- capable of holding his breath for 5-8 minutes with ease, even moving actively underwater, like seals.
- natural in the water, can swim quickly and streamline himself to push through the water like a jet.
- can hear much higher pitches than humans.
Appearance: Selkie males are said to be attractive to human females and Coin isn't off to a bad start. He has royal cheekbones, high and visible, and sparkling eyes, glittering with humour. He isn't a feminine man, as he possesses a strong jaw, though it is hairless - and even when he does grow hair, it's downy and light. The effect is interesting, to say the least, and thus Coin avoids it as much as he can. His hair on his head is dark in color and wavy and his skin is a sunkissed tan. His hair, though dark, has some lighter streaks from his constant time in the sun. For clothes, he wears things that are loose and airy; he likes his skin to be able to breathe as the only thing he wants to be restrictive is his seal's skin and his natural form. His colours are likely ocean natural colours, mostly subdued with hints of the vibrant deep ocean shades. Con thinks that he is beautiful and so depends on his lovely features more than fabulous outfits.
As a child, I was thinking maybe just a straight up swimming outfit? A wetsuit type thing?
As a teen, umm, maybe just beach bum sort of clothing (so loose trunks, maybe a tank top type shirt, like he just popped out of the water..
An adult? Maybe finally a little dressy, normal clothes, maybe even slack type pants with a button down shirt - but even when he's dressed up, he always has a sort of messiness to him, probably because his hair is rarely neat.

