It was a long, long day. It felt like it had been a week before Jerry finally texted her saying he was okay to see her again, and she instantly cheered up. Did he forgive her? Oh please say he forgave her! Was he still made about the alcohol thing? She..she really didn't think he was just some alcoholic! Honest! But looking back on her behavior she supposed she did come off as thinking that; Candace owed it to Jerry to prove to him that was not what she thought about him.
She had wasted no time in telling him to hang on and that she'd be over to visit him in a minute, hurrying to the office of everyone's favorite Life leader to ask a favor of him. A bottle of bourbon was all she wanted, that and two glasses. She promised not to finish the bourbon and bring back whatever was left, and she would wash and return the two glasses; Candace was prepared to offer the doctor all kinds of things. But it seemed to take a bit less convincing than she thought, to which she was actually mildly disappointed.
She'd been hoping to be able to have a little fun, to be quite honest.
Perhaps it was a good thing it didn't take much time. It meant Candace could go to Jerry relatively guilt free, carrying a small bag that held her peace offering as she knocked on Jerry's door twice before letting herself in. "Jerrbear~?" She sang out cheerfully, looking around the room until she spotted him. "Heeeeey, honey."

Jerry had been hunched over his guitar on his bed, a half-filled notebook at his ankles when her call came. He and Roar had... settled their differences of opinion as far as he was concerned, but even so he had been anxious.
He had also been avoiding a lot of people far too much. Solitary was not in his nature, really. A couple days to gather himself had been enough, and he looked honestly relieved to hear her voice, "Candace! Come in, I was just-" The notebook was flipped closed with his foot before he rose to politely greet her.

"Writing more songs?" Candace asked with genuine interest as she closed the door behind her, walking over to where he was sitting. Awww, why did he close the notebook? She wanted to see! Oh well, maybe he'd show her later. As he stood she smiled and very gently set the bag down beside his bed, walking over and quietly slipping her arms around his waist. She tucked her head under his chin and made a happy little noise, almost purring with delight. She'd missed him. She didn't like when he was mad at her. "I missed youuuu." She whined, closing her eyes and hugging him tightly. "I'm sorry I was such a b***h." She really was.

"Ahaha um. Always. They're not done though," He was thankfully side tracked from his self consciousness as hugs were had. He smiled softly, wrapping his arms around her to sigh into her hair. See? Roar was crazy, that's all there was to it. "I'm sorry I was a bit of a grouch."

Candace made another happy noise as he returned her hug, pressing a kiss against his neck before nuzzling her face against him. Oh, how she adored him. It was moments like this that made her able to tolerate the occasional fight and disagreement. He'd accused her of a couple of terrible things but...with what she was doing behind his back? She kind of deserved it without him even knowing.
And it would stay that way.
"Ohhh, I see. Maybe you can play some for me later? I'd like to hear." She grinned, quieting as he sighed into her hair and apologized. Candace's smile softened and a hand gently rubbed his back, closing her eyes and leaning into him. "It's okay. You were justified~. I was..out of line. I'm sorry. I don't think you're some stupid alcoholic, Jerry. And I'm sorry I came off that way." She frowned, sliding her arms free from around his middle to put them on his shoulders and lean back in his arms without moving free from them. "So I'm not...mad you were being a grouch. You had ever right to be. It's not often I admit I was wrong, Jerry~. You know how I feel about doing something wrong." Candace reminded him with a quiet chuckle, lifting a hand to cup his scarred cheek and just looking up at him with a little pout. She really was sorry. She didn't want to upset him, it sucked. Relationships were hard, okay? No wonder she hadn't been a fan of them for so long.
"..Can we sit~?" Candace suddenly asked with an embarrassed smile, lifting one leg so her weight wasn't on it anymore. It was wrapped in a bandage, and at least the bleeding had stopped but it was still rather sore to stand on for too long. "Oh! I uh..brought a gift, too!" Forgiveness, she wanted it so hard.

Jerry flushed at her apology, sighing against her before finally leaning back, "Er, yeah, sure! We can sit, yeah," The phrase 'lover's spat' bubbled in the back of his mind, and he smiled softly as they moved to make themselves more comfortable. "A present? Candace, you didn't need to... we just both needed to cool down. And ahah... um. Recover."

As he lead her to the bed she happily sat down upon it, leaning down to rub her leg a little to soothe the dull throbbing pain before she kicked off her shoes, took off her rings and turned to get comfortable. She laid down, tugging Jerry along with her and snuggling close with her head against his chest right above his heart. This was nice. She closed her eyes and gave a happy sigh, a hand slipping under his shirt to just rest against his stomach; it wasn't going to wander, at most it would occasionally rub his abdomen but other than that she behaved. She just wanted to touch him, honestly. Peace and quiet, that was all Candace wanted right now. "I know I didn't." She said quietly, listening to the beat of his heart under her ear. "I wanted to. But I won't bring it out just yet, alright? Later..." Candace smiled, turning her head to press a light kiss against his chest before settling down again.
"I've passed my first three tasks." She said conversationally, turning her head enough to look up at his face. "Four more to go~. What about you? Have you got any plans for a mission soon?" Her hand rubbed at his side underneath his shirt, keeping her touch light and gentle for now; while Candace would love for him to get the wrong idea she didn't..actually want him to get the wrong idea. She wasn't trying to make him have sex with her this time, she just wanted to relax with her boyfriend. They really needed it.

"That's... that's fantastic! How many are you er... taking on this week?" He shivered at her touch, but didn't recoil at least. Yeah... he wanted this. Her gentle hands. He breathed in deeply, hands trembling as they gently went to her shoulders, massaging in slow, appreciative motions.

