It was yet another peaceful night in this city, somewhere along the East Coast of the United States. The people who were asleep by 9pm were safe for the time being, but for the others that weren't dreaming just yet, they were pulled out of their beds or off the streets and headed towards the outskirts of town to a place we all know and love: The Circus Diabolique. This was the first night visiting the town, and it would be known to the others in the city soon enough, but the first night was always the most special.
Usually the first night consisted of adults and teenagers. After all, they're the only ones awake at like 11pm. They roamed the circus grounds outside of the city, the area lit up so the humans could see where they were going, but it wasn't too bright that it bothered those of the Circus who thrive in the dark.
Since it was only eleven, the main performance still had an hour before they were on. The main performance was always in the main tent with the Star Performers. Until then, the Stars were allowed to do as they pleased as long as they were ready when it was their time to shine. So while the Stars waited, in other tents there would be Basic Performers and Freaks showing off, sometimes Super Freaks too but they're usually in with the Star Performers.

So, while the Stars have yet to go on, one of them was in the special tents set off to the side for the staff and such only. This was Misu Tachibana, and like usual, she was reading a book. Preferring to be in her natural form, she still looked human except for the wings on her back. One was pure white made of soft feathers, but the other was a black feathery wing stained with blood and some of the feathers were gone to reveal bones.
The Ringmaster himself, Shinku Daikirai, was busy looking through some things in his private tent. No one EVER went into the Ringmaster's tent and came back out alive. Most of them just never seem to come out...
With the Ringmaster busy, the Head Trainers were left in charge to keep the circus running smoothly. One of them was actually two people: Tsuin. She was currently known as Hinote though, dressed in a purple outfit with red and gold gloves and boots. What looked like flame accessories in her long lavender hair was actually real flames, just they didn't burn her. In any case, Hinote was guiding some of the Basic Performers through their routines in front of the audience, using her Flame Whip perfectly. She too could have been a performer, but being Head Trainer is much more rewarding, especially when you can boss others around.

Akuma and Kago sat in the shade of one of the tents. "Akuma have you mastered that last shadow trick?" Kago asked curious if she was working on it like he told her to. Akuma stood up and nodded "Yah watch," she smiled then her body turned black then vanished she reappeared a few yards away. "Good if you continue to work on that you'll get faster and go father distances no matter where the Star performers are," Kago smiled. Akuma nodded then walked back over and sat down. Ryu flew over and landed next to Akuma.
Jinji walked through the streets of the city quietly in thought

"The itsy bitsy spider crawled up the water spout. Down came the rain and washed the spider out." Hisa sung. Her voice cold but very attractive. As she sung she twirled around her audience before going back in front of them. "Now now. Who wants to be my toy for the next act?" As many hands rose, a smirk crawled across her face and her tail lashed side to side.

Walking down the street to her apartment complex, Christina quickly stuffed a chunk of ice cream in her mouth. "Mm. This is delicious." She said putting the ice cream in her free hand and digging around her pocket for her keys. Finally reaching her home, she walked in and headed to her apartment. Unlocking the door she walked in and tossed her keys on the end table. Walking to the living room, she plopped down on the couch and turned on the t.v.

Sho sat quietly in one of the tents,his ears moving and twitching to random sounds as he waited for the main performance to start.Sho has always sort of been the silent type so he usually just keep to himself most of the time.

"You should go check on the Stars.I've got some other stuff I want to check on I'll meet up with you later," Kago smiled and rubbed Akuma's head before standing up and walking off. Akuma nodded then vanished in a puff of black smoke reappearing in front of Sho and she bowed politely "Is everything ok? Do you need me for anything?" she asked.

Sho's ears perked up quickly and he looked up at Akuma. "No." he replied then went back to listening to the sounds around him.

Akuma nodded her head "Ok if you need anything feel free to let me know," she said then vanished reappearinf a few yards away from the special tents. Akuma walked in and bowed politely to Misu "Is everything ok?" she asked kindly.
Kago walked around the Circus making sure things were in order.

Misu looked up from her book and shook her head at Akuma, a soft smile on her lips. "I'm fine, but thank you," she replied politely. She then closed her book and put it away, getting to her feet. Her wings stretched a bit before relaxing. "There's still some time before my performance, so I'm going to check out how the others are doing." By others, she means the rest of the Circus, including the Basic Performers and the Freaks. Besides, she was pretty good friends with most of the Circus by now, and thus she headed off to find Hisa.

