Jude had been spending time brooding after the whole 'demotion' event that had occurred at the last class he'd gone to. Sure, he learned something neat about another type of weapons but it had left a bad taste in his mouth thanks to the whole being demoted part of the ordeal. Something needed to be done. He'd gotten his fingers broken to get his promotion. He went through a Princess Dolphin phase.

He earned that promotion in spades or so he felt.

Still, there was nothing to be done except stare through the list of External Missions on his cellphone and try to ponder who he should rope into it along side him or if he should find one he could do on his own. He sat on the table at the cafeteria with a steaming cup of coffee at hand nearby as he stared at the list.

Nope. Not that one. No.

...Hmm..

{Ssstop being picky, Jude.}

A grunt came out in response and he just kept looking.

Otto's leg was getting better and he wasn't limping as much, so why was he still wheeling around in an office chair?

Because it's ******** fun. Not that Otto would admit it.

His journey ended as he entered the cafeteria, getting himself a little something from what selection they had and wheeling himself toward a table. His eyes caught Jude, and his face took on a look that could not be described.
Don't get him wrong, Jude was one of the few people he could kind of tolerate, but last they met, they'd both been high on Joy Formula.

Otto wanted to forget.

The approach of something wheeling toward his vicinity caught his attention and it made him glance up from his phone and there was just a stare. The kind of stare that said that he was ashamed of his past behavior when around Otto.

Perhaps ashamed was a strong word but it was somewhere around that area of emotion that he felt as he tilted his head back toward his phone suddenly very interested in it.

Tell him your secrets tiny phone. Tell it all to him.

He couldn't hide behind the phone forever seeing as he'd seen the other male Hunter...

"Sup?" He said in a tone that practically dripped with awkward. Amused Yom was amused.

Dammit. he'd almost avoided contact.

"Uhh.... nuthin' much. Eatin' stuff. You?" He muttered back. his squeaky wheels halting nearby. Bah. Jude should be so lucky that Otto was feeling particularly decent that day. Be grateful! He could just as easily ignore him and sit elsewhere!

The young hunter stuffed his mouth with a big bite of the bread he'd bought.

"Eating stuff is always good." Jude replied, clearly he was the master of conversation and all things dealing in it.

He lifted up his cup and took a long drink from it before he answered, "Not much. Stuff." Jude said as he continued to stare down at his phone screen though he did pause at one particular entry. That one held promise. Now it came time to decide if he should do this on his own or not.

"So. Uh. Nice chair," he continued on.

Otto's icy gaze lifted from his bread at Jude. He could have smirked or given any semblance of friendliness, but he simply narrowed his gaze and then continued to eat. "Yah. Took it from some office." He muttered with a mouthful of food. He swallowed his food and picked at his teeth with a finger nail.

Jude seemed very interested i that phone of his. Otto decided he needed to know why. "Mr. Popular, or what?" He assumed he was texting his legion of fans or something.

"Mm. Neat. Nice looting then," he replied with a small shrug.

He glanced up at Otto and raised an eyebrow, "No. Not at all," he shifted a shoulder and tilted his head down at the screen again. "I am just looking into some extra missions and all that."

...He was looking to ask someone to join him on one. Then again Otto might not be that interested at all.

"There is an entry here about some desecrated graves," he said as he tucked the phone away into his uniform jacket, "you want in on it with me?"

Ew, extra work? Color Otto so uninterested. This guy was a total dweeb looking for extra work. Otto rolled his eyes and finished his bread.

By the time he was done and licking his lips clean of crumbs, Jude had said something that caught Otto's attention. Desecrated graves? While Otto was jaded to the value of respecting the dead after seeing so much of it, graves were something for the living to go back to. It was meant for family and friends who could not let go.
It seemed this act stirred a bit of a hunger for justice with the young blonde.

"..." Otto looked thoughtful, or maybe just grumpy, and then shrugged. "Count me in."

Jude had noted the look on Otto's face but figured that the youth was suffering from a sudden case of bad gas and thus just took a long drink from his coffee to empty the cup before he got to his feet, "Let's ride, Tonto."

Small pause.

"That is if you got everything you need already?" He supposed he could wait around on Otto if he had to.

...Maybe.

He probably would. Just cause.
PostPosted: Sun Jan 29, 2012 4:27 pm

Tonto? Meh, whatever. Otto started to push himself forward again until Jude seemed to hesitate. "Naw, I got everything... oh, maybe I should drop off my ride in my room." If he left it by the portal someone might steal it! Thieves everywhere, man. Stealing what he stole.

