Painite was hanging out near the gallery where this insipid art display was being shown. She was not too much a fan of modern art, but her opinion of it had been much more open minded before she decided she would target it for energy gathering means. Maybe she just liked it less now because Benitoite hated it so much, and he was her friend.

Anything he didn't like, she didn't like. Well, maybe that wasn't how it worked, but she would certainly not lose any sleep about messing up something like this. It was already pretentious and unbearable, and she had only been there a short time to scope out their entrances and escapes, and to see just how many people they were dealing with.

She liked to be prepared, and this was going to be fun.

Her kitten was safe at home, all situated in her little bed, well fed and warm. Painite would get back to her as soon as she could, finding that she was mothering the little thing more than she had thought she would be. And she knew she loved cats. But maybe there was more in that instinct than just her love of kittens. She liked taking care of a life that needed her.

Maybe that was why she liked her duties as a General so much, and awakening new Lieutenants. Helping them into the fold and training them, guiding them. Letting them flourish and be who they were destined to be. It was just a part of who she was, but she had never been able to explore it before her life really began when she was corrupted.

Humming softly to herself, she sat in wait on the roof of a building nearby.

This gallery was the one he'd taken notes on, so long ago. That night had not gone as simply as he'd wanted, ending with him in the hospital being stitched up with Gently at his side and handling the excuse. He really was glad for her quick thinking mind, he hadn't been able to think of a single reason for being stabbed in the side. Gently had been the one to come up with the excuse, god he'd wanted to hug her for her quick thinking then.

He'd told her, on the way in to the hospital, what had truly happened. Now though he was back here, and not looking to fulfill his plans to drain energy from the gallery goers. He had decided to teleport in, arriving on the same roof as Painite. A smile in place as he landed on his heels lightly.

"My information, is it still correct in he amount of people inside?" He asked, hoping his information was still accurate. He didn't want them running into something they weren't expect, too few people or far too many.

Sighing he looked down off the roof of the building they were on. He might like snow but it was over a foot deep on the ground. Sidewalks and streets were plowed and shoveled but the area between street and sidewalk was piled high in snow. He'd had to shovel out in front of his and Lily's place. That snow still covered the ground like a white blanket, and with more coming down it covered up the dirty snow and kept everything blanketed in pure white powder.

Looking up he flashed Gently a bright smile. "Back door or front door?"

Painite nodded her head.

"As far as I can tell, it seems so," she said, smiling in greeting. She didn't approve of his wasting the energy to teleport, but they could take their time before they leaped in to strike.

She doubted it would impact them, but she always considered everything she could. Of course, she often missed key details in this effort to think of everything, going to the obscure and failing to see the obvious. It was part of why she had been so self foiling in the past, though she was trying to work on that as well.

"I think," she said, considering the doors, "the back door is the best entry point. No one is going in that way save staff, and we'll be able to slip our way in and drain anyone that gets in the way. Then we'll have the chunk of the guests at our mercy. I do think we should seal the door. If we're careful about things, we can blame the whole thing on some sort of gas leak, or something bad in the art." She laughed.

Teleporting wasn't something he did often, it was something to work on really. Better to work on it for the if and when in the future when it might be needed. As draining as it was, and he really didn't like that fact, he needed to work on it and landing well.

Nodding his head. "Alright, sounds good. I'll leave the excuse of a gas leak up to you, I don't know how we can get that out and such. I lack the connections to place the blame on such a thing." And he knew Gently could easily find a way to get out the word that it had been, or was rumored to be, a gas leak which had knocked the people out.

"You don't think people will run out the front door?" He asked after a moment, wanting to be sure no one got out and ran off. It would end things too soon if people, or even one person, got our and made or a phone call or just screamed loudly enough.

Painite smiled and nodded her head. She was ready to come up with good excuses and all that. She could send the info to the right venues, even if she wasn't working at the paper any more.

She hadn't lost her connections, in the change.

"Well, once we've secured the back exit we'll secure the front. All the people that work at this event will be in and around the back, and they'll be looking out for trouble. We take them out first, and the people inside are left to enjoy their 'art', and are none the wiser. Then we can move in and crash the party. Securing the front door won't be hard after that."

