Kekkei Genkai
Jin'ei (Man's Shadow)

Description
The Jin'ei is separated into four different stages, each with their own additions. In general, the clan's abilities revolve around the use of shadows. The appearance of stages 1 through 4 are above. The appearance of Stage Zero will be linked.

Stage Zero - No Rank
This stage brings nothing but insight. Anyone born with these eyes have the potential to actually obtain the kekkei genkai. A clan member born without these cannot. Additionally, unless another stage is activated, these are the clan member's normal eyes. Also note that the picture is the appearance of the user's iris, not the entire eye.

Stage One - D Rank
The first stage is obtained through a simple procedure. They must brand someone else using the technique Kagemeigara (Shadow Brand). It's advised to pick someone you plan on being around for quite some time. This also means that the clan member must learn the technique first. Once this is done, their eye changes (see above). Whenever this stage is activated, the eye also shows up. When it's deactivated, the eyes go back to Stage Zero.
During this stage, shadow abilities become enabled. Clan techniques up to C in Rank may be learned. Outside of learning techniques, general shadow manipulation is enabled, but compared to further stages, it's not much (see "other information" for more). They can move their own shadow in any way they want, lifting it off the ground and whatnot. It doesn't have much ability though. Striking someone with it would be like a normal punch. Additionally, the shadow can literally break if hit with a strong enough force (once again, see "other information" for more).
Additionally, they are now allowed to literally see shadows through objects and even distinguish overlapping shadows from one another, making hiding from them quite difficult.

Stage Two - C Rank
To obtain this stage, one must build up quite a friendship with someone. This "someone" has to be the same person you branded when obtaining the first stage. This could take anywhere from a few weeks to a few years. When obtained, once again, the eye changes.
Members may learn up to B-Ranked clan techniques now and general shadow manipulation improves once more. Their shadow becomes more solidified and they can make blunt weapons with them (hammers, maces, etc.). These weapons can crush small objects like stones and pieces of wood. They can also start increasing their shadows length and causing it to grow in size.

Stage Three - A Rank
To obtain this stage, the friendship you've built on for so long must be destroyed. If this occurs too close to becoming good friends with them, the stage won't be obtained and you'd have to start with stage two again (you'll still have stage two's abilities...but in order to get this stage, you'd have to reestablish a strong friendship). The eyes change once more.
Clan techniques up to S Rank may be obtained now. They can now make sharp weapons (swords, shuriken, etc.) out of their own shadows and even extend this to other shadows, as long as you or your shadow is touching the shadow of the other object (or a shadow your manipulating is touching, etc). These blades are as sharp as normal weaponry. Additionally, you cannot manipulate someone else's shadow. Your ability to extend your shadow increases, along with general shadow abilities.

Stage Four - S Rank
Obtaining this stage requires you to kill the friend you have branded, although if done before or too close to obtaining the third stage, it cannot be accomplished. Logically, obtaining this is only possible once because you don't know whether or not it works until after you've killed your friend.
All clan techniques may be learned. Weaponry made from shadows far exceed normal weaponry. Blunt weapons can effortlessly crush most objects while bladed weapons can cut through pretty much anything. Shadow abilities increase.

Other Information
(If you need any help with understanding the following, let me know).

Shadow's General Information
As previously stated, a shadow can be lifted off the ground and can take on a physical form. That is how weaponry can be made from the shadow, although since it's possible to literally manipulate the shadow (move it), holding the weapon becomes unnecessary.

Shadow Regeneration
Using shadow techniques do not take up chakra. Instead, they cause the user's shadow to disappear. Once it disappears, it must be regenerated completely before shadow abilities can be used again (although it doesn't have to be completely gone to start regeneration). The regeneration eats at the user's stamina, potentially causing slow movement, immobilization, or even paralysis. The amount of the shadow that disappears is correlated with the loss of stamina. Note, a loss of stamina only occurs during regeneration. Also, it takes a single post of not using shadow techniques to recover twenty percent of your stamina. If in a very shadowy area, this amount recovered doubles.

For the below system...you always round down. If you somehow have 99% of your shadow left, you face the 80% drawback. If it's anything less than 20%, you face nothing.

Unconsciousness: 100% (Lasts for a single post, after consciousness is gained, they obtain 40% of their stamina back)
Immobilization: 80%
Very Slow Movement: 60%
Fatigued: 40%
Slowed Movement: 20%

Chakra & Stamina
Due to shadow techniques not costing any chakra, but instead, costing stamina eventually, it has conformed members of the Kagemusha clan. They have a lot less chakra than most shinobi (perhaps except lower ranks), but they gain a tremendous amount of stamina as a result. Even a genin member of the Kagemusha clan could run for few miles without fatigue or even being out of breath.

Shadow's Stamina Pool
In stage one, a total of 10 jutsu points may be used before your shadow is completely gone.
In stage two, 15 jutsu points.
In stage three, 25.
In stage four, 40.
The use of non-technique shadow abilities takes one point per post for all stages (this is basically everything described in the stages. Stretching your shadow, making weapons, making a fist or small shield, etc.)

Shadow's Range
Each stage also has a different range in which they may extend their shadows.
Stage One: No Range
Stage Two: Five Yards.
Stage Three: Twenty Yards.
Stage Four: Fifty Yards.

