The Beginning of a Long History

Vespera: *Flops down, watching Aps quietly, tail flicking around her legs.*

Obsidian: -Huffs slightly and glances toward the female.- Tired of everyone trying to decide my fate for me... Shouldn't we have the choice?

Vespera: *Head turns slowly, covered eyes still able to see through the bangs. Briefly, she shifts so she is laying down, head cocking to the side.* Is someone trying to control you? *Shuffles her wings closer to her body.* I think everyone has a choice. You have the choice to listen or not, why not rebel against whomever is trying to control you, little one?

Obsidian: -Sighs and shakes his head slightly.- Its just... my parents... My dad is way over protective. He wants to keep me hidden cause he thinks someone is after us. -Frowns and kicks a pebble.-

Vespera: *Chuckles softly* He just loves you, and it's one of the way he shows it. You're lucky, as a kit I used to complain about not having someone to protect me like your father does.

Obsidian: Yeah... I guess so. Its just.. lonely sometimes. -Glances up at her.- He'd probably kill me if he knew I was talking to you...

Vespera: Lonely? Are you not allowed to play outside? Don't you have siblings, little one? *Concern touches her voice lightly, flicking her head just for a second, bangs just flipping right back in her eyes.*

Obsidian: Well, yeah.. but one of my brother's is already really into a girl... And my other brother is off by himself a lot. I'm only allowed to play if I stay close to home and don't venture too far out. He's always afraid someone will see us. -Tilts his head at her.- You have really pretty hair.

Vespera: *Frowns quietly, considering on how to respond. Resting her head on her paws, avoiding her accessories a little, she flicks her tail around her other side, smiling now.* Thank you, you're the first to compliment it. I like yours too. If you'd like, I could take you for a flight? I doubt you can fly yet, and it'd be good to see the sky before you try and venture by yourself in it. I can assure you that you'd be safe.

Obsidian: -Glances over her, staring at her pretty jewelry for a moment.- Really? You'd teach me how to fly? -His eyes light up in excitement.- I'd love to! -Rises to his claws, his wings fluttering.-

Vespera: *Smiles now, at least he's happier.* I could give you lessons, yes. I'd start with having you on my back, showing you what being in the sky is like. I can teach you how to fly by nudging you off low rocks until you can glide a bit, I think it'll be easier to teach you how to fly in the sky when you're an adult. Though gliding and hovering should be possible. What is your name, little one?

Obsidian: It could be fun! I want to be a great dragon! Problem is... I don't know much about being a dragon... Do you think you could teach me some about that too? -Looks up at her with inquiring eyes. He flutters his wings again, trying to get up off the ground. He only moves about an inch before dropping back down.-

Vespera: *Hm? Teach him how to be a dragon? She giggled once, shaking her head.* I'm not the best at being a dragon, I suppose. I cannot breathe fire as the stories go, and I wasn't raised by other dragons. Does this disappoint you? Also, you've forgotten your name.

Obsidian: Oh. So you're in the same boat as my family then. -Ears go down slightly, being a little saddened by this. Perhaps he'd meet another dragon who could teach him?- I'm sorry! My name is Obsidian. What's yours?

Vespera: *Sees his ears flip down, sighing gently* I can perform a little magic, if you'd like me to show you later. I know tales of dragons, as well, that I can teach you, and I possess the ability to calm lizards and snakes, though that is the extent of my abilities as a dragon. *Flipping her hair, again, only to fail, she offers a smile.* I'm Vespera.

Obsidian: -Curious.- Can all dragons do magic? As far as I know I don't have magic. But maybe we just don't know it! -Wonders what kind of magic he could do if he could do it.- Tales are good too! It'll at least teach me something. My dad was kidnapped when he was a dragonling and my mom wasn't too close to her family, she's also only half dragon. So we don't know too much. It'd be awesome if I could bring back some tales to my parents!

Vespera: *Nods, resting her head back on her paws.* Alright. And I do not know. Perhaps, though I doubt all dragons can perform magic. *Wiggles just a tad closer, lowering one wing* Would you like to try that flight, now?