She grinned.

Maybe she was making things more complicated than they needed to be, but she certainly didn't mind the challenge. This was for fun, and she was going to have it, and make sure he enjoyed himself as well.

He wasn't surprised she'd kept her contacts, he'd have been surprised if she'd lost any. He wouldn't have been surprised if she had even more contacts, somehow. So long as the right story got out all would be well, and the senshi clueless - as they should be.

"Alright, sounds good. Let's head down and across the street to them." Maybe it was more complicated but if it was he didn't say anything, he left final plans up to Painite; she had been at this longer than he had. He had just gathered the information and come up with the idea, let her handle the plans. It was a good way to work, each of them do half and then reap the rewards - energy,

"If all goes well then we need to do this more often. It should make a good amount of energy for minimal energy put out."

Painite was all about having fun and making things grand. She liked complications, but she also liked control. If this were something she estimated might be more serious, she would have taken better precautions, but at the moment she was feeling very leisurely about it.

This was like a picnic. She was going on an outing with her Captain, and she liked the idea of enjoying the evening for what it was. An excursion. Sure, they were draining energy and doing their jobs but she had never, ever had anything against throwing fun in the mix.

No surprise there.

She nodded and moved with him, leaving their hiding spot and slinking toward their target. She could just teleport but, again, where was the fun in that?

"I think you're right," she said, very much a fan of things like this. She believed in the prospects of drawing energy en masse, "And it's a bloody hoot!" When they drew near to the building she grew quieter, focused. The back door wasn't guarded on the outside, at least, but she imagined there were workers just inside that would tell them they were in the wrong place.

From the information he had, and a visit the day before his night on the roof top across the street, he had noted a back office by the back door. So there was the chance someone might be back there, the owner or a worker. But they also might be in the main part of the gallery entertaining and making money. There was no way to tel as they approached the back door.

Quite as well Benitoite watched his General, he knew she enjoyed such jobs as this. They were fun to her, she liked the plan and have fun and go in and make a scene. The town hall meeting had told him that much, he still wished he had been able to join in that event, even if he'd had to dress up like a senshi.

"Surprise me by making the next plan, or should I work something out for after this, if it works?" He asked sending her a smile. He would enjoy this if it went well, especially if they worked on planning other similar events. Maybe he could retry the college library, with help he was sure it would go better than the last time. Benitoite for his part liked gaining information so a plan, the best one possible, could be worked out. Complications didn't bother him, so long as he knew everything possible and the plan felt secure enough.

Reaching out for the handle that would open the back door. "Ladies first?" Would she want to go in first? In case someone was in the back.

She grinned at him.

"I'll come up with something fun for us, it's only fair." She chuckled but the expression grew more serious as they got closer. She needed to focus on the job at hand and she knew that any slip up would get them in deep trouble. She was not willing to fail, as much fun as she wanted to have.

Fun and victory, those were the goals here.

She saw someone just coming out from the back, which led in to a kitchen of some kind. It was small, but obviously put in place for any functions the museum might host. She saw a couple people beyond the door, but nothing they couldn't handle.

On instinct, she scooted forward and put her hand on the man's back before he had a chance to light his cigarette. Lighter and cig fell from his hands and he wobbled, Painite catching and supporting him as she drained his energy quickly. Pulling him to the side, she hid him behind a dumpster for now. There was movement in the office and she stopped, wondering if she was seen.

Happy to hear that she'd come up with something, not that he doubted she wouldn't, he followed behind her. Glancing around he was keen to being aware of the sounds around them, not wanting to be caught off guard, the Captain walked on the balls of his feet. keeping his steps silent, or at least as silent as possible he moved around the General and the man she was lowering to the ground.

A head motion was made toward the direction the sound had come from. Mouthing to her that he'd handle it. Passing her he headed into the office, casually, as though lost. Someone was indeed in the office, looked like an owner in fact. "Oh, sorry. I was looking for the bathroom...." Trailing off as innocently as he could. Watching the man come closer to him, coming around his desk, he wait till they were right in front of him.