shades the middle colour and that brown, i think, blends well with the bluish brown from the above.
Natural tints - the last two, the blue and the purple, are really my favourites.
Brighter accents - the pearly green here
these too - the two blues, first, then the brown and the 4th colour, the first green.
and these the green and the blue, very sparsely.
and maybe these for sharp contrasts - the blue and the green here, just as a pop of colour in places.
Keywords: Physical, laid-back, possessive, oblivious.
Personality: First and foremost, Coin is very kind to females; he does anything he can to accommodate them, especially if they are crying. If it's in his power and it will make a woman smile, Coin is likely to attempt it in some degree. As he grows, he'll go from just women to men too - though only men that he thinks might be interested (or could eventually be interested in him) to some degree. Because, secondly, Coin is a very sexual creature. Or at least, he will be. He hates seeing women (and later men who he thinks are either bisexual or homosexual, though this could apply if Coin had a burning crush on another male) upset when he knows that he could make them happy. In fact, Coin wants to make everyone happy! He also has no conception of the idea of fidelity and monogamy and cannot understand why some men and women, if their partner is not enough but they still love them, do not seek outside influences to better it. Because of this lack of understanding and his own instincts, Coin finds himself frequently at the sides of those already engaged in some form of a relationship, trying to worm his way into their lives to help them. So, by the time that Coin is an adult, I can foresee him ruining some relationships and being totally uncomprehending as to what has happened.
Coin, himself, confusingly enough, is not polyamorous - and if he were to ever find someone he wished to be his wife, he would content to keep her as his forever and allow no one else near his heart and be indescribably protective of her. Of course, it stands to be mentioned that Coin rarely feels any love for those that he wishes to help - only pity and a sense of, if you will, duty to them to help make them happy - and so would keep trying to make people happy unless he were suitably fussed at or warned. Then, and only then, under the threat of losing the person he has decided to be his wife, would he finally understand the idea of monogamy. Unwillingly. Because you see, those people are unhappy and he could make them happy if they'd let him and if - sweetie but really -- okay... He's quite jealous, though, and would get angry if someone tried to take his wife away or flirt with her - she is his, and he is hers (where it counts, in the heart) - and someone trying to mess with that will get the side of Coin that rarely comes out, likely due to how selkie women were treated - though his wife would not be a selkie, he would probably think of her as one.
Coin is of the opinion that being nearer to other people will help fix everything - he loves to be in contact with his friends and family, even if it's something as simple as a hand placed on someone else's. Like with monogamy, he fails to grasp that others may not be as keen on hugging and touching as he is and so will frequently charge blindly into a hug if he feels that it would help make someone happy. He hates so very keenly to see someone upset, which makes him very confused that the thing that was supposed to make them happy made them sadder somehow, which leads to the conclusion (in his mind) that he very obviously is the reason that they are upset and will take the blame on himself, apologising profusely and trying to regain their favour.
In that way, when Coinneach is younger, he finds himself frequently in trouble. As a child, he's still very touchy and clingy - he likes to give hugs and hold other peoples' hands and arms or play with their hair, and while Candace has absolutely no problem with this (and likely encourages it), he doesn't know how to figure out when it's okay to initiate contact and when it's not. He will always hate being in trouble, though while he's younger he might be a bit of a cry-baby over it, especially if they're his friends - he is clingy emotionally on top of being physically clingy and very quickly decides who is his friend and who isn't, so, that being said, he is not necessarily considered a friend by ALL of his friends - and is likely quick to cry if he's scolded over trying to give a hug. Because of this, he almost never gets in trouble with Candace - she can't handle yelling at him while he's crying and anytime she attempts to fuss at him generally degrades into a hugfest, Candace trying to console him as Coin tries to explain what he meant to do and he never meant anyone harm. He's too sweet, however, to use this for his own gain - he likely has never even fathomed of fake crying to get out of punishment; if he really believes he doesn't deserve it or if he's upset by it, he simply shuts down and stops talking to them until he can't bear it anymore.
He hates seeing people sad from his youth on, and while he's young and can't do that much, he's more than happy to try making a fool of himself if he thinks it could make someone smile. Of course, this means that Coinneach is frequently injured in some way, which he tells Candace is because he was playing roughly with people instead of trying to do a cartwheel (that failed spectacularly and ended with some dirt in his mouth). He likes to pretend that he's tough - it fails, usually, because of his cry-baby qualities as a child, but he tries anyway - and is reticent to admit how much he'd do to cheer someone up, often gruffly dismissing it as something he would've done anyway.
He has a very hard time understanding that people are not like him. Candace does her best to break him of this and make him realise that the world is a diverse place filled with diverse people, but Coinneach struggles to understand that there are people in the world who can't swim and don't even want to learn, people that hate the water, and he thinks that clearly they just haven't experienced the beauty of the ocean in the right way. And he can educate them, he knows it, if they'll just come to the beach with him and sit down. Because of this, despite how much he wants to make people happy, he is frequently the subject of much ire as he tries to forcibly subject people to their fears - he means well, though, really, but just can't understand how people can't understand that water is the best.
Likes: Hugs, making people happy, being near the ocean/water in general, being hit on.
Dislikes: Women crying, being hit at, being rejected, places that are way too hot.
Hobbies: Swimming or just generally sitting/being in the water.
Finding people who are unhappy and trying to make them happy.

Anything Else: cheesily fitting for Candace, male selkies are summoned by shedding 7 tears into the ocean. would probably find his bottle after moping at the beach.
In his free time, Coin likes to work with his hands - he collects things from the beach and likes to make things out of them; he makes shell necklaces and bracelets, though doesn't wear that many of them. He mostly gives them away as gifts and presents whenever someone's birthday is coming up.

Occupation: Candi sells goods at a small bakery, though she aspires to bake for them instead.
Appearance: Candace is a fairly tall woman, coming up to about 5'7. Her hair is a mess of medium-dark brown curls, kept about shoulder length. Her bangs cover the left side of her face entirely, and covers her heterochromatic eye. The right is a deep, chocolatey brown while the left is both blue and brown - the inside is the same colour brown with a greenish-blue starburst right up next to her pupil.
She's quite ashamed of that fact, though, and keeps it well hidden beneath her bangs; it's unlikely that she'd ever show it off to anyone except those that she trusts greatly. She feels as though it's one more thing keeping her from being a normal person and tales of how common heterochromia is does nothing for her.
Her body type is fairly big; she's not thin but she's not fat. She has ample breasts and a hourglass figure, though her waist seems proportional to her body and not too tiny. Her face is finely, delicately shaped, with high cheekbones and lush lips.

