So today I actually got up and decided to do some training with Abby(and Bo)....

We worked a bit on her heel work and wow this dog is obsessed with finding her heel/finish position. I had to be really careful with my body movements/hand signals otherwise she'd suddenly spin around and crash her rear into my leg.

And because of this heel obsession her spins and twists are off. I've had to go from small slighlty un-noticable movements to doing really wide movements so she gets what I'm asking for.

Her retrieving is coming along, but her fronts still epically fail...

Also did some crate games a few days ago to get her reacclimated to her crate and hopefully we'll work up to the point where she's much more comfortable in there especially during class and at trials...

the contact work for rear end awareness was cool, I have never seen that before. Leg weaving is good for practicing agility, were you thinking about doing freestyle with her? And ya, the paz moment was funny, "k, I brought it, here it is, wait, you can't have it yet, I need to kill it first" blaugh

Just be really careful, with more training comes more treats and with more treats, it seems like her waistline is sort of disappearing. Hard to tell in a video, but just make sure to use itty bitty treats and reduce the amount of food she gets. Cowboy is also packing it on crying but I took him off light and fit since I figured now he's off rest he;ll need the fat for energy, and then our skijoring meetings kept getting cancelled.

I booked him a session of underwater treadmill lol. Gotta whip him into shape.

yeah she(well both the dogs) started getting chunky. Since I've basically been out of commission due to the other surgery I hadn't been able to exercise either of the dogs properly(and no one else in my family was willing to and high qulity food + no exercise = packin on the lbs) and then with the move and all the other crap that's been going on I've gotten busy. But she's actually lost a bit of weight considering where she was last year when I couldn't walk her at all...

Since I was officially released back in December(I was bad and started doing stuff I wasn't supposed to before I was released like agility for instance, but that was just foundation stuff so no real preassue there) we've started running again(it's still really hard on my knees though so I'm trying to work up distance) so I'm hoping to gain her waistline back. It's still visible, but not as defined as it used to be. And then once I'm driving we'll hopefully be doing more hikes and trips to the lake so that'll help to.

Since our trial is in like 2 1/2 weeks I've been buckling down and trying to whoop myself into shape and work on getting her butt in shape to
