That job definitely could have gone better. Shun had his suspicions on why it went wrong and he was going to have to make sure Titus got what was coming to him at some point. It was just another thing on the list of crap he had to deal with from the guy.
In any case, he was finally back on campus after being out for the entire day. He was sore and tired and he needed to check on his arm. After sitting on the train for awhile, he found his body to be more stiff than when he was running around. A few of those hits he had taken were pretty hard.
Carefully, he pulled himself up the stairs before walking towards his room with a limp in his stride. There, he unlocked his door and pushed his way in, hoping that Mitsu hadn't tried to contact him at all that day.

And just on the other side of the door Shun would find the largest saddest pair of eyes staring up at him upon first entry. Yes, yes she had tried to contact him. That look was evident enough.
It was possible her eyes had started to tear but that sad expression soon gave way to worry when she took in the sight of him. Worn and tired from the day's events, Shun looked pretty roughed up. The faintest smell of blood was in the air, his jacket looked like it had taken some damage, and by the sound of his foot steps that had been coming down the hall his leg was worse now despite the progress he had made after their trip.
"W...what happened?" Mitsu moved closer though her own movements were still sluggish. She had finally recouped from the blood loss but the wound in her side was still healing and tender. Carefully she came up beside Shun to help support his weight despite the discomfort it caused to do so.

Shun was actually kind of surprised to see Mitsu there in his room, staring at him like that. Freezing for the moment, he took note of how sad and worried she seemed to be. So much for his hope that things had gone unnoticed. Furrowing his brow for the moment, he didn't answer right away as she made her way to try and support his weight. There was no hiding the fact that he was battered now.
"I got into a fight with some miscreants," he said quietly. It was the truth. It should have gone without a hitch but he ended up walking into a fight more or less. And it took its toll on his body.
Even so, he tried not to lean too much on Mitsu. She was probably still sore from their adventure earlier that week.

"A fight?" Mitsu frowned deeply. Shun wasn't really the type to look for a fight though she knew he probably wouldn't back down from one. "A fight over what?"
She moved with him gently trying to pull him into the room so that she could close the door after him. After that she headed toward the bed so he could have a seat. Her side was tender and complained with even the smallest weight he placed on her but she ignored it to the best of her abilities. How long had it been since she had a lingering wound? Not since the field trip she supposed.
"This...is the second time...." She said softly though Shun would no doubt understand what she meant. This was the second time she had found him this way. The second time she had tried to contact him through the day and had gotten nothing to only find him gone and then when he showed back up he was beaten and battered.

"Not much. I mostly just ran into the wrong crowd who was itching for a fight," he mumbled. Shun might have backed down earlier to prevent things from blowing up but seeing how they pursued him halfway through the town, they were really looking to do a beat down. He really hadn't said much before they decided to attack anyway.
Sitting onto the bed a little heavily, he let out a breath, then fell silent as Mitsu spoke again. His head lowered and his gaze shifted towards the ground. No doubt she was worried.
But he didn't know what to say to her.

Normally Mitsu would have hurried off to the bathroom to grab the first aid kit but this time she didn't. Instead she knelt down in front of Shun, her hands resting gently on his knees. His head had lowered and this was the easiest way to be in his line of sight as she tilted her head up to look at him.
"Shun...." Mitsu struggled with what she wanted to say. She didn't want to question him to no end but she wanted to know what was going on. It was more than just running into the wrong crowd, he was hiding something from her.
"There's something...more you're not telling me."

Staring down at Mitsu, Shun was quiet for a little bit. She had picked up that he was holding out on something. Again there was that conflicting feeling on how much he should tell her.
"I had to tail someone... and she figured it out and decided to send her buddies at me," he sighed before running his hand through his head.

"You were tailing someone?" Worry and concern seemed to intermingle. Mitsu was doing her best to piece things together but maybe it was denial keeping her from seeing the entire picture. "Why would....I don't understand."
She closed her eyes for a moment trying to think. Trying to come up with some sort of conclusion. "Is there someone making you do this?" Even as she said that her mind was coming up with the answer. He had told her to search the name of his father and she had. There was a long stream of criminal activity linked with the man. It was hard to overlook this bit of information as well as the relationship Shun said he had with his dad.

