 "Finally!" A fox ran through an open field, not caring if anyone saw him. He just had to get away. Where? He didn't care. As long as it wasn't anywhere his siblings were. His patience finally reached its last thread, and he had to leave before he did something he regreted. When were his brother and sisters going to learn that he wasn't a kit anymore? That he could take care of himself?
No matter how many times he told them though, they insisted on being protective or parental to him. Like he didn't know how to make his own choices in life...Well he'd show them. He could survive on his own. Totally.

 Techno stumbled out of the forest looking rather pissed off and unhappy. Who could blame her though. She was covered in dirt, mud, and other stuff she did not want to know. She had been walking or more or less running through the forest looking for a way out when she had tripped over a root and went tumbling headfirst over her paws. She had been stuck in the forest a little lost thought she would never admit it and had began to freak out. When she had tripped she stumbled and went over the side of the path and tumbled down the hill. On the way down she ended up rolling in mud and god knows what else.
Letting out a rather stressed breath she glared at the state of her fur. She wanted to scream. Yes screaming sounded like a rather good idea at the moment.

Annor slowed himself to a walk as he started to feel himself winded from the rough pace he had set. Walking was just as good. It still got him moving. Even better was a bunch of trees he spotted up ahead. With a grin, the fox picked his pace up slightly, eager to get into the shade and rest for a bit.
At least, that was until some...creature....emerged from the trees. Annor slid to a halt and tilted his head. What was it? Would it attack? Would it annoy him? Perhaps he should just leave now. Surely he'd be able to outrun it if it came after him. But...why should he run? Instead Annor raised a paw. "Hey there!"

Due to the fact her attention was elsewhere she hadn't heard the male coming until he spoke to her. That caused her to jump. She hadn't been expecting to see any one for miles. Looking up she spotted the colorful male and couldn't help but blush a little. Of course. She had the wort day possible, covered in grime and nastyness, and here was a front row seat for this guy. Just wonderful. What else could go wrong?
"Uhh... hey..." Was all she was able to get out. That and a good taste of the rank mud from her lips.

Annor was surprised. It spoke. Okay, so he had gave the greetings in hope that it would speak, but it still surprised him. And the voice sounded feminine. Even more interesting. Getting his voice back, Annor smiled. "Sorry if I had startled you. I was just intrigued by the way you look."
A thought made him pause. Was this the female's actual look? What if it wasn't? Would she get upset? Or, if it was the way she looked, would she get upset then too?

"You didn't startle me..." She retaliated. Ok that wasn't true... He did scare her but she wasn't going to let him know that. She looked up at the male and blushed a little. Of course he wouldn't be able to see it because of the way she looked. That was one good thing that came out of this stupid mud. "Thanks... I often love to frolic in rank mud. I think it makes me look great." Of couse it was complete sarcasm.

Annor smiled. "Well they do say that mud is good for the skin." Perhaps he should try it himself. His smile grew as he thought about what his siblings would say if they saw him splattered in mud. But it quickly turned into a frown. They'd get on his case, that was what. Treat him like a child, a baby. Bah!
He bowed his head slightly. "I am glad I did not startle you. Though I must admit, you startled me a little."

She raised an eyebrow as she looked at him when he said mud was good for the skin. She had heard that herself. "Yes but... Im pretty sure they were taking about the mud that doesn't smell and sting." She made a face as the smell of the mud once again went up her nose. "I had no idea other fixes were in the area. I didn't mean to startle you." She made another face. "Ok i need to wash this off."

Annor laughed. "I am sure; but is there not also a saying along the lines of 'pain is beauty'?" The male looked around them, getting his sense of direction back. "I believe I had passed by some sort of large body of water." He honestly had not stopped, so he did not know how large it was; but it would be better than nothing right? He looked back at the vixen. "Unless you know of anyplace."

"If pain is beauty then im the spawn of a Deity." Techno said with a sarcastic tone slipping off her tongue. She thought about what he had said and if there was any body of water that she knew about that happened to be close to them. Of course there wasn't... at least she couldn't remember if their was. She was beginning to think that the mud was dropping her IQ by the second. She glanced at the male and nodded. "Ok, lets try this lake of yours because I cant seem to remember for the life of me if their was one near us."

Annor's lip quirked, but he didn't comment on the diety comment. Instead he turned back to the direction he had come from. "Alright then. Follow me." He was pretty sure he remembered where the lake was. How idiotic he would seem if he claimed to know where water was and then couldn't find it.

"You got it... all I want to do is take a bath, eat, then rest somewhere cool." She sighed as she began to follow the male. "By the way... my name it Techno... whats yours?" She eyed the male looking over his coat. His colors and designs were really neat. She had never seen someone with colors like that... we'll except herself of course. "What were you doing out here?" She found herself asking considering it was a pretty remote area and she hadn't seem many other foxes out here.

Annor gave a self-concious chuckle. "Sorry. Should have introduced myself. I' m Annor." He looked away and shrugged, taking a moment to see where they were and where they had to go before answering. "I just had to get away from my family for a bit." He turned his head to smile at the female. "You? I bet it sure isn't for a mud bath."

"Annor..." She nodded. "Well its nice to meet you Annor." She smiled as best she could with being covered in mud. "Really... I have no idea what I would have done if you didn't come around. Well... actually I do. I would have been stuck out here with no way to wash this stuff off." She looked over at him when he mentioned that he was getting away from his family. "I understand that." She then raised an eyebrow when he asked why she was there. "Not at all... Actually I was just taking a walk when I fell into it."
