Freaking snow, they were practically buried in it. Azzo sighed as he collapsed in a chair turning on the weather to see what the forecast was going to hold. Merlin was stuck inside with them whining. "It's snowing Merlin..."
Of course that wasn't going to matter. Azzo had been digging out some of the yard anyways only as Niflhel because he wasn't about to try to dig it out as a civilian if there was no reason to.
"Aurora, don't ever get a dog." He called from the living room getting up and walking to the back door to let the dog out. Only to watch him run right back to the door after a few minutes the dog was whining to be let in. "At this point I think cats are smarter." He added as Merlin shook the snow from his coat and sat down looking like he'd been kicked. "I told you it was snowing."

It had been a risk to come over with the snow falling so hard. Though.. Aurora hadn't expected this particular problem to come up. She'd been worried about weather exposure, about slipping and falling. But throughout the day the snow storm had only seemed to intensify to the point where it seemed like it would never end. Glancing out the window she wondered for a moment if it was even possible for snow to get high enough to cover the windows or doors and bury them alive. Maybe not.. but the slow creep upward of the cold white crystals almost made it seem like they might.
Hearing Azzo's call, she made her way to the living room, looking at the weather forecast before looking down to the poor dog. She actually kind of agreed a little.. not that Merlin was a bad dog or that she disliked him! But cats were so much more self sufficent, you had to worry much less about them. Nonetheless she couldn't help but tease as she offered a mug of hot chocolate towards her boyfriend. "You're a big bully Azzo. He just wants to romp around and play."

Azzo's brow listed as she called him a bully. "But you just saw him come back in after being out there... what five, six minutes?"
He leaned on the wall shaking his head as Merlin was looking between the two of them. "It's not like I have stuff to outfit him for the snow. Like those huskies have those bootie things. He'd probably rip them off."
He took the offered hot chocolate and sipped on it, he wasn't really going to touch on if he as a bully or not. He shrugged softly, "Anyways since we're probably suck here, what do you want to do?"
He wasn't really worried about being buried in the snow. He was probably more worried about food if anything. "Hm... do we have enough food or should I power up and make a quick trip to stock up?"

"He's still just a baby isn't he?" He was awfully big to be calling a baby, but when Aurora thought back on it.. Azzo really hadn't had him for that long had he? A year or two maybe? "Children don't ever seem to know what's good for them or what they want. You've just got to tell them."
Half leaning, half sitting against the arm of the chair he was in, her eyes watched the television mildly as he spoke. Stuck here for the night? That in an of itself wouldn't be so bad if it happened.. A night for just the two of them to hang out. No negaverse to distract them. Just the two.. well three of them?
As her mind drifted to images of a warm and crackling fireplace and two bodies snuggled beneath blankets on the couch, she tried to brush it away, thinking more practically and less romantically.
"We could always play a board game. I don't think I've done that in ages. And it's more fun then say.. cleaning the house."
When the oh so 'familiar' word food came up, she couldn't help but smile in amusement. She should have known. "Or I suppose we could we can go on a grand baking and cooking journey and make more food then we'd ever be able to eat in a day. The oven on will help keep the house warm too."
She'd have to check, but she imagined that he'd have plenty of food stocked up. Now that it was just him in the house, food supplies didn't dwindle very quickly, and with Aurora constantly bringing things over like a dutiful girlfriend she couldn't imagine he'd raided it all yet.

"Pretty much, I think; he's just a year old or so." He said with a small shrug as he watched the weatherman speaking about the amounts of snow they were going to have. He chuckled, "I try to tell him, he doesn't listen."
Azzo gave a small roll of his shoulders again, "It's not quite like a certain talking cat we know. Merlin's smart but he doesn't have common sense and doesn't really learn either."
He placed the mug on the side table that was opposite of Aurora. He pondered, "Board games hm.... I think there maybe some in the attic. I haven't play any of those in ages. Grams normally went out to play bingo." He considered this option, "There maybe life and monopoly. Probably some other really old games up there. I wouldn't be surprised if we had Chinese checkers or something too."
He wasn't sure what she liked to play but there were probably enough games up there with the few that he knew of they could find something at least worthy of their time. "And it would be much better than cleaning the house."
He paused when she mentioned grand baking and cooking journey. That also caught his attention, "Well if we do that you might just have to stay and help me eat it all." He gave a chuckle, there should've been enough stuff in the pantries that he didn't have to go out while it was snowing.
"Good thing we have a freezer." He added, if they cooked more than they could eat it could always be stored for quick meals later. "Since you know, I'm rather incapable of cooking anything decent."
There was a smile, he could probably learn but then Aurora would probably want to know why he wanted her to come over and cook for him, when he could do it himself.
