I was scanning through the channels on tv today and I stumbled upon a couple doing a lesson about the Bible. Their names came up on the screen and beside their name were the titles apostle and prophetess. Running through my mind was "W-w-Wait he's calling himself an apostle!" This guy is claiming he was physically called by Christ. Then I started thinking about all the people who didn't understand what this guy was claiming to be just because they don't know the definition. Thus I decided to post definitions of important words for Christians. If you have one you word like to add or wonder about the definition of a word I don't have please just tell me.

Christian - literally means one who follows Christ
Holy - With out blemish, perfect
Faith- Believing in what you cannot see and/or having hope for what is to come
Grace - undeserved favor from God
Salvation - being saved from Hell
Prophecy - the biblical version means the foretelling of what God has revealed of what is to come
Prophet - the one whom God reveals the prophecy and 100% of the prophecies must come to pass
Tongues - A language unknown to man in which God will reveal something. Must have an interpreter when done in public.
Interpreter - A person which God has allowed to understand tongues and translates it for the church.
Gifts of the Spirit - Abilities that God has bestowed on a believer. Everyone will not have the same gifts.
Fruit of the Spirit - The results of the Holy Spirit's presence and working in the lives of believers
Revelation - The lifting of the veil. It is where we get the word reveal from.
Tribulation - the seven year in which God will poor his wrath upon the world
Rapture - When believer will be "caught up" and taken to Heaven
Pre-trib - the belief that the rapture will happen at the beginning of the tribulation
Mid-trib - the belief that the rapture will happen in the middle of the tribulation
Post-trib - the belief that the rapture will happen at the end of the tribulation
Millennial reign - the thousand years that Christ's kingdom shall be on earth
Pre-millennial - the belief that the thousand year reign will happen before the tribulation
Mid-millennial - the belief that the thousand year reign will happen in the middle of the tribulation
Post-millennial - the belief that the thousand year reign will happen after the tribulation