Obsidian: I would love to see your magic though, when you want to show me. -Eyes twinkle slightly.- Oh! Yeah! -Flutters his wings again.- How do we begin?
Vespera: Climb onto my back. I'll show you what it is like to be in the air, first. *Lowers her side so he can climb on, smiling.*

Obsidian: Okay! -Climbs up her tail and wiggles onto her back, trying to make sure not to harm her with his claws.- I'm on! -Glances around, never having been up that high before.-

Vespera: *Hums quietly, nodding.* If you must, you can grip onto me. *Spreads her wings, climbing over to a boulder, hopping on, and leaping off, flapping her wings a few times, hard enough to go sailing into the air.* Hold on tight~

Obsidian: Okay.. -Blinks slightly and clutches onto her clothing. As she leaps off he squeals and holds on tighter, his claws slightly pressing into her back. The world around him suddenly went flying by in a blur. Obsidian's eyes were wide as the wind shuffled his hair in a tangled mess behind him.- This is great! -Yells out into the sky.-

Vespera: *Grins ear to ear at the kits reaction, glad he's reacting well to it.* When you are grown, imagine doing this yourself.

Obsidian: It'll be great! I can see why you love it! Maybe I'll race around and become the best! -Wide smile on his face as he looks around at the world below him.- And then... then... I can fly around with you!

Vespera: *Goes silent for a bit, flapping her wings so she can rise higher into the sky.* Fly with me? Why would you... do that?

Obsidian: Cause.. you're nice! And it'd be fun. Wouldn't you want to fly with me instead of having me on your back? -His face slightly over her shoulder, saying this into her ear.-

Vespera: It would be nice to have a partner in the skies, yes. However, I tend to not stay in one spot, little Obsi. I may lead you from your family, wouldn't that be heart wrenching?

Obsidian: We don't stay in one spot either. -Wrinkles his nose while thinking.- What did my dad call it? ...No...No... Nomad, I think? Yeah, we're nomads! Maybe you could travel with us? -Getting a little cold from the rushing wind, he buried his face against her back to get a little warmth back in it.- Either way.. when I'm older I want to travel everywhere! So I won't constantly be with my family anyway.

Vespera: *Travel with them? ... She didn't really enjoy the idea of that, mostly because she doubted she would be of any other use other than to drain their supplies. Though, perhaps socializing was better than her current life-style. When Obsidian nuzzled into her she dropped them lower.* Perhaps, on one of your travels by yourself I could... *Accompany him? Hrm. Once again, could she be userful?* You should tell me about your travels.

Obsidian: Would you? I think it'd be fun! -Wiggles excitedly but starts to wobble.- Ooof! -Tries to scramble back to a more stable position on her back.- Oh umm... mostly just moving from place to place so that we aren't seen. We don't do a lot of sight seeing. My parents just want to make sure we aren't found out. I've seen some really cool looking trees and mountains though!

Vespera: Should we go down now? I don't want you to fall. Unless you wish to see what free falling is like? I can catch you. -His life of hiding sounds rather familiar to her own, humming softly in her throat.-

Obsidian: -Nervously looks down at the ground and then to the back of her head.- Is it fun? You will catch me, right?

Vespera: I won't let anything hurt you, I promise. I'll catch you, just call for me when you want me to.

Obsidian: Okay. -Looks over to the ground again and slowly wobbles toward a standing position.- Here goes! -Pushes himself off into the air. Suddenly he felt the wind rushing past him, the ground coming closer and closer.- Hell yeah! -He was nearing closer and closer.- Bet you can't catch me! -Hoped she would get the message.-

Vespera: -Smiles as the kit flops off her, casually flying a few distances behind him. Ear twitching when he yelled his taunt, she folded her wings close to her side, diving quickly down until she was under the kit, violently extending her wings as her paws wrapped around his torso, flapping them swiftly until they gently touch the ground, setting him down gently.-

Obsidian: -When she catches him he feels the air being pushed from his lungs. Letting out a groan, he lost his balance somewhat once he reached the ground, toppling over.- That was awesome! Is that what its like to fly? -Wiggles his wings.- I can't wait!

Vespera: I'll be pleased when you grow, I can teach you aerial tricks if you'd like. -Watches him topple over, nudging him softly before flopping down on her stomach-

Obsidian: That'd be cool! -Paws at her nose before pushing himself upright. He moves closer and cuddles into her fur.- So.. do you have a family?

Vespera: -Flips her tail around him, sighing gently.- I did. Though... drama came up over my heritage and my role in this "family" and I was taken away. It's a.... long story.