Shifting a bit, Shun wondered if that had been too much. Grimacing, he took a little while to say anything else.
"Yes," he finally said after the period of silence. He didn't elaborate any further on that. First, he wanted to see how she would react or what she would say about this. The Reaper was still a little leery of how much he should say on the whole matter. A part of him still felt that the less she knew the better. At the same time, he didn't like keeping things from Mitsu.

His answers were so short with no real information. What was she supposed to get out of a simple yes? Perhaps it was her fault for asking a yes or no question in the first place but it was clear she was concerned, even clearer she was seeking answers.
"You....don't trust me..." It wasn't a question but a soft spoken and simple statement. The realization of it had her pulling back slowly, her eyes glancing to the floor. Maybe she should just leave it at that.
Slowly Mitsu stood to her feet, a million questions still buzzing around in her head but none of them were going to be answered. At least not this way. "I'll go get the first aid kit." Her feet slowly turned in the direction of the bathroom before carrying her in that direction wondering if Shun was only going to confirm her fear that he didn't trust her.

Shun froze at those words, feeling a sharp sting with them. It was always strange how words could have such a strong impact. They could be just as sharp as any blade really. Stunned for the moment, he stared at her as she started to get to her feet.
"Wait.. no... That's not true," he started, feeling a little lost for words.
What was he to say now? Did she really think that he didn't trust her? But.. that wasn't the case here.

A pang of hope hit her as Shun spoke up and instantly she stopped mid-step turning just slightly to look at him. When silence only followed she felt that cold feeling creep over her again. He still didn't want to tell her. That much she could see.
Taking a deep breath Mitsu sighed and did her best to give a reassuring smile. "It's...okay. You don't have to tell me. It's not my business." Though as she said that she looked away knowing her face would only look sad and upset about it.
Continuing her way to the bathroom Mitsu disappeared through the door. The first aid kit was in a well known location though she noted how light it felt when she picked it up. No doubt with all the attention it was getting the stock of first aid supplies was dwindling....she would have to restock.
Holding the small box close Mitsu took a moment to collect herself not wanting to appear too upset over being kept in the dark. There was no doubt a reason she just didn't understand it. Was she too weak? Maybe he couldn't tell her? Perhaps it would get him in trouble? Whatever the reason Mitsu was determined to keep tabs on the reaper if possible. Despite what he was doing she wanted to make sure he was safe. It was possibly a little short sighted of her, not entirely with her morals....but she didn't care what he was doing as long as he didn't come back beaten and bruised.
That thought seemed worse after she gave it some time to sink in but it didn't change how she felt. With another sigh Mitsu made her way back out the door and toward the reaper with the first aid kit in hand.

Lowering his head, Shun closed his eyes and ran his hand through his hair, trying to think. This was actually hurting, and he couldn't really explain why. It was enough that his bodily injuries were not so much of a concern for him right now. He felt them still, but they had taken the backseat or so to speak.
"Did.. you ever look up my father?" he asked quietly, not looking up from the floor just yet.
First and foremost, he wanted to see what she already knew. Then, he would work from there.

Mitsu knelt beside the bed again, her movements slowed because of her injury. Setting the first aid kit down she opened it and began to sort through what Shun still had so she knew what she had to work with. "Let me see where you are hurt."
She was a little caught off guard when Shun began to speak of his father, silence over taking her for a moment before she nodded. "I did..." She said softly though she wasn't sure what else to say. Surely Shun knew of the things that were on the interwebs, why else had he told her to look...but how much of it was true? Was this also confirming her earlier suspicion that his father was behind his current activities?

Gingerly, Shun removed his jacket and set it aside before rolling up his sleeve to show where the claws had dug into his arm. His movements were slow, as he was thinking and sore all at the same time here.
"So then you've read about a few of the things he had been tied into in the past," he said before pausing, "Some things don't change. These things.. aren't exactly within the bounds of law. These people aren't really all that nice either. Then again, nor am I."
He was still being rather cryptic about everything.