"That might be it for the week. I might try the death course a few times but only because it's done with a golem. Aria said I'm not allowed to do anything until my leg is healed, which is a very good idea." She chuckled, her rubbing growing slightly firmer for a moment before relaxing again. The massaging against her shoulders made her pause, purring happily and nuzzling her face against his chest. Oh yes, this was nice. This was amazing. Sex wasn't even on her mind as she draped a leg over his waist and pressed against him. "That feels nice." Candace murmured happily, shivering against him.
"Don't forget to do your mission soon too, honey. You earned your promotion fair and square, and you did nothing to deserve losing it." Many of them did nothing to deserve demotion. Candace purred again and shifted her shoulders. "You really are good with your fingers." Oops! Wait! No sex comments! Not right now. This was quiet time.
Candace moved, freeing her hand from inside his shirt and resting both hands on his chest, placing her chin on them and looking toward him with wide, innocent eyes. "You know how important you are to me, right?" She began quietly. "I just want you to be happy, Jerry." Her fingers gently massaged his chest, not moving her hand from their place. "Do...do I make you happy?"

"Yeah I've just... had a lot on my mind," He smiled weakly, "I'll get to it-" He gave a breathy sigh, shivering a bit with a blush at her compliment. "Musician hands I guess? Ahahaha..." Why was he always so nervous? There was no reason to be nervous. She was his girlfriend, he was her boyfriend, and despite what Roar kept grunting in th eback of his head he *was not gay*. He just... still was getting used to this casual intimacy. Even after all of these months. He continued to rationalize his anxiety until he realized she had asked him a question. "Huh? Oh! Of course you do!" His smile returned as he resumed his own massaging. The muscles of her shoulders and neck were tense, clearly stressed from... the whole week. "Just seeing your face brightens any foggy day."

Ah, that made sense. She could understand that very easily. But Candace couldn't come up with any proper words what with his hands still working at the knots in her muscles. It felt amazing, just like when H had massaged her poor, battered legs. It wasn't as intense at that session had been but it still felt so nice to have him doing this for her. After a stressful week it was nice to just relax and enjoy quiet attentions. This was making her dangerously relaxed, purring contently as she seemed to just melt against Jerry and cling to him. Hadn't she meant to give him the attention? To make up for being a b***h? When did it become him giving her a massage and...
...And saying the sweetest thing ever.
Candace's eyes opened to look up at Jerry with surprise, her cheeks darkening as she blushed. "Really?" She asked breathlessly, gripping the front of his shirt and burying her face against his chest to hide the huge smile on her face. She brightened up his day. He chose her. He loved her. "You do the same for me, Jerrbear." Candace murmured, pressing a kiss against his chest despite the sweatervest in her way. She paused a moment to move away from his touches only long enough to take off her coat and put it aside, her scarf following suit before she settled back down beside him.
"I'm glad. I was worried that with all the stress lately...maybe I wasn't making you as happy as I should." She closed her eyes and gave a happy little sigh. "Because I want you happy. I like it when you smile. And when you laugh. And you're cute when you blush. And you make the cutest noises when you're aro--ah. Um. And...and when you sing." Candace rambled on, her fingers walking up his chest. "Mmm~. I wish I could explain it better. But I can't seem to get the words out. It's strange." Her eyes opened to peer up at Jerry through her bangs. "May I have a kiss~?" She asked with a strangely relaxed giddiness if that made any sense. She tugged on his sleeve, leaning in close. Even after a fight he made her giddy and she felt like a lovestruck teenager.

He did indeed blush, but smiled at least as he leaned in to catch her lips, "Well I certainly enjoy laughing and blushing more than pouting." See, this? This was alright. He liked this. This was nice. This was lovely. This wasn't scary at all.
And he needed to relax. Too much doom and gloom and he'll... start loosing his hair early or something.
And Candace wouldn't like that.
He kissed her again, gently, for good measure.

Aw! He was blushing! Candace giggled helplessly as she leaned in for that kiss, keeping it gentle for now. Jerry was like a cat; you had to be gentle and treat him right so he'd come to you. It was all about playing it right. "Pouting isn't all bad. Sometimes it's very handy in getting what you want." She teased, reaching up to bury her fingers in his hair not realizing he had been thinking about what would happen if he didn't relax and started losing his hair. Candace liked his hair! It was soft and fluffy!
Ohhh! Another kiss! Candace was very happy to receive it, pressing close against him without being too invasive. "It's been awhile since we could have time like this. I missed it." Her voice was soft, as if she worried speaking any louder than a gentle murmur would attract attention and something catastrophic would make them have to get up and leave. Her fingers played with his hair some more, smiling as she leaned in to steal another kiss from his lips. "It's like petting a fluffy puppy~." She teased affectionately after the kiss, eyes turning up to watch the way his hair moved when her fingers toyed with it.

He laughed again, bashfully as he ducked out of her petting grip, "I... I'm long overdue for a cut, ahahah... probably should have tended to that when we went state side over the holidays," He ran his hand through his hair bashfully. He tried to trim it now and then but more often than not he had just let it go over the months, besides trimming the sides when he could help it.

As he ducked away from her hand Candace pouted her lips, letting her hand just rest against his neck for now, rubbing it with her thumb in slow, gentle circles. A haircut, huh? "We did go to a salon, that would've been your perfect chance." She mused, watching his hand move through his hair. She did like it soft and fluffy but if he wanted it cut...did she cut her own hair.
Somewhat regretfully, she sat up. Candace stretched her arms up over her head and stretched out her back with a strained groan before she leaned over to give him another kiss. "If you want it cut I'll do it for you. I'm not a professional by any means but a simple cut and style isn't too difficult." She ruffled her own hair as if to show she could do it. As long as they had scissors...did Jerry shave? Did he have an electric razor with actual blades? That'd be a huge help! But his face was always so smooth. She'd never seen even a little stubble!