Obsidian: -Frowns as he looks at her.- I... I'm sorry... No one should ever do that to their family... -Curls his tail around himself.- I think... One day... I want to create a big family. All kinds of others who may not even be related, all together.. all family. No one will be alone.
Vespera: -Twitches once more- That was what my family was, in a way. Sometimes.... things go awry. I hope you can maintain this family better.

Obsidian: I.. -Ears go down somewhat.- You don't think its a good idea then?

Vespera: It just... worries me. I just... -goes silent- I believe you can, if you keep a selfless heart.

Obsidian: You could... You could help me? Make sure nothing goes wrong... -Looks up at her with kit eyes.-

Vespera: -Looks at him, eyes blinking. For a second she looks about to protest, though stops. This was different than what she was born for, she was only helping. Nodding gently, the female laughed gently.- Of course.

Obsidian: -Smiles and closes his eyes as he yawns.- Cool! I'll hold you to that...

Vespera: -watching the little kit yawn, she sighed softly.- You can sleep. -Licking the kits forehead, she absently wondered if, after today, she'd really ever see him again.-

Obsidian: -Snuggles closer and continues to yawn.- But... I... don't want.. to sleep...

Vespera: It'll be alright, just a little nap?

Obsidian: -Rubs his eyes.- Alright... Thank you for today... -Closes them and starts to dream.-

Playtime~

Obsidian: Vespera!! -Runs over to her- You look so pretty!

Vespera: -Blinks when the kit runs over, tail flicking idly.- Eh? -Looks at herself, blushing just a bit, she never really thought of herself as pretty- Thank you. -Licks his cheek- How have you been, Obsi the Great? -smirks at his new nickname, tail wagging-

Obsidian: -Gives a low rumbling purr and nuzzles against her cheek when she licks him.- I'm okay. Been trying to fly. Look! -Flaps his wings rather hard until he lifts off the ground a couple feet for about ten seconds.-

Vespera: -Smiles happily, tail flicking side to side- Good! By the time you're an adult I expect to see you flying when I visit you~ -Adds a playful smile to her words, content and pleased with the kit's progress.-

Obsidian: I will! I'll be the best flyer ever! I promise! -Hops over to her and smiles brightly, wanting desperately to make her proud of him.-

Vespera: -Smiles, chuckling softly as she spreads her wings- The best? I suppose I can settle with being the second best, then~

Obsidian: Oh, I'm not sure I'll ever be better than you. You're the best! -Gives a playful kit-like grin.-

Vespera: -Smiles fondly, shaking her head- Maybe, though a teacher is always flattered when their student is better than even them~

Obsidian: -Tilts his head to the side.- You.. You want me to be better than you? -A little confused.-

Vespera: Perhaps. -Goes quiet a bit, hums softly.- I would be happy if you were, at least one thing I did then would change someones life for the better.

Obsidian: What do you mean Vespera? -Looks at her with big eyes, a slight frown upon his face.- You've always been really kind to me...

Vespera: -Tail twitching, she shook her head, hair almost flicking from her eyes long enough to be seen- I'll explain when you're older, Obsidian. -Suddenly rolls him over, tail moving to tickle his stomach- You are far to serious for a kit, Obsi the Great.

Obsidian: -Frowns and wants to ask her further, but instead hunches his back slightly, knowing that adults never told kits anything.- Oof. -Falls onto his back and starts laughing, trying to paw at her.- Nooo... -States through fits of giggles.-

Vespera: -Snorts, highly amused by his weak protests- Noo? It seems like you like it since you're not fighting back much.

Obsidian: Its not fair! You're so much bigger! -Wiggles around trying to get free.-

Vespera: -Pouts, playfully removing her paw to touch her mouth- B-Bigger? Am I... fat? -Gasps in playful hurt.-

Obsidian: Huh? I didn't say that! -Pounces on her.-

We're Both Too Stubborn

Vespera: -With a sigh of both agitation and confusion, Vespera collected what seemed like the 100th gift, setting it to the side of her little cave dwelling. She should invest in a house someday, but the idea of a permanent dwelling bothered her. Mostly, she couldn't imagine of home to call her own, not now or ever.- Seriously, these gifts need to stop. How am I supposed to carry them to my next location?