The young blond shoved himself forward and rolled away. "I'll meet ya at the portal." He called out, turning a corner and rolling back toward the dorms.

~~And then Dorms happened~

Bah. Travelling on foot was overrated!
By the time he arrived at the portal, his limp got a bit worse after having not used his leg properly in so long. He grumbled under his breath as he hopped along until he reached the portal.

Jude waited for Otto by the portal at the lighthouse just idly checking some things over on the phone such as location and other information that was needed for them to proceed. When Hopalong Otto appeared he gave a small wave, "That didn't take too long."

He tucked the phone away again, adjusted his coat, and then went about putting in the portal request for the mission they were going to attempt. Once everything was in and confirmed he gestured toward the portal before going through himself.

Upon arrival Jude glanced around the area observing the graveyard with a bit of interest after he'd managed to get oriented again.

"Whenever you're ready," he announced to Otto.

Mission Mechanics
* MECHANICS: RP assembling a team, as necessary, before heading towards the Lighthouse portal to request a portal to Survey Mission 3B. Once there, roll a 100-sided dice and match the roleplay to the results below, as well as any reactions. Each player must roll at least three times with rped reactions. Once they have "collected enough information", they can return back and submit a report in this thread.
1- 20: The graveyard is a very large lot, other than the very obvious empty lots, nothing else seems to catch your eye.
21 - 40: You notice that a lot of the empty lots still have grave markers on them. All of them are missing a deceased date... that's unusual, isn't it?
41 - 60: A strange sort of black plant - roots - seem to be sprouting out from the "desecrated" lots, it visibly withers and disappears upon contact with any light source.
61 - 80: Even the coffins, you notice, are missing. There is indeed no signs of the bodies, or pieces of it anywhere, but you notice someone standing in the distance, wearing a black petticoat and an umbrella - even though its not raining - you look back at them again but they're gone.
81- 100: Something clatters under your feet, strange in texture. You dig it up - a broken old fashioned pocket watch is buried underneath.

Was Jude being sarcastic with him? Either way, he received a disgruntled look from Otto. Once all was in place, he followed Jude into the portal.

MISSION TIME

Otto crossed his arms and survey'd the area. Where to start? He didn't really have a clue. Otto took a few steps into the graveyard, eyeing every inch of the area with severe judgement. "So what'd they say happened here again?" Otto asked Jude, wondering if there was more information about why some desecrated graves was a Hunter worthy mission. That seemed more like Police business.

He paused as something seemed to clatter under his foot. The trainee stopped his slow pace and took a step back. Was something there? Otto knelt down and felt around for what he'd stepped on. After some digging, he pulled up a pocket watch. Otto seemed somewhat intrigued. It was certainly interesting. "What a piece of junk." Or... not. Still, it was evidence, right?

Surprisingly enough, Jude wasn't being sarcastic at all.

As he took a look around he noted a few empty lots but not much else it seemed pretty consistent with what had already been mentioned - that or they just simply didn't get around to filling those particular lots yet it was hard to tell without getting closer but it seemed a better idea to stick near Otto.

"Mmm, just that the bodies are apparently going missing from their graves, kinda weird. Maybe it is just graverobbers," he shrugged a bit, "though I thought we were passed the age where people took bodies from their resting place for weird experiments."

..And other things that Jude would rather not ponder.

Jude glanced at what Otto had found, "Hm. Maybe it was dropped by one of the bodies?"

Bodies gone missing? That was gross, but not strange. But there had to be a purpose for their being here. He'd just have to keep digging up evidence for their almighty masters.

Jude's suggestion seemed logical, as the watch seemed old. "Yeah. maybe." Otto pocketed the device and continued his search.

Which was a whole lot of nothing. "Ya know it's real hard tryin' ta pick out anythin' out of place in a grave yard." Otto mused, kicking at some dirt.

"Just a bit, at least when we're looking at some of the empty plots and they don't seem like they were dug up by anyone in particular, though maybe we should take a closer look at a few of them just in case." Jude said thoughtfully as a booted foot clattered against something. He stared down with an eyebrow rising a bit.

"..Another one?" He leaned down and picked up pocket watch and looked it over thoughtfully. "Think maybe they're targeting just the ones with watches or something?"

A weird conclusion but not too weird.