Hinote smirked as she commanded a group of the other Basic Performers in one of the tents (not counting Hisa). They were a group of low-class demons, all bending to her will and the crack of her whip. "Come on now! Let's see what you can do! Formation, please!" They made pyramids, used abilities for flying and doing tricks, etc., and her audience was rather amazed. To Hinote, this was nothing, since she knew what the Stars could do.

The Ringmaster sighed in his own private tent, crossing his arms as he looked over a list of all the staff in the Circus: Basic and Star Performers, Basic and Super Freaks, Warriors and Elites, Sub-Trainers and Head Trainers and all. Then he picked up a different item: a sort of crystal ball that fortune-tellers used. Once it was in his hand and he was staring deeply into the artifact, the contents within the crystal ball shifted. It grew cloudy, dark, then started showing others around town that could possibly join his Circus. Actually, he had already talked to two of them: Hina and Tsuki. He told them to start luring either normal humans or even Police Officers to the Circus... "They seem to be doing well so far..." Shin whispered to himself.

((heh. I just thought of something to get Christina and Jinji to check out the circus. just watch. Fyi, yes, I did make two more characters xp ))
A young girl, approximately 13 years old, ran down the streets in such a hurry. "Hina! Dolly! Mother! Where are you?" she cried, tears running down her face as she called out for her lost companion, Hina. The terms Dolly and Mother were just nicknames for Hina as well. Blinded by the tears, the girl (Tsuki) turned around a corner and ran straight into Jinji, falling backwards due to the impact. Tsuki didn't bother getting up just yet, rubbing her eyes and sniffling.
Hina, however, was calmly walking from door to door in hopes that someone had seen her lost child. Technically, Tsuki wasn't her child and Hina wasn't her mother, but they thought of each other that way. Hina came to an apartment complex and checked each apartment before coming to Christina's and knocking on the door. "Hello? Is anyone there? Please, I just need to know if someone has seen my sister..." Even though Tsuki would call Hina Mother and Hina usually called Tsuki Daughter, when they were looking for one another, Hina usually said Sister instead because they were somewhat close in age.

ATTENTION EVERYONE! I HAS A CHALLENGE FOR YOU!
Now, I'm this is just a silly little guessing game, but I want to see if anyone can figure it out. AKA - there's no reward, but since we all love each other in this guild, this is just for fun. wink
Anyways, the challenge is that I want to see if anyone can guess where I came up with this idea for this Roleplay. I maybe be a bit of a cheater or something because if anyone remembers the little speech that the Ringmaster said in the storyline for this RP (look below to reread it), I actually stole that from something else.
“Ladies and Gentlemen! Allow me to direct your attention to the center stage, where you will bear witness to terrifying sites that will haunt you until the day you die. Behold! The Circus Diabolique! And let the nightmare begin!”
The other hints are key words I used in the storyline: "Hall of Mirrors", "Soul Stealer", "Living Dolls", "Haunted Carousel", "Freaks", and even "Circus Diabolique".
So... can anyone guess how all of these clues are connected? Just post it in OOC here in the roleplay if you want to guess. Also, I'm not giving any other clues, and if I find out that The Lions Heart told anyone the answer (cuz he knows it too), then you are disqualified.

Matthew was sitting quietly In his tent, trancing the tattooed marked on his four tails and the rings around them. He had control over fire and was practicing some moves for the show, he smiled softly to himself and sighed a bit.

"Is something wrong, Matthew?" Misu asked out of the blue. She walked out from her own tent, and since all the Star Performers had their tents set up near one another's, he was the first person she saw as she left her tent. Her wings were out rather than remaining as tattoos on her back for the current moment. She was normally in this form ever since she joined The Circus Diabolique, a place where she could feel wanted or at least rather normal.

Matthew looked at Misu and smiled a bit "Nothing's wrong, I'm just waiting" He replied as he continued to play with the fire ball he had, he threw It up and watched It roll down his arm, across his shoulders and down his other arm and threw It again. He used one of his tails to catch It and held It.

Misu couldn't help a soft smile, watching Matthew play with the fireball. "It looks fun. Too bad I can't control fire. I can really only fly, use Medical, and do this..." She trailed off and held out a hand. Her fingernails changed to black, her eyes to red, and her hair to white. Then she giggled. "Now I kinda look like a vampire. Fear me," she laughed, pretending to flash fangs that she didn't have. Clearly this was her usual playful self, rather than her Angel-shy self or Dark Angel-cold hearted self.

Matthew chuckled a bit and stood up as his other tails curled around the fire ball and put It out. "You look nice that way" He said with a smile. His tails twitched a bit and wrapped around his waste, looking like a slash now.