Obsidian: -He drew in a deep breath that had been locked in his lungs for the better part of his flight. Today was the day. He had finally become a man and he had promised Vespera he would stay her friend even after that. However, there was a small part of his brain that kept nagging at him with that thought. He wasn't sure why, all he knew was that the thought bothered him. It wasn't that he didn't want to be friends with her, he loved spending time with her and he had missed her. But there was... something... something else. Musing, he could see the cave where she was staying coming into view. Letting his wings hang wide, he slowly anchored himself toward the ground until his claws landed.-

Vespera: -Sounds. The well trained vixen crouched against the walls, her ears raised to ear the noises, tail lashing violently. As she inhaled she could have sworn it smelt familiar, and yet the noise was far to loud to be that tiny little kit... Gradually, she managed to slide her body into the darker parts of the cave, awaiting the newcomer to either speak or enter the cave where they would be horridly surprised.-

Obsidian: -He carefully slicked back portions of his hair that had been ruffled in the wind while he was flying. After making sure that his hair and fur was in place, he turned toward the cave.- Vespera? Vespera.. If you're around... Its Obsidian.. -His voice was somewhat unsure though he tried to make it sound confident.-

Vespera: -Obsidian? But this voice was deeper.... well, of course it was. Was she some idiot? If his voice stayed like that.... wait. Of course? It would only grow deep if he had grown, and last time....- Obsi? -The nickname now sounded foreign to her as she creeped from her cave, still tense and prepared to attack, until she spotted the male by the cave entrance, ears flipping back in alarm, the eyes hidden behind her bangs widening- Oh. So, that's where you went. You grew.

Obsidian: Umm.. yeah... I did. -Nods a bit though it was obvious he was nervous. Peering at her, he gave a brief smile.- You haven't seemed to change at all. Still beautiful.

Vespera: Beautiful? -Didn't he call her pretty as a kit? With a slight blush the vixen's ear twitched as his tone, head curiously, eyes hidden behind her long bangs. Now that he was an adult those innocent little words he used to say as a kit could be mistaken. She wondered absently if he had already learned when to say certain compliments. Then again, he called her beautiful, so he must now have.- I wouldn't call myself beautiful. -She mused, tail flicking around her back leg- You save such compliments for the woman, or man, of your choosing. Though, thank you. -Perhaps she was being to.... formal? To.... She wasn't sure. As a kit he was easier to speak to, Vespera hid from others and therefor never had anyone to even really talk to. Except Aadin, but he had vanished awhile ago.- Oh! Would you like to come inside the cave?

Obsidian: You don't think you are? -He mused, his brow wrinkling at her. Frowning a bit, he realized to a degree that perhaps she wouldn't accept him.- And who said I didn't? -He nodded an agreement to wanting to come inside, walking passed her. Turning, he gazed at her through uncertain eyes.- You don't have to pretend with me... we are friends, aren't we? -But the truth was, he was pretending himself, wasn't he?-

Vespera: -Her eyes widened briefly, tail flicking to hug her legs- What? -What kind of question was that? It still took her a second or two to respond, flopping on her stomach- Pretend? I'm not one to do that, li- -She stopped. Little was /not/ the word to use, because right now he was taller and bigger than her.- Of course we're friends. -She flicked hair from her eyes briefly before they once more covered her eyes- Why would I pretend to be your friend? That's horrid.

Obsidian: -He smirked just a little as he gazed toward her. And for a moment he thought he might have seen something, something that told him that she had given up. On what he wasn't entirely sure, but she looked defeated somehow. Musing, he stepped toward her and nuzzled her just gently under her chin.- That's not what I meant. It just seems... It seems like there is something else on your mind, it seems like you don't really want to be here.

Vespera: -At his nuzzle she blinked, unused to such affection from an adult. Aadin certainly wasn't the affectionate type, and she barely remember her mother enough. However, she didn't mind, awkwardly returning the nuzzle briefly.- It's not that, Obsidian, I assure you. -Pauses for a second to mule over how she wants to word things- You're an adult, it's simply strange now for me. I'm used to spoiling you as a child and watching you tumble around clumsily. I almost feel a little sad. You'll be exploring now and living your own life, it was nice to have a friend visit me periodically.

Obsidian: -Huffs softly.- I'm sorry I grew. I thought you would be happy for me. I can finally become someone, become what you influenced me to be. -Shifts some of his hair from his eyes- Do you really think I've forgotten about you? Or that I would? Quite honestly, you're all I ever think about.. And if it takes the rest of my life I'll prove that to you, Vespera. You act as though because I grew its a burden on you and that you don't even want to remain friends with me. -He couldn't help but sigh, his head spinning with thoughts.- Is that really what you want?