Personality: Raised in a sort of old fashioned home with a mother who never did anything but cook or clean and numerous siblings, Candace was led to believe the summation of a woman's role was to cook and clean and have children and her worth was defined by the quality of the above.
It was thus quite unfortunate when she was found to be barren - it was though all of her desires, her dreams, and her hopes were dashed all at once with one overwhelmingly powerful blow. It depressed and her, and still does, that she failed so entirely at the one thing she craved with all er being - having children. It also, at least in her own mind, denied the right to a husband, a significant other, a half to complete hers -- after all, she was uselessly barren and could not provide children for him. She was but a girl herself, 16 at the most, when this unfortunate quality was discovered about her person and she has felt like a failure since.
Candace, though, is a loving, gentle woman with an easily excitable side that eagerly finds replacements for the children she can never have biologically. Animals, other people... anything and everything that she can express emotions towards and baby that can love her back if they choose, but she's quite over-bearing and clingy to those she's "adopted" and has issues letting go of them - she wants to cling to them forever.
Anything Else: Candace found the bottle propped up against a tree in one of her walks. The bottle was partially buried, like it liked it there, but it still wanted to be noticed as the top was sitting as straight out of the ground as was possible. It made Candace chuckle; she'd thought she'd only imagined the little vain creature fighting between comfort and attention. She brought it home as it was something that brought her joy. She cleaned it off and put it on her desk, where she'd speak to it whenever she started to get lonely or bored.
History: Candace's family was unfortunately big; 7 other siblings filled her house from a young age but few of them were female - Candace was one of two. Since less than half of the children were female and able to carry children, her old fashioned parents put all of their hopes on their female children. Candace especially wanted nothing more than to please her parents - she had dreams of having as many kids as her mom had so that she could please them.
When she was in her early 20s, it became apparent that Candace wasn't ever going to have children. She had denied it for a few years but it became something she had to face. Because of her old fashioned belief that women were only good to produce children for their husbands, Candace decided that she could never get married or be happy since she couldn't produce children for the man she was married to. Since then she's craved replacements for the children she wanted more than anything.

omg what's up hi
So, Coin! The powers--yeah, I see you do have to discuss it with Chrys one time if you do get him. Doesn't need to be really immediate but it's also nice to have an idea. But saying that I would like it if you would put in a few traits that you think would apply to him, passive skills such as maybe he is a really fast and natural swimmer (or something more extraordinary than that), just ideas to help you shape him up better and these traits would ultimately also affect his personality and how he relates and socializes with other people/dusts.
I really do love his appearance ok. u vu Hits all my weak spots but yeah--if you would also have some ideas for his clothing, that would be great too, by that I mean a sort of theme that would go with it--or not. And--those are a lot of colours! Perhaps you could direct me to which would be more of your favourites? The colour schemes are nice and varied though.
For the personality, I really did like the description on his relations to females and his mindset. It's just that perhaps you focused too much on his romance/sexual characteristics rather than other things? I still think that I don't know too much about him because of that. And also most of these things also do apply mostly to when he is teen-adult cause it's mostly relationships/affection/intimacy--which, for a child isn't that applicable I would suppose? So yeah, probably I would need more of his personality regarding his he relates with friends, his guardian (relate him more with her), the world, what he likes to do etc. But I do like the concept of it all very much! c:
And with the guardian, everything looks great but I do also what to know how she ended up in Amies, how is she living there, was she born there, visiting etc? Though not all world info is up so I would understand if you're not writing it yet because you want to read up on the information eventually. I also--did like your idea of how she will find the bottle.