A gloved hand reached out as he moved to let the male pass him by. His hand pressed to his back, like Painite, and started his energy draining.

Painite was always amused by how lightly the Negaverse could walk. Sure, they could move with absolute silence if they just teleported, but it was important to keep their skills up as well.

Creeping around was fun, and she loved it.

She watched Benitoite as he moved to handle the next small obstacle, though she followed him at a short distance just in case he needed any back up for what he needed to do.

They were simple, humans like this. they had no idea what to do, and certainly did not expect someone to suck their energy right out of them with a touch. They had no defense. It shouldn't have been as fun as it was, considering how easy it could be, but then this was what they were made for.

Painite smiled.

"I think the main party is waiting for us," she hummed, "I think we should move over there once we've got things secured." And they did, already, it seemed. She moved to get into the other building, confident but not without being careful. While that often caught her up, she wasn't going to let it this early in the game.

He'd learned as a child to walk on tip toes to keep quite, not wanting to wake his parents after a nightmare on his way to the kitchen...or to their bedroom. He was fairly good at it, and he wanted to make sure his heels didn't give him away as they gave away people coming down the halls in school - such loud things heels were.

With the man on the ground he nodded to his officer before the body was dragged back round the desk. Stashed under the desk, the chair pushed in, he went to join her. "Indeed, I do believe the main party is waiting for us." Offering his arm to her, with a bright smile upon his features. He couldn't help playing it up at the moment, feeling slightly giddy with the ease things were going tonight.

"From the sound of things it seems like quite the party, we'd better not make them wait. It would be quite rude to make them wait too long for us." Perhaps it was the ease of things, or the General's presence, or even both but he was certainly in a good mood. It could also be that his plan was finally being carried out and was going so well. If things continued like this they would definitely need to do something like this again.

Painite laughed and took his arm. It wasn't exactly the most common of dates, but she was more than happy to accompany him to the party for their own goals. The poor revelers and 'art' fans would not know what hit them.

Which was the point, and all the fun.

The door into the kitchen wasn't locked, and there was no one on the other side of it immediately. There was plenty of bustle inside the kitchen, though, as people were hurrying around refilling glasses and trays to take around to the guests outside. It wasn't a very big kitchen, and there weren't that many people staffed. That was all good for Painite. It meant harder work for the poor caterers, but fewer targets for them to have to worry about ruining their fun.

Once the last tray was refilled and the server scooted out, Painite looked at Benitoite.

"We can secure the kitchen, if you'd like, or just head out into the main party. As long as we make sure they don't have exits, we can do whatever we want in here." She grinned. They were going to get a lot of energy tonight.
PostPosted: Wed Mar 21, 2012 1:37 pm

Common date? Why do common when you weren't exactly a normal person, at least not any more? And was there such a thing as a common date? Perhaps, but likely not.

Glancing about the kitchen from Painite's side he tilted his head as she spoke, his eyes on the hustle and bustle of the people working the kitchen.

"I say we secure it, just to be safe. Then we move to the gallery and grab every bit of energy we can." He stated, not wanting to have to worry about the kitchen later, or have something happen due to not securing it now. He wanted to not have to worry about things while working. Noting the grin on her face he couldn't help but laugh. This was going well and it seemed like they'd do a good job with energy gathering, in terms of how much they'd grab up.

"So what do we do to secure the kitchen?" He asked, unsure of everything which should, needed, to be done.

"I like the way you think, good sir," Painite said, affecting an even more British accent for it, just for emphasis. She grinned at him, then bounced off to make herself of use.

She was having too much fun already, and they hadn't even started the real adventure. This kind of thing she could do all day, every day, and never tire of it. Gathering energy was her forte, and ridiculous plots just helped make it fun. Sure, sometimes it made the work more complicated than it had to be, but times like right now were interesting and compelling, and certainly didn't feel like work.

She motioned to answer his question, pointing him toward the door. She wanted him to grab anyone who was coming in, so she could make quick work of the people already in the kitchen. She imagined he would also take out anyone close to him, leaving her the back of the kitchen. Luckily, there was only the one door into the small space, which made teleporting around and draining the staff fairly easy and quick.