Vespera: -her eyes widen, head shaking quickly, yellow eyes visible briefly, their snake like slits narrower than usual- No. No no. Not a burden. Am I speaking incorrectly? -Her ears flop down, peering behind bangs to look up at Obsidian, hiding her face once more.- Obsidian, I wish to be friends.... I merely worry that one day I'll become a memory. -She pauses, finally realizing what he has said at first and sputtering slightly, tail flicking around herself- Is that... so? -Is that a light blush? Hush. No. Of course not....-

Obsidian: Then why not allow yourself to be happy? You're hiding behind your bangs.. behind your nonchalant attitude.. Acting as though nothing matters, not even me. Do you really want to be alone so badly? -It was obvious he was becoming slightly annoyed.- Things don't have to change just because I'm an adult now. We can still have fun, you can still teach me things. You won't become just a memory unless you become so adamant about keeping me away. -He sat down, ears flicked in a backwards position.- I'm not going anywhere dammit. So get use to it.

Vespera: -She wasn't sure how to respond, listening to his agitation in silence. Her mouth turned into a thin scowl when he mentioned her hiding behind her bangs, making a point to flip hair from her eyes to reveal her snake like orbs, for once giving him a view of her face. Her ear twitched as she heard rustling, tensing considerably as her nails dug into the stone, tail lashing violently briefly.- You are far to persistent for your own health. -Despite the words she says she seems to give up, shoulders lowering as well as that thin scowl-

Obsidian: Oh? -He circled her, his eyes never veering from her. His own tail was flicking, almost mirroring her own.- Do you really want me to leave?

Vespera: -Huffing in agitation, her tail flicked side to side. Wait? What? Looking at him under her bangs, the woman let out a low whine that turned into a grunt- Honestly? -She grunted, shaking her head.- No. I don't want you to leave..

Obsidian: -Lowers his head somewhat to try and look at her face from under her bangs.- Vespera... -He inched closer toward her, being careful to move slowly to not spook her. He could tell she was hurting, but the pain seemed to be an old wound that she was having a hard time acknowledging was even there. Taking another step, he very gently curled his body around hers, just barely not touching her. He wanted her to know he was there, he knew she wanted.. needed it, even if she wouldn't admit it.-

Vespera: -Raising her head as he curled around her, her ear flicked once, having noticed him try and peer under her bangs, her tail flicking idly before swiftly she shook her head, sweeping her bangs to one side and flicking snake-like eyes to glance at him, deciding that perhaps he could see her face for this one time.- Was it you leaving presents?

Obsidian: -He frowns and sighs, so she found out. He figured she would now growl at him and make him regret being here even more. His tail flicked against the ground in agitation.- Yes, it was me. -His body tensed, waiting for her disapproval.-

Vespera: -While it was true she briefly considered whapping him against the head, she didn't. Instead, with a steady sigh and fidget, she nodded in response- I wish you hadn't. -she finally admitted, head turning to the side to allow hair to flip before her eyes once more- I wish instead you had come to see me. I much prefer your company over presents any day. And I missed you.

Obsidian: -He had expected her to show her disapproval. He had expected her to kick his a** and tell him how much of an idiot he was. However, he hadn't expected this response.- You missed me? -He sputtered. His eyes widened slightly toward her. He couldn't believe her words.-

Vespera: -Nodding gently, her head raised as her ears flicked back- Yes. I don't have friends. Maybe my bodyguard, Kraus, ((I changed his name)). But he is gone. Besides, you never looked at me strange and were a good friend. I missed you. -Looking away, the woman toyed with her armor before shaking her head gently- So next time, please tell me when you leave.

Obsidian: I left... so I could learn to be strong on my own. So that I could prove myself to you. So I could prove to myself that I was worthy of you. -He let out a breath.- I left you those presents... so that you knew I hadn't forgotten about you. I told you I wouldn't... I meant it...

Vespera: -Blinking at him, her ears flicked, surprise flicking across her covered face, a blush following. Moving away, the ex-princess had no idea what to say, nervously toying with her armor once more.- Uhm. -Uhm? She was such a fool- Where.... where do you live?

Obsidian: I guess that's a habit I haven't lost from my parents... I've been moving around, trying to experience the world. However, when I can I've been checking on you.. making sure you've been okay. -He turned his eyes toward her, trying to figure out her expressions. Was she nervous?-

Vespera: Then, if you get tired you can rest here, I suppose. I'm not a good cook. I know I shouldn't live in a cave, too, but it's the only safe place I know. But, I can hunt well and bring you food when you stop by.

