a few minutes to pick something else out."

"So you know her." Mot chuckled. His ghoulfriend was rather infamous. He wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. However, Yin's choice in words baffled Mot, cocking his head to the side with an uncertain smile lingering on his face. "Chosen?" Mot had thought it was a mutual thing, honestly... "Uh, yes. I am lucky to have her."
Mot noted the frown as Yin discovered the gift he had in mind was gone, feeling sympathetic to his plight. "No worries. I came along of my own will. Take your time. What sort of pet does she have?"

That was...an odd question. Yin tilted his head in confusion as he continued to scan the options presented to him. He had no idea if she would even consent to wear a collar, and she barely tolerated her ribbon when he took her out on walks. No, he had better go with something she would not wear. There were a few cute brushes that he began to migrate to, Princess Eva would love the attention. He plucked one off of the display and examined it as he answered.
"I suppose her pet is...me? I believe that is how she would view things."

Blink.
Blink blink.
"I..I am lost.." Mot admitted sheepishly, scratching his neck. Mot assumed they were pet shopping. What..
Was... this some kind of sexy fetish store?
Mot turned beet red.
Just what kinky things was this boil and ghoul into?

Lost? But they had walked to the store together. The poor boil was turning red, and was likely embarrassed to admit it. "I am sorry that you got lost, if you require assistance I would be more than happy to show you."
He stroked the brush in his hands lightly, if a bit lovingly as he thought about how must Princess Eva would like it. Yes, this was it. He turned toward the counter, he would have to check out before helping Mot.