Shadow's Endurance
Each stage also provides an indication on how much damage a shadow can take before it breaks (when this happens, the user loses 20% of their shadow).
Stage One: 5 Jutsu Points Worth of Techniques - B+ Techniques break it in one hit.
Stage Two: 7 - A+ break it in one hit.
Stage Three: 9 - S+ break it in one hit,
Stage Four: 11 - SS break it in one hit.

Clan Techniques
Kagemeigara - Shadow Brand - B
Note: This is NOT a clan technique, it's a normal fuuinjutsu, but it's required to obtain the first stage of the kekkei genkai.
The name of this technique may confuse others. The "shadow" portion of the name does not indicate it's a shadow technique. Instead, it relates to the clan's name, instead. The technique is a simple fuuinjutsu.
By making contact with someone's shadow, whether stepping on it or through other means, their shadow gains a constant marking engraved into it. That marking is the kanji for shadow (影). It looks white in appearance, but is fairly small. When you first use this on someone, instead of being white, the kanji literally blends into the person's shadow, disallowing any normal person from seeing it, although clan members can see it as a pulsing image of white light.
Whenever someone is branded by this technique, it allows the user to track the person for up to 500 yards. After that, they lose track of them; however, once that person gets within 100 yards of the user again, the tracking is enabled again and the range is back up to 500.

Clan Background
The clan has had varied leaders throughout its short history, ranging from sadists to monk-like figureheads, but all seemed to die within about a year of leadership. This common occurrence has often branded the leader of the clan as a curse, basically claiming that anyone who becomes the head of the clan will die within a short time.
The clan as a whole has never participated in any kind of battle, but individuals from it have. The clan's setup has differed throughout the years, changing as the head of the clan also changed.

Clan Leaders
Musashi: First leader. Ruled as a pacifist. He disallowed the clan members to participate in any quarrels that was not related to a mission assigned from the kage or lord. This included training. Due to this method, the clan members were never all that strong and most died off on their first few missions.

Heddick: A ruthless figurehead who always opposed Musashi's ideas, but stood idle. That was...until Musashi was killed. After that, Heddick became the clan's head, changing their pacifist ideology into a brutal one. They fought constantly. This, indeed, allowed the clan to flourish in individual strength, but the clan, as a whole, suffered. Clan members often died at the hands of one another. Heddick never died and is supposedly still alive today, but he was impeached, in a way, and disappeared from history.

Munashi: This was Musashi's oldest sister, not too younger than Musashi himself. She took pacifism to another level, disallowing the clan from practicing in any sort of combat, basically outlawing jutsu. Few clan members died through her reign, but she eventually died in a rebellious "civil war." This war was one-sided...Munashi never stood a chance.

Ramion: Ramion was a sadistic b*****d. He brought back combat and jutsu, but only for his own fun. He forced clan members to fight with each other until one died...then would kill the other himself. Naturally, the clan members lowered to a miniscule amount. Under Ramion, the clan was at its worst throughout its entire history. Eventually, Ramion killed himself after taking out his eyes and turning them around, forcing himself to watch his own death.

Xan I: An old man among the clan. The clan was arguably at its best under his leadership. He attempted to balance brutality with pacifism, in a sense. This is where the clan became popularized within Arashigakure, being well known for legendary shinobi. Eventually, illness struck Xan, leading to a slow, painful death.

Xan II: The son of Xan I. He was, in no way, like his father. He was middle-aged and often killed clan members and random people for sacrifices, constantly claiming that its what his father desired. This didn't last long. His reign lasted for a mere two weeks, the shortest in clan history. He was eventually killed and thrown into a lake with weighted materials attached to him, sending him to the bottom of it.

Qutash: The second and last female leader. She was also an old women, much like Xan I. She was wise but often lied to benefit herself. She wasn't particularly mean, just a narcissist of sorts. She was also a thief. In the end, she was impeached, although not outcasted.

Tushaqi: A fairly young man, but very weak. He was idolized by some for his intelligence, but when it came to making decisions, he quickly became nervous and spoke nonsense. Furthermore, in battle, he couldn't even hold his own against a female (who, for the most part, were not allowed to practice combat). Eventually, due to his lack of leadership ability, he was impeached, although since his impeachment, he has improved to be quite capable physically, as a shinobi, but still has issues with being indecisive.

Xan III: The youngest leader. He was more like his grandfather than his father, in terms of ideals, but ultimately, he didn't care. He became leader due to a vote. Just before his time, the clan leaders were known to be cursed due to their quick deaths or impeachments. Even more than the lack of care, he simply feared the seemingly-inevitable fate of the clan leader. He stepped down and ran away from the village, never to be heard from again. He is, however, said to still be alive.

Yuumei (BJW81_RawR): The current leader. He was the first to literally abolish the no-female-combatant rule. In his own respect, outside of the clan, he was known as a fierce warrior on the battlefield. After quite some time, he became Arashikage. At about the same time, he became the head of the Kagemusha Clan. While Yuumei was busy, he often had a fellow clan member speak on behalf of him. So far, it seemed like Yuumei is well liked by most of the clan and even most of the village. Out of all the former leaders, he seemed like the most open-minded and the fairest. Only time will tell if he can live up to the standards set by Xan I.

OtherNotable Clan Members
I'll include everyone's character in this...and possibly make up a few of my own later on.

Note: Feel free to RP as the former village leaders or make your own former village leader (just tell me what to include). I'll also likely include little bios about everyone that joins the clan, regardless of whether they're a leader or not.
I am also looking for a Co-Clan Leader, of sorts. They'll basically be the figurehead of the clan, but will still take orders from my character. They'll essentially deliver my word. ^_^