Obsidian: -His lips turn into a very light smile.- I would like that. -Straightens slightly.- Is that an invitation to stop by more often?

Vespera: Maybe. If you see it that way. -Pausing, she realized how unfriendly that sounded, voice lowering slightly- I'll.... make a spot for you to lay down... So next time you come over you can rest.

Obsidian: Maybe... next time I come over I can bring you food... -He let out a slight sigh. He was realizing this wouldn't be easy. No matter how much he wanted to just sit next to her and talk as though they were still good friends, he was realizing it wasn't going to happen. He could tell a part of her still wanted to be friends, but she was so intent on pushing him away.-

Vespera: -At the mention of food brought to her her head turned, eyes widening under hair- Really?! -She hadn't had anything except wildlife for the past year or so.- You'll bring me food? As in, not wildlife? Already cooked food?

Obsidian: -Surprised by her excitement, he grinned.- Well, it would start out as wildlife.. But yeah, I can make you some food. My father knows quite a bit about herbs, and he's taught me a little. I think I can make some dishes, if you don't mind me cooking it here. Is there anything in particular you'd like?

Vespera: You can cook? I wasn't allowed to back at home. I was only allowed to take certain lessons and train for fighting. -Tail hastily wagging, she nodded quickly- I enjoy spicy foods, or so I remembered. I once had something sweet when I left home, and it would have been delicious if it hadn't been so mushy. I guess what I really want is something spicy, open up the mouth~

Obsidian: -He smiles at her.- Then alright, next time I come I'll make you a spicy meal. -Starts to try to come up with ideas in his head.-

Vespera: Thank you. -Watching him curiously, she frowned as she moved to adjust some cloths in the background- Tell me, what things do you like? Food and item wise.

Obsidian: Sweet things are good.. Spicy is also good. You should try chocolate.. I think you might like it. -He flicked his tail around himself.- Umm... You know I'm honestly not sure. I haven't spent a lot of time in society. Its something I'd like to figure out though.

Vespera: Nodding, the woman wrinkled her nose slightly, head tilting- Chocolate? What is that? -As she waited for a response she considered items and foods to attempt to retrieve for the male. Perhaps something shiny....-

Obsidian: Its umm.. its sweet. Its kind of hard to explain. I'll bring some next time I come by.. I hope you'll like it. -He was starting to feel a little more at ease with her... finally. He hoped it would continue to go well.-

Vespera: -With a nod, she went to the darker parts of the cave, dragging along cloths with her as she did.- Then, it's a deal. You return with food, and I'll have this place set up for you to be able to peacefully rest here. And... -shaking her head, she cut her sentence off immediately- Perhaps I'll work on making more weapons while you're gone, too.

Obsidian: -He gave a quick nod.- It sounds good. Perhaps I'll go figure out exactly what I want to make. -And probably practice it a bit to make sure it tasted good. He added to himself.-

Finally Co-Existing?

Vespera: -It had been awhile since he left. Obsidian, that was. Already she was restless, though she blamed never leaving the cave for long rather then simply missing him. Kraus had returned once, she hadn't seen him but he had left something wrapped in a bundle. When she opened it she realized it was bread, and had saved it for the day Obsidian returned.-

Sirru Volos: -His eyes veered forth, bright red in hue, burning through the darkness. When he spotted the lone female figure, he couldn't help but grin. His fangs glinted in what little light was in the cave. He knew he had recognized her... and now her hiding had come to an end.- Ah... Little Vespera... All grown up now I see. And quite the beautiful lady. -His grin grew wilder, almost as if there was madness behind it.-

Vespera: -A voice? Her head turned, and then suddenly she almost screamed. No. Taking a step back, her eyes widened, horror in them. When had she become.... found? No, she couldn't be a queen again. She couldn't be a queen. For a second, she looked about to run, however her heart lurched and suddenly her body leapt, ramming into the other male and sending him to the ground, her teeth clasped around his neck, threatening. A low snarl escaped her, tail lashing as her nails dug. She didn't need to say anything, however the question was evident. If he did not explain what the hell he wanted....-

Sirru: -Instead of a blow, instead of a whine, instead of anything expected, there was a sudden unmistakable noise in the air; it was started out low until the sound almost exploded; laughter. He was laughing. His body began to shake in it underneath her.- Ah! Same old Vespera! How entertaining! And look at you! Biting the neck of a vampire! Irony! How I love it. -He gave that same maddening grin.-

Vespera: -Snarling, she released his neck, spitting out the taste of the male. Tail still lashing, the woman sat on his chest, hair covering her eyes as usual. What the hell was this man doing here? And how... had he found her? Had Kraus finally left her?- Why are you here? -She finally spat out- I am not returning home.

