"Rochhhh I need another piiiick. Mine broke!"
Danny was outside her best friend's dorm, pounding loudly on the door. She'd been hard at work with a new song, and had incinerated yet another one of the flimsy things in frustration. You'd think she would just stockpile up on them, but she still hadn't learned.
It seemed Roch wasn't in though, apparent by the lack of response. She waited a few minutes, but still nothing. Oh well, he was probably out.
Except then he didn't show up to class. That was okay, Roch skipped a lot. Then he didn't show up to Fright Music club. That was highly unusual- Roch loved FMC.
Danny was beginning to get worried. It seemed every time she visited, he was gone somewhere. Could he really be that busy? She decided to send him a message or two on groanspring. Or maybe twenty.
Nothing.
Where had that boil gone?! Was he kidnapped? On vacation? It wasn't like Roch to just leave her like this. Not like- ... Not like Rikki. Roch wouldn't do this to her. He couldn't. No, he was definitely just ... just skipping.
She decided to use her spare key. She wasn't really ... supposed to. Well ... actually she kind of stole it from Roch, so she DEFINITELY wasn't supposed to. She'd never had a reason to use it before though. Danny put the key in the lock, and twisted.

Hel clambered down the steps leading to the first floor of the reaper dorms, about to head out with the simple intention for a walk. As she rounded the corner and happened to peer down one of the corridors though, she was met by a peculiar sight. Danny stood out like a sore thumb in the reaper dorms…and what was she doing all the way down at Roch’s door…like she was trying to get in? The ghoul tilted her head, watching her for another moment curiously before it got the better of her and she headed down the hall.
“Danny.” She greeted once she was close enough. “…What are you up to?”

The sound of her own name caught her off guard. Someone was calling for? Danny peeked her head out the door. Oh! It was Hel. Danny had never really said more than a few sentences to the ghoul, but from what she could tell, Roch and Hel were good chums. Anyone was that friends with Roch was okay by her.
Except Edel.
Maybe Hel knew where he was too! "Hel! Hi," Danny replied, shooting the ghoul a mouth full of pearly whites. "Um, you wouldn'tve happened to see Roch, would you?"
She bit her lip. If Hel did know she would be relieved certainly, but also a little hurt. Why would Roch tell Hel and not her? Nevermind that. Best to just wait for Hel's answer first!

The reaper wandered even closer, and ended up stopping in the door way to Roch’s room. Wait…he wasn’t in there? So what was Danny doing in there?
“Uh…no, I have not.” But that necessarily wasn’t uncommon. Students left their dorm rooms all the time! “…Have you ah…you know…called him?” That was one good thing about phones…you could quickly and easily reach someone without having to wait for them.

Danny was already walking back into the room when Hel asked her question. Danny turned around abruptly and gave Hel a very serious look.
"Seven times yesterday, three times the day before and five times the day before that." She checked her phone quickly then added, "And once so far today. Should I call again do you think?" She threw a worried look at Hel. Perhaps her calls hadn't been adaquate enough for Roch?
Needless to say, Danny was freaking out. She'd already had Rikki leave her without notice, she couldn't have Roch doing the same. Did people just ... not like her? Was she really that easy to leave? A frown crossed her face. She was worried. Really worried.

Hel blinked, and then furrowed her brows. Er…wait…Danny had called him that many times already over the past few days and he hadn’t answered? Didn’t that boil live on his phone or something? He was like Mot in that aspect…
The reaper reached up and drummed her fingers on her chin in thought. You know…now that she thought about it…Groanspring had been a bit…quiet from his end, huh? This was…odd. “…Danny…when was the last time you heard from him? What did he say?”

Danny looked at Hel, then retreated to the dark place that was her jumbled memory. Roch had last really talked to her about Rikki ever so many days ago. That wasn't the last time she talked to him though, no ... the last time was probably after FEAR class. They'd said a short goodbye, but Danny didn't think he would disappear like that! Otherwise ... she would have made it more meaningful?
"After FEAR class on Moonday I think?" she said, putting her hand on her chin in the same way. "I said bye and he left for his dorm ... I haven't seen him since!"
Danny suddenly remembered why she was here, and walked into the dorm, examining it. There was definitely no Roch here. She peeked in the bathroom just in case, but still nothing. The boil was definitely gone. Just gone.
Hesitantly, she said, "I already checked the Fright Music Club room, and he hasn't been in any of his classes ... do you know places he might be Hel?" Danny could scarcely imagine places that Hel might know of that she wouldn't, but two heads working together were always better than one; especially when that one was Danny.

“Alright…” Hel’s brows furrowed and a hand came up to rub her chin. Hmm. She knew that it possibly wasn’t too uncommon for him to be gone for stretches of time if the Christmastival play practices were of any example…but what about now? If Danny was concerned about where he was, then something had to be up, right? Hmmm…
“Places he might be…?” Hel’s brows furrowed more. “…Aside from the school, or the Maul food court, friend…I do not have any definite ideas.” He didn’t like…permanently leave…did he?

Danny nodded, looking around his room one more time. Still no Roch, darnit. Why couldn't he just appear or something like ghosts always did? She was beginning to get worried dammit!
With Hel's list of places, Danny looked down, thinking fervidly. "Well I haven't checked all of the school, so we could do that?" She gave Hel a hopeful look, and then continued, "We can't go to the Maul right now, and I don't think Roch would spend this many days at a food court." Danny was adding a surprising bit of logic to this. Perhaps the worry had jumpstarted her mind?
"A-Anyways, let's go look around? I'm sure he's here somewhere," Danny said. She didn't add it, but she was worried that if she found him, he might not want to find her. "Let's check ... the library? I haven't gone there yet."

Hmm.
Hel wasn’t sure how she got roped into this, or if there really was a cause for concern yet but…well…maybe. Maybe there was. With as elusive Roch could be though, she sure hoped this wasn’t about to turn into a wild goose chase. “Ah…alright.” The reaper agreed with a nod of her head. “The library it is first.” Though really, that might be the last place to look. She really couldn’t imagine Roch spending any time there, but at least they’d get it out of the way.
“After you, Danny.” Hel was going to make sure the punk’s room was locked up before they left.