Sirru: -He couldn't help but continue to laugh, his paw touching his neck.- Awww... no blood? I'm insulted! Why am I here? Do I really need a reason? -He lifted his head so that he could look directly into her eyes.- Oh? I guess you haven't heard then! There is no home to return to...

Vespera: -Tail flicking, she stared at him. Snarling, again, her shoulders relaxed slowly as the weight of his words hit him- .... What happened?

Sirru: Well, after you left there was no one to rule the herd. There was a huge vying for power, yada, yada, yada... And well, it basically tore itself apart. -His shoulders raised in a shrug, eluding to a nonchalance about the whole situation.- It was bound to happen really. I've heard rumors that Nilki gathered up some of the old members and some new, to form a rather... barbaric tribe in its absence.. Not at all what your parents had in mind. Its rather tragic, don't you think?

Obsidian: -It was around this time that Obsidian stepped into the cave only to find himself horrified.- Vespera... -He felt shock and a bit of anger welling up in his stomach. Just who was this guy that she was sitting on?!-

Vespera: -Snarling lowly, she bared her teeth at him- I never ruled in the first place. The kingdom had false hopes for me, despite how I made it clear I had no interest in being their ruler, and last time I remembered, you were one of those people. -Her eyes widened, tail twitching and wings flicking at the mention of Nilki- What? .... Barbaric? What has become of them? -Concern touched her voice, her previous hostility fading. Then Obsidian walked in, her eyes flicking towards him under her bangs. She considered suddenly explaining that it "wasn't what it looked like", however she shouldn't need to defend herself too him.- Obsidian, hello. -She stayed on Sirru, turning her head to glare at him- Don't say anything stupid, Sirru. -With this, she left his chest and sat beside him, giving him a clear look that read "If you bother Obsidian I will rip your tongue out."

Sirru: Actually, you're wrong, Princess. -His eyes narrowed and for the first time his face took on a rather serious expression.- I could have cared less rather you ruled or not. In fact, you paint me with a hint of hate that you misplace. I've never had any intentions of making you rule. If you heart isn't it in, than the flight would have been worse off than it already is. I only tell you what I'm telling you so you realize that your decisions have consequences. -He lifted himself to his paws, dusting himself off. When he saw Obsidian, his eyes flicked over and he grinned just a little bit.- Ah, so is this your lover boy? Come to rescue his sweet Princess?

Obsidian: -Frowning, he looked from Sirru to Vespera and then back again.- What is he talking about Vespera?

Vespera: -At the name Princess she twitched, head turning towards him, glaring. That was precisely the name she hated. Then Obsidian spoke, and her head turned, stiffening. What... was she supposed to say? Her heart hammered inside her chest, biting the bottom of her lip. No. She was never supposed too tell him, and she never wanted too. Yet here he was. She could simply flick this off, right? Though would Sirru play with her?- He's insane, that is all. Princess is a common term that leaves his stupid mouth, and he was once a childhood friend that played games with me. He never seemed to leave those games.

Obsidian: -His eyes narrowed as he glanced at Vespera. It was bullshit. The words coming from her mouth was a bunch of lies, and he could tell they were. She was hiding this from him. More walls. More bullshit that he had to climb through just to win her favor? When did it stop?!- Am I really suppose to believe that? -He was having a hard time trying to keep his anger under check.-

Sirru: Ooo... a hit and a miss! That must sting there, Princess! -He gave his wicked insanity grin. He truly could play the crazy, if that was what she wanted. However, he was having a hard time believing that she'd want to push this kid out of her life that badly, but it was what she was doing. So who was he to judge? Slinking toward the two, he gave Vespera that maddening grin that told her she might very well regret her decision, because it meant she owed him.- Oh yes... so incredibly crazy! You should watch yourself around me there, Prince. Who knows quite when I'll go off the deep end and do something really insane! You can never trust the crazies, you know?
